“Just open up, Jeffy. This is great, ain’t it? Yeah, you’re sharin’ that hot ass with me. Makes me feel real special, you know? You’re so take charge and dominant, and you’re lettin’ me fuck you. That’s hot, Jeff. Real hot.”

“You’re the hot one, Mike. You’re special too. Love ya, buddy.” His eyes lit up.

“I love you too, Jeff.” He got up on his knees and grabbed my ankles, spreading my legs even further and pushing them back so my knees were back by my shoulders.

“Hot damn, you got a beautiful ass. I’m gonna fuck it. Fuck my daddy.”

“That’s what you want, boy?” I knew he got off on being called boy.

“Yeah, that’s what I want. Gonna fuck you nice, gonna make you feel real good.” He reached over, got the lube, and greased up his cock. Mike isn’t small, but I knew that wouldn’t be an issue. I wanted him, and that was three-quarters of the battle. I could feel his cock head pushing against my hole. He kept up a gentle, even pressure. He was looking at my face, judging my reactions.

“Go for it, Mike!” With that, I felt him slide in with one long, but slow stroke. I took a deep breath. It hurt a bit. I kept my face impassive. I wanted him to enjoy this.

“You okay, Jeffy?”

“Fine, just hold it there for a minute. Let me get used to it. Kiss me.” He leaned over and we began to kiss. I could feel myself relaxing around him.

“How’s it feel, bein’ in me?”

“God, it’s good. You’re so tight, just like a glove, so warm. You ready for a bit more?”

“Yep. C’mon, buddy, fuck me, show me what it feels like.” He slowly began to fuck, withdrawing his cock and then sliding it back in to the hilt. It didn’t hurt anymore. I put my hands back behind my head and just enjoyed the ride. I gotta admit, it was really hot, lookin’ up at him. He continued with a nice easy rhythm. We knew each other well enough that he could play my body like an instrument. He pushed my legs even further apart. It felt like I was gonna be torn in half, but I didn’t complain. This was something I was sharing with Mike. It was not usual for me, but the connection we had going was incredible. I could feel his pleasure as well as my own, and was certain he was on the same page. After a few minutes, he put my feet on his shoulders and took ahold of my cock. He began to stroke it in the same rhythm that his cock was massaging my prostate.

“Uhh… Mike, feels good. Yeeeah… I love your hands on my cock.”

“You love my dick in your ass too, don’t ya.”

“Hell yeah.”

“Next time you’re gonna fuck me though.”

“You got it, bud.” He began to fondle my balls with his other hand. I was being hit with an almost unbearably intense mix of feelings. I could feel waves of pleasure running through my body. It wasn’t only my cock, balls, and ass that felt great, it was all of me. It seemed like every muscle, every nerve in my body was tight and tingling with an intense pleasure. Mike had picked up the pace, both on my ass and my cock. He stared down at me. His eyes were a bit unfocused, but he didn’t close them or look away.

“Close, Jeff, I’m so close. Bein’ in you is just too fuckin’ much.” I could feel his cock swelling, and I could see the veins in his neck bulge. He continued looking in my eyes. I could feel his cock twitching and shooting inside me.

“Jeff, yeah, Jeff!” The last time he said my name, it was a yell. It had a pleading quality to it also. I continued to hold his gaze, lost in those beautiful, golden-brown eyes. If the eyes are the window to the soul, Mike’s was open to me. I could see love, caring, compassion, and a host of other positive emotions as he continued to pump and shoot. I felt myself tensing. My entire body was starting to shake. I felt my balls draw up and my cock swell and harden even more. The look in his eyes was the most erotic thing I’ve ever seen. I was dancing on the brink of one hell of an orgasm. My body seemed to ride the crest for minutes. I was shaking hard now, and finally my cock began to twitch, and I felt myself shoot. It felt like I was coming for a while. I finally relaxed, and Mike collapsed on me. We lay like that for a while, arms and legs intertwined, enjoying the full body contact. Finally Mike pulled up.

“Lemme get a washcloth and a towel for us. There’s cum everywhere.” He was back in a flash and cleaned me off before wiping himself up. We got under the covers and snuggled into a spoon with me holding him.

“Jeffy?”

“Uh-huh?”

“Thanks.”

“Thank you, buddy. That was nice. Now let’s get some sleep. We done used up this day.” He pushed back into me. We both drifted off, all wrapped up together.

Chapter Twelve

HE
wind hit me full in the face as we galloped across the upper pasture. Storms coming down off the North Cascades had scoured the area clean of snow. Although the sky was gray, the air was clear, and the view was intoxicating. To the west, the mountains were cloaked in various shades of blue and white, and to the east, I could see the valley stretching down to the desert, green and white first, then a dun brown. It was the first time I’d ridden Orion, the Akhal Teke stallion I’d just bought. He was spirited and needed a firm hand to rein him in. After an hour or so of forcing him to do what I wanted and go where I guided him, he settled down. Now I just had to lightly touch the reins or his neck with my hand, and he obeyed my commands instantly. I could hear hoofbeats behind me. Mike had caught up. I had slowed to a trot. Our destination was just ahead.

“You sure we ain’t gonna freeze our asses off, havin’ a picnic up here in the dead of winter?” Mike had thought I was joshing him when I suggested a picnic.

“I’ll tell ya what. If your cute little ass gets frozen, I’ll unthaw it for ya.” He grinned at me. He pulled up next to me and leaned over. We shared a kiss.

“You got a deal there, Jeffy. Where are we goin’?”

“See those rocks up ahead? We’re headed right in there.”

“Okay.” He didn’t sound too sure though.

We approached the rocks. We were up at the top of Lucky Jeff Bluff. There were occasional rock outcroppings here as the land sloped upward to the mountains. The outcropping I’d pointed out to Mike faced southeast and had a copse of trees behind it. When we reached the rocks, I jumped off Orion and hobbled him in a patch of dry grass. Mike followed suit with his horse, Thundercloud. I grabbed my daypack from one of the saddle bags and a small bundle from another and headed off into the rocks.

“You sure you know where you’re goin’?”

“Relax, buddy, I grew up here. I’m takin’ you to a place I found as a kid.” I walked though the rocks. We came around a turn and got to the place I’d wanted to share with Mike. Several large boulders formed a type of a V-shaped wall up to the face of a small bluff. Pines stood thick atop of it, shielding it from the wind. In eons past, the wind and possibly water had carved out a hollow in the bluff. It faced southeast, where it could absorb the day’s sun. As we stepped into the hollow, the temperature seemed several degrees warmer. The edge of Lucky Jeff Bluff was about thirty-five feet away. The view was beautiful, the hills forming the south boundary of the valley and frozen river twisting sinuously through the woods and meadows, all covered in a pristine, white blanket. Toward the front of the hollow was a small fire pit I’d built as a kid. I checked an indentation in the rock which formed a little cupboard type of recess. Though I hadn’t been here in years, the wood I’d put there was still there and dry.

“Mike, why don’t you take out the blankets in the bigger bundle so we’ll have someplace nice and soft to sit.” He followed my instructions, placing them on a patch of sand right up against the back wall of the hollow. I built a small fire. When I turned back to Mike, he was unpacking the lunch I’d brought.

“I admit it, Jeffy, this winter picnic is a good idea. This place is perfect. With the fire goin’, it’s almost room temperature in here.”

“I’m glad you like it. With the dudes and gettin’ the dude ranch all goin’, your dad and stuff, I wanted to have some time for just the two of us.” I shrugged off my coat and sat next to him.

“What kinda sandwiches are these?”

“They’re called muffaletta sandwiches. The recipe is from New Orleans. I found it online.”

He took a bite. “These are really good, Jeff, thanks!” He leaned against me, and I put my arm around his shoulders. I continued to eat my sandwich with my other hand. “The view here is awesome too. Thanks for bringin’ me here.”

“It’s a special place to me, and I wanted to show it to ya.” We finished off our sandwiches in companionable silence.

“So you came here a lot when you were a kid?”

“Yeah, I did. It was my place to get away from everything. Remember I told you that my dad and Sheriff Johnston taught me how to fight after I told ’em I was gettin’ picked on?”

“Yeah.”

“Before I told ’em, this is where I’d come to hide out. You’re the only one I’ve ever told about this place.”

“Makes me feel right special, Jeffy.”

“You are special, Mike. It’s hard for me to imagine anymore what life was like before you, or what it’d be like without you.”

“I reckon that means you’re gonna keep me.”

“If you behave.” We both laughed at that. I reached over to my coat and pulled a flask out of the inside pocket. I took a swig and handed it to Mike.

“What is it?”

“Cognac, a real nice brandy.” He took a swallow.

“Strong stuff, but it’s good.” He leaned against me. I put my arm back around his shoulders. We stared out across the valley. It looked like the clouds were breaking up. With luck, the sun would come out.

Mike commented to me, “It’s nice up here, just the two of us, eh Jeff? The rest of the world and all its worries seem far away.”

“It does at that. It’s peaceful up here, a good place to think.”

“Jeffy?” I looked at him. “Thanks again for last night. I really enjoyed that.”

“I’m glad you did.”

“I was kind of afraid to ask if I could top you.”

“Why’s that? We’re partners Mike. I’ve always told you we’re equals. If you wanna take charge once in a while, that’s fine by me.”

“You’re just a natural top, a natural dominant guy. It seemed really different, reversin’ roles. I know you’ve never really bottomed much before, and I don’t really have any practice toppin’. Once you let me go for it, I wanted to make sure you liked it.”

“Mike, you know I love you, don’t ya?” He nodded at me. “We’ve been together almost six months now, right?” Another nod. “I don’t think in that six months we’ve spent more than a few hours apart. We do pretty much everything together. Havin’ you fuck me is somethin’ I was ready to experience when you mentioned it. Comin’ together physically like that to me is an expression of how much we care about each other. The way I feel is since we’re partners, in love and in a monogamous relationship, if you or I wanna try somethin’ different, it’s gotta be mentioned and considered.”

“You’re really special, Jeffy. I reckon they threw away the mold when they made you. In any case, I’m one hell of a lucky guy.”

“That makes two of us then. On a different note, are you lookin’ forward to the gay rodeo?”

“I sure am. It’ll be fun competin’ with you as a team when we rope. I know we do it all the time around here, but seein’ our names together in a rodeo program and bein’ in the arena with you is gonna be great!”

“I hope you still think it’s great when I win more buckles than you.”

“In your dreams, Jeffy. I’m gonna wipe up the arena with that cute ass of yours.”

“Ya fuck me and then you get all cocky. I’m just gonna have to teach you a good lesson, Mike, show ya who’s the better cowboy.”

“We’ll just have to see in Phoenix, won’t we? I’m also glad that the Cutter hasn’t operated in Phoenix. I reckon it’ll be nice to be able to let our guard down. By the way, did I tell you my dad called this morning when you were saddlin’ the horses?”

“No, what’s up?”

“That asshole Holder questioned him about the two bodies they’ve found up here. He as much as accused him of bein’ involved. He also implied that Dad’s bein’ involved in PFLAG is just a cover-up. He asked if Dad was the one that tried to kidnap me to break us apart because he’s not as acceptin’ as he seems to have become.”

I thought for a minute. I had to agree that Holder was an asshole, but I did see a pattern in his questioning. Then a thought occurred to me. “Did your dad ask him to check out his legs?”

Mike gave a short, mirthless laugh. “No, he didn’t think of it until after Holder left. He was so floored by the accusation that he didn’t know how to react.”

“I reckon that he went from the bad cop routine to the good cop.”

“Yeah, that seems to be the way he operates.”

“He’s just doin’ his job, even though he goes about it in a real obnoxious way. If he catches the Cutter though, I’ll never say another word about his methods.”

“Jeffy, I hope we never come in contact with him again to be able to say a bad word about his methods.”

“You and me both, buddy, you and me both.”

He gave me a big grin and put his head on my shoulder. I was really glad I’d brought him here to this special place. After a while, he spoke up.

“Hey Jeff, we’re still gonna play in the snowshoe softball game this weekend, aren’t we?”

“Yeah, plans haven’t changed. Why?”

“I thought when we got home, we might wanna put on our snowshoes and toss around a softball, just to get the feel of bein’ on snowshoes and playin’ ball.”

“Good idea, Mike. That sounds like a lot of fun. If we’re gonna do that, we ought to get saddled up and back down to the ranch.” We began puttin’ stuff away and puttin’ out the fire. In just a few minutes, we were headed back to the ranch.

we got back, we changed into snowshoe-type gear and our snowshoes. I’d brought out our gloves and a softball. Our idea was just to throw the ball around and play catch on the snowshoes.

“Tell me more about this snowshoe softball that you signed us up for.”

I waited to answer until he had tossed me the ball. “It’s just like it sounds. It’s a softball game played on snowshoes. The town puts it on every year for entertainment for both folks from around here and for tourists. It’s pretty popular.”
