EMPLOYMENT
Central Bank & Trust 2007â2011
Senior Infrastructure Architect
Designed and deployed a solution for UNIX users' identity and access management with Single & Simplified Sign On (SSO) using multi-domain / multi-forest Microsoft AD 2003/R2 infrastructure as primary directory source. Used VAS (Vintela Authentication Service) version 3.0.x & 3.3.x for LDAP client configured with PAM and Kerberos on different UNIX (Solaris, AIX, Linux, HP-Ux) platforms, NetApp filers, VMware Infrastructure and other appliances used for UNIX environment support. Used Microsoft Group Policy for configuration and user access management on UNIX clients. Used MIIS (Microsoft Identity Integration Server) with MS-SQL 2003 server to keep different repositories in sync; this included design deployment and integration of MIIS, MS-SQL server, and various identity repositories.
Senior UNIX systems architect on wide variety of UNIX initiatives and support. Supported day to day server operations including IBM AIX, Sun Solaris and RedHat RHEL 4 & 5.
Developed and standardized Midrange Technology Security Baselines including UNIX users' access and privilege baseline in accordance with Corporate Security policies. Architected flexible and scalable solutions to comply with these Security baselines following both domestic (USA) and international regulations.
Developed and executed migration strategies for identity and access related information from standalone UNIX systems, NIS, NIS+, and LDAP to Microsoft AD 2003/R2. Migrated 15000+ UNIX servers with 30,000+ users from 32+ NIS/NIS+ and standalone multi-site environments.
Deployed Concord's (CA) eHealth agents on more than 3000+ UNIX (AIX, Linux, Solaris) systems for performance monitoring, capacity planning, and forecast.
Deployed security monitoring tool (Symantec's ESM) on more than 10,000 UNIX servers using different provisioning methods. Established security baselines based on environments and regulations in ESM to automatically perform system security audit, send alerts, and create status reports. Performed POC testing of SNORT for Intrusion detection / prevention.
Worked on multiple projects using different UNIX/Linux platforms (IBM pSeries, xSeries / Sun / HP) for critical trading environment with contingency environment in compliance with SOX guidelines.
New installs, upgrades, patch management for all kinds of UNIX / Linux platforms using NIM, Jump Start, and Kick Start.
