I lost the electronic version of this book when it was half done and I’ll never do that again. There are probably about 47 versions of it floating around now to avoid it. The good news is that the old saying is actually true – it really was faster the second time.
Thank you, to my husband Mark, who still makes me laugh like crazy. This time, I didn’t read any of the book out loud to him – except for the fight scene. He openly mocked the way it was originally written for days and we cracked up. So, I promptly rewrote that part. He was right.
Thank you to my sister, Jenny, for setting down her horror novels to be the first to read this book. When she would send me feedback, as my direction to her was “tell me everything”, I think I read her feedback about 19 times.
Thank you to my sons, Jack and Sam, for group hugs and crazy days. Try not to fall in love with quotes that encourage hope over hard work. It’s not enough to want something or to be smart – you must pair desires with hard work and a relentless drive to try again (and again)….and again.
Thank you to Josh B. for being among the first to listen to the whole story and all the possibilities and for (ironically) being able to talk to me about Oaxaca. I really liked our couple of philosophy conversations and you really are one of my favorite (former) bosses.
Thank you to Lauren E. for your open mind and incredibly unique perspective. I always walk away from our conversations with a new thought, perspective, or idea. And that’s
really
cool.
Thank you to the lady from the book club for stopping me at Trader Joe’s to say hello. When you introduced me to your daughter as “an author” I was happy for days.
Finally, thank you to those who supported my Kickstarter project:
I can’t begin to tell you how absolutely giddy I was (and still am) that you were willing to support me.
Here goes.
