"Are you sure?" he said, all the while raining kisses over her breasts and belly, placing another finger where she needed him most.

"Yes," Jade breathed, barely audible. She felt like she was dripping, so moist that his fingers moved in her with ease. The heavy, throbbing sensation in her core increased the more he rubbed her with his thumb, steadily increasing the pressure until she nearly exploded. She was just hovering on the edge when he suddenly stopped and moved up along her body.

This is really happening, she thought and spread her legs to accommodate him. He took hold of one of her upper thighs and slightly bent it back to lift her towards him. She held her breath when she felt him at her slick entrance, thick and heavy. Closing her eyes, she savored the sensation of him pressing against her, gently moving until her tight entrance gave way.

"Look at me, Jade," he said, and she complied, trembling when she looked into the clouded grey of his gaze. His eyes were dark with desire, but she also saw something vulnerable in them, a part of him that didn't want her to leave him. He yearned to conquer, to possess. "Let me in," he whispered. Then he pushed, and slowly, but firmly entered her, stretching her to the limit. Softly crying out, she stiffened under him while his fingers dug into the soft flesh of her thighs, keeping her exactly where he wanted. Only when he was deeply embedded inside her body, did he stop, giving her time to adjust to him.

"Does it hurt?" he whispered, burying his face at the side of her neck. She felt how much it cost him to hold back.

"No. I mean, a little. But in a good way," she said, amazed by the unexpected sensation caused by their joined bodies. Being filled and stretched felt better than she had ever dreamt about. At the same time it was very different from her romantic, girlish fantasies. This experience was darkly exciting, wild and primal. And she wanted more of it.

Alrik was very still, although she felt him breathing heavily against her skin. He seemed to be waiting until she was ready to go on. With a newfound courage she tried out her muscles around him, clenching him for the very first time. He seemed to like it, for he inhaled sharply. Then she moved a bit against him, just enough to be sure that it didn't hurt anymore. It still burned a little, but then he began to retract, and she was consumed by the overwhelming urge to have him inside her again. When she shoved herself upwards, he pushed back in, and the intensity of the friction increased. As he finally began to move inside her with a steady rhythm, slow and deep, she learned how this worked and began to meet his thrusts.

She had seen couples do this in movies, but never would have guessed how incredible it felt. Just to tease him, she tightened her muscles around him again and heard him groan with delight. He lowered his head and kissed her with short, seductive strokes of his mouth, teasing her with his tongue while he moved faster. Laughing, she pretended to bite him before she caught his lower lip in her mouth, suckling at it. His surprised moan gave her a feeling of power, and she made a mental note to try that on his other body parts later.

Then, Alrik shifted his hips ever so slightly, but it was enough to cause a wonderful friction on the little nub of flesh that begged and yearned to be touched. Moaning, she thrust herself up to meet his strokes, rubbing against him as hard as she could. It only took a few more thrusts, and she exploded into a flash of light, holding on to his shoulders while he entered her harder, faster now. He found his release while she was still convulsing around him, shuddering and calling her name. Then he pulled her closer, moving a few last times until the storm slowly ebbed.

They lay very still for a long moment, and Jade reveled in the feel of his large body weighing down on hers. She ran her tongue over his neck, tasting the salt on his skin, and he placed a kiss on her hair, smiling. Then he gently withdrew and rolled to his side, all the while holding her in his arms. Jade snuggled up against his chest and wrapped a leg around his. The intimacy of this moment felt even better than what they'd shared before. It was soothing to be so close to him, skin on skin, mesmerized by his strength and his irresistible, male scent.

"This was incredible," she murmured, closing her eyes.

"Yes, it was," he answered softly while he tucked her head under his chin.

"I hope you don't regret giving up your virginity to me," he said. "I bet every man down there would have been more than eager to deflower you tonight."

"Not for a second," Jade whispered, molding herself to his side. She wanted to mock him a bit, but felt tired all at once. "Can we do this again?"

"You'll be the death of me, woman." She heard his deep laughter and shivered in his arms, hoping that his words wouldn't come true. But right now, she was so exhausted that she finally drifted away, safely enclosed in his arms.

Chapter Six

When Jade awoke the next morning, she knew that everything had changed. She was a woman now. Her body still felt slightly sore, but she didn't regret a moment of her lovemaking with Alrik, or that she had chosen him for her first lover. Stretching out like a cat, she tried her muscles. They hurt in places she had never felt before. During the night, she had awoken once, surrounded by a wonderful warmth. Alrik had spooned her from behind and kept her so tight in his arms that she felt protected and … almost loved, even if she knew that this bliss wasn't real, and would only last a short time.

She herself had defined the limits very clearly, and he hadn't contradicted her, seemingly not interested in any kind of steady relationship. Nonetheless she allowed herself the short-lived illusion of being held by someone who cared for her and would never let her go. Sighing, she had closed her eyes and fallen asleep again, not realizing that the man holding her was wide awake, staring into the darkness.

Alrik was gone. His pillow still held the impression of his head, and the bed smelled like him. Quickly turning her head to check he wasn’t watching, she quickly buried her face in the sheets, inhaling this wonderfully male fragrance. She blushed when she remembered what he had done to her, how he had taken possession of her body. It was the most intimate thing she had ever experienced. It was astounding that she didn't feel bad now, although she knew that it had just been a one-night stand.

She rose from the bed and wrapped the sheet around herself before she explored the rooms of the penthouse. Obviously, he had left. There was no sign of him anywhere, but when she peeked into the bathroom - fully equipped with a Jacuzzi and a shower large enough to accommodate four people at once – she saw the floor of the shower stall was still wet, so he had been here not too long ago. Washing herself off his body. She blushed again, knowing that it colored her cheeks deeply crimson. It was the curse of all redheads, and she had been mocked for it since elementary school.

She turned on the tap to fill the Jacuzzi and decided that this would take some time. Donning one of Alrik's robes, she ventured over to the room he used as an office, and quickly went through the things on his desk. She opened a few drawers filled with business cards, printed out report sheets of the club's nightly income, a calendar book and cut-out articles from financial magazines - constantly terrified that he'd come back without her noticing.

It was against all of her principles to snoop around in someone's private belongings - especially a man with whom she just had spent the most incredible night of her life -, but she felt that she had no choice. Although she felt deep in her heart that Alrik couldn't be a ruthless criminal (though could she certain of this?), there was no doubt that he was involved in some illegal activities. She wondered what this ‘business’ was that Ascobar had talked about. Drugs, some kind of smuggling, money laundry?

Shivering, she opened another drawer. Maybe she was just too smitten with him to realize what he really was, and what he could never be for her.

Or maybe she should just ask him and tell him the truth. But this would mean trusting him when her brother's life was at stake. Even if she trusted Alrik with her own life, she couldn't risk anything if it concerned Caleb.

There was a high cupboard that perhaps held more information, but it was locked, and she didn't dare break into it when Alrik could come back any second. The last object of interest was his laptop, so she hurried back to the desk and turned it on.

She was lucky. It was already on, so she didn't need to login with a password. His PC was astonishingly clean - it didn't even contain games, porn or whatever men liked on their computers. Again, just business programs and an internet browser. When she opened it to check his URL history, it had been deleted. Sighing, she opened the e-mail program and checked the e-mails he had received over the last few days. His secretary had reminded him of countless meetings with business partners and journalists, some meetings at the golf course, or informing him about musicians and DJs who wanted to perform at the club. There wasn't a single private e-mail, not even in Swedish.

She was just about to turn off the computer when another e-mail arrived. The sender called himself ‘Michael’, without a surname. The subject line was empty, and she didn't dare to open the mail, but she could read it in the lower window since it consisted of only one sentence.

Friday - new delivery from Ukraine expected.

She felt her heart starting to race. Now this was something she could work with! She had no idea what this ‘delivery’ was, nor did she care. But now she had something to tell Ascobar, and she really hoped that this would be useful to him in some way. If this was the kind of information for which he was looking, he might stop threatening Caleb and she’d be free to go on with her life.

The thought of informing the police had crossed her mind, of course, but she had decided that it was too dangerous. She just couldn't imagine that the police would give a damn about the life of an autistic teenager - probably they wouldn't even believe her. After all, what evidence did she have? Some story about a kidnapping from which she had miraculously escaped, and an e-mail mentioning a delivery. It could be some special Vodka he had ordered for his bar, or anything else. All she wanted was to get on with her normal life, go to school and visit her brother as soon as possible, to make sure that he was well.

She had just turned off the monitor of Alrik's laptop and made sure that everything looked exactly the way he had left it, when she heard the front door clicking. "Crap," she whispered, sneaking up to the door of the office. When she peeked out, she was relieved to see that Alrik had already crossed the length of the apartment and gone straight to the bathroom. Maybe he was looking for her since she wasn't in the bed anymore. Quickly she left the office and tiptoed after him, draping herself against the wall when he reappeared from the bathroom. She pulled up one knee and placed a foot against the wall, hoping that her pose looked enticing. She was only wearing a blue silken bathrobe she had put on after showering. It was his, and several sizes too large, so it slipped down over one of her shoulders, revealing a good part of her cleavage.

"Hello," she crooned, secretly hoping he wouldn't laugh about her inexperienced attempts to play the seductress. "Were you looking for somebody, perchance?"

He didn't laugh, to her relief, nor did he even smile. Instead, he simply stared at her; and she shuddered with delight when those pale grey eyes lingered on her face with an expression that could only be described as raw hunger. Then his gaze wandered deeper, to her sparsely covered body.

"Indeed I did," he said, putting down the large paper bag and takeaway coffee he had been holding on a small marble table. "I was looking for the woman whom I had the honor of loving for the first time last night," - this made her blush against her will -,"to ask her if she'd like to spend the day with me, and maybe another night."

This left her speechless, and she simply looked at him. She had half expected him to send her away, now that they had made love. A slow pain spread in her chest, caused by the knowledge that she was betraying him. But at the same time, she yearned to be in his arms again, to feel him, to take him deep into her body.

It seemed as if he knew her thoughts, for he crossed the distance to where she stood with a few steps and placed both hands against the wall, beside her head. He looked like a predator, his eyes glowing with primal, male desire. He bent his head, just brushing her lips with his. Jade closed her eyes in surrender, moaning when he wordlessly grabbed her around the waist and kissed her like a madman. He pushed her further against the wall until her breasts were crushed against his chest.

His tall body seemed to be all around her, his hands exploring her body and shoving her tight dress down while he devoured her with his mouth, ravishing her. His tongue touched hers when she opened her mouth for him, playing with her skillfully. But it felt as if it was more than pure lust. He kissed her like he cherished her, worshipped her like a goddess.
