For those who read EIT, you’ll sadly lament that it wasn’t like EIT. That’s on purpose. EIT is it’s own thing and own genre. This is different. This is about Ada. And Jay (Jayda?). Their journey is unique. EIT had nine books of Perry and Dex’s on and off quest to find love and happiness. Ada and Jay get one book to come together and three in total to test them (let’s hope). (Also, the fact that EIT had nine books explains why Dex is so many people’s favorite book boyfriend. Of course he is, he’s had NINE books. Most romances are standalones and you get ONE book to love a guy).

I’m blabbing on. I know this. But I’ve had a lot to say for a long time (seriously, I just wrote 1,000 words here when I should have written 1,000 in Veiled, oops).

But know this: I am very happy that the passion to write Ada came back to me.

I’m happy that you’ve stuck around. And if this is a new genre for you, I’m happy you took a chance on it.

Thank you.

From the bottom of my heart.

And I will continue to bring you novels that will make you fall in love. I’ll keep staying true to myself and keep writing what I feel from the deepest parts of me.

ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

I spent a thousand words on my special note so I’m just going to make this part quick.

Major thanks to:

- My beta readers, Paula, Pavlina, Arabella, Nina, Rebecca, Kim and Sandra (kind of), plus Jodi Casalles, Amy Harmon and Jay Crownover for wanting to take a read! Also Stephanie, because I have to thank her or she beats me.

- Maryse for all your help – without you taking a chance on Dex and Perry, I wouldn’t be where I am today. It’s all on you, lady. Love you!

- The Hallewood crew and my Anti-Heroes for being so so so supporting and excited and wanting to take a chance on something that’s a bit abnormal in terms of romance. Hope it’s been a wild ride! PS leave a review and I will bless your house with rainbows and Fat Rabbits.

- Laura Helseth for your commitment, spontaneity and encouragement (but NOT for that teddy bear picture, I swear to God, if you show that to me again…)

- Hang Le, I bow to you. Your cover for this is just <3 <3 <3

- Scott Mackenzie for being thoroughly creeped out while I explained certain scenes in detail and for being all “this sounds like a fucking awesome book!” Let’s hope you were right! Also, I still think it’s weird that you like pie as much as Dex does (not sexual innuendo, don’t worry!)

- Special thanks to all the EIT fans AND all my contemporary fans who read this book with an open heart and open mind. I hope you had a lot of fun. I know I did.

- Finally, Bruce. For
not
being one of those dogs that bark at the wall and make me think there’s a ghost there. Not sure I would have survived this book if you were.
