“You should go to him, Angel. You're family,” Oscar quietly advised.

With his elbow resting on the armrest, Angel slowly rubbed his finger over his chin and remained silent as he continued to stare at the house. He'd contemplated this moment ever since Dom had walked out of the warehouse several months ago. They'd spoken once, briefly, and Dominick had extended an invitation for him to get together to talk.

He closed his eyes and inhaled a deep breath. It had been so good seeing his brother. He'd missed him. As Oscar said, he was the only family he had left.

The anniversary of his parent’s death was today. That's what had made him come by his brother's house, even if he didn’t plan on seeing him. He needed to be near Nick because he was the only one who could understand the soul numbing grief because of the loss of their parents.

Angel had always expected to reconcile with them one day, had looked forward to the moment when they would open their arms and welcome him back into their lives

and forgive him. It was said that the love of a parent was unconditional. He had desperately held on to that thought up until their death. Now, it was too late to make amends.

And all because of the act of one man whose evil ways rivaled those of the devil himself. But Angel was getting ready to handle that. His eyes slowly opened and dangerously glittered until they resembled sparkling emeralds. The almighty God had dealt with the fallen angel, Lucifer, and Angelo was getting ready to bring one of his spawns to his knees. He now had the information to do it. And he was going to enjoy every moment of it.

“Is everything ready?” he asked Oscar.

“Yes.”

Angel nodded once in acknowledgment. The next time he contacted Dominick, it would be to let him know that the man who murdered their parents was going through his own personal hell right here on earth.

A cold, calculating smile pulled at the corner of Angel's mouth. He thought about the events getting ready to unfold in the life of the unsuspecting piece of shit whose existence was about to be irrevocably altered. What Angel had planned for him would be a fate so much worse than death, one that he would have to live out for the rest of his miserable days.

Slowly exhaling to release the tension he could feel coiling around his body, Angel rolled the window up and met his driver's eye in the mirror.

“Let's go.”
