Using the new information, I set about analysing the elements of the C-54’s encounter. First, I established the path the aircraft had been following and the location over the ocean from which the glow had first been seen. The graphics programs were then run and the graph and map produced were printed out. On the latitude/longitude grid map, the assumed (input) location of the C-54 had been marked by the program, in the usual way. Next, I superimposed the path of the aircraft. Its two additional positions along the flight path were estimated and added to this. Using the viewing angles of the lights and the time lapses between them, I then projected lines from the each location of the aircraft and placed marks on those lines at the estimated distances of the underwater lights. From this exercise I determined the probable position of those lights. This marked up diagram (Fig. 27(a)) is shown below:

Fig. 27(a)

In this way having tentatively determined the position of the
submerged lights
as being 49°40’ N / 50°52’ W, I ran the programs again for that location. The map output was as given below (Fig. 27(b)):

Fig. 27(b)

The output revealed the estimated location to be an intersection area for the computed tracks associated with it. This was something of a triumph, because it meant that the lights’ location could be accessed by ET exploration craft released from any of those paths in space. In other words, it was an ideal location for a base. The large craft witnessed by all those onboard the C-54 could have been departing or had just previously arrived from space. The underwater illuminations had been essential to one of those routine operations, which had been unexpectedly interrupted by the approach of the C-54.

There are many locations all over the world where such track intersections occur. Some of them are known to have been associated with similar unexplained underwater activities.

Com. Bethune had remembered the time of the encounter as being probably just after midnight, local Zone Time. To produce the timings graph, I used the Time Zone meridian of Newfoundland. The result is shown by the output graph (Fig. 27(c)) below:

Fig. 27(c)

The nearest prediction to midnight on 9th/10th February is 23:50 hrs. and this relates to star-related track No.6 . That time could have been the actual time of arrival from space of that disc/dome craft, or a programmed departure time, which was subsequently delayed by the interruption.

As will be continued to be demonstrated, the work described in this book sheds light on many other SAC encounters and establishes, without reasonable doubt, that
programmed on-going surveillance
and exploration of our planet is being carried on by
extraterrestrial agencies

Intruders at Woodbridge and Bentwaters, U.K.

One of the most publicised happenings involving military bases and aircraft to come to public attention in Britain occurred during the summer of 1956. During the night of August 13th, UFO activity broke out and continued for some hours over East Anglia. The RAF and USAF were based in that area and had radar controllers on constant watch for Soviet intruders. At 10:55 pm BST, an American Ground Controlled Approach radar operator at RAF Lakenheath detected a fast-moving target, approaching from the east at an estimated distance of 30 miles. As it came in over the sea its speed had seemed to be between 2000 and 4000 mph. The object quickly overflew RAF Bentwaters
and was lost on the radar scope when it was about 30 miles away. The physical nature of this object was visually confirmed by the air traffic controller on the control tower, but to him it was travelling so fast that its shape was blurred. Interestingly, no sonic boom was heard. The UFO had headed for the neighbouring base of RAF Woodbridge. Observers there saw the same UFO (or a similar one) slow down and hover before it shot off back towards the east. A Venom night fighter was then scrambled from RAF Waterbeach and this was vectored towards the radar target still visible on the screens. The fighter pilot made visual contact and locked his gun-sight onto it as he flew closer to the object. Suddenly, the target disappeared from view and from the fighter’s radar scope and the surprised pilot asked the controllers where it had gone. When they informed him that they had seen the target very suddenly flip backwards and that it was now following him, the RAF pilot then began rapid manoeuvres in an attempt to reverse that situation. Alas for him, the object was seen by the controllers to follow his every manoeuvre precisely, as if it was physically attached to his aircraft. At this point, running low on fuel, the pilot broke off the engagement and returned to his base. As he did so, another Venom fighter was scrambled to take up the chase. However, that attempt to intercept the intruder also failed.

My various sources of information on this invasion of East Anglian airspace had informed me that UFO activity continued until well into the early hours of August 14th, until about 4:30 am BST.

This authenticated series of happenings was of particular interest to me for analysis. As will be shown later, the timings graph for that area, Fig. 28, produced predictions that clearly marked both the start and the alleged finish times of that prolonged activity. The reason for delaying revealing the results obtained, at this point in the account, lies in the fact that the military bases at Bentwater and Woodbridge came into the public spotlight again during 1981.

The Rendlesham Forest Events.

Probably most people in Britain now know that a senior serving USAF officer, Lt. Colonel Halt, in a memorandum to the RAF (MoD), reported that UFO activity and strange happenings had occurred in the forest adjacent to his Woodbridge airbase during the closing days of 1980. This report was leaked to a popular Sunday newspaper and became headline news. The woodland being referred to is Rendlesham Forest, an area which has since become a focal point for UFO investigators and documentary film makers. At first, I had only Lt. Col. Halt’s report to investigate. It became clear that he himself had been involved in some of the forays into the forest. Thereafter the situation became thoroughly confused by claims and counterclaims made by people who said they had witnessed strange events in Rendlesham Forest during that post-Christmas period. To investigate the incidents I needed good solid facts, so nothing could be processed until I was able to be satisfied about the authenticity of the information.

During 1992 I was contacted by Brenda Butler, a resident in that area of Suffolk, who had investigated the events personally. In fact, she was a co-author of the 1984 book
‘Sky Crash’
which dealt with the investigations that Brenda, Dot Street and Jenny Randles had carried out soon after the news of the Halt memorandum became public knowledge. Brenda had heard about my analytical work and wanted to know more about it. It was arranged that she would travel up to Cheshire to familiarise herself with the work and to discuss Rendlesham matters with me. I shared my findings with Brenda and then produced the graph I had created for the Woodbridge area. Brenda had brought along seven recent UFO reports from the area. I think she was impressed when they were found to correspond well with the lines on the timings graph. This graph is now shown as Fig.28. Brenda Butler’s reports are shown as ringed points. The 1956 radar/visuals, dealt with previously, are depicted by two diagonal crosses linked by a dashed vertical line. The lower cross represents the time when a UFO was first detected approaching from the sea and the upper one corresponds to the time when the aerial activity seemed to cease. Both these points lie on predicted lines and the dashed line linking them suggests that other programmed delivery/retrieval paths could have been utilised during that activity period of some four-and-a-half hours.

During the years following my meeting with Brenda Butler, more definitive information about the Rendlesham happenings became available to me and these reports were processed as I received them. It seemed that strange happenings had occurred between December 27th and December 30th, 1980. Altogether, I judged that there had been six key timings, two on the night of 27th/28th and the remainder on the night of 29th/30th. I plotted these times appropriately and got the results which are shown as diagonal crosses at the extreme right of the Fig.28 graph. The events seem to have been linked to two delivery/retrieval paths from space, Nos. 1 and 2, and these had been celestially linked to the position of the sun and to one of the fixed orientations (11:00 hr. RA.) relative to the stars. I felt that this result was a very significant one and validated Lt. Col. Halt’s accounts. In this way,
t
he Rendlesham happenings have been demonstrated to have been perfectly consistent with the recognised pattern of programmed SAC happenings on the global scene.
The strangeness of the events was also consistent. The first step towards understanding the phenomenon is to concede, as I did in the late 1960s, that
the technology being displayed to us is definitely not of this world.
The burning question is why so many people seem to expect it to be?
