“Do you have a last name Gavin?” Edward Abrahams asked as Gavin passed
him, his ho
stility barely concealed.

Gavin stopped at the kitchen door and turned to face the older man,
“Jensen, my name is Gavin Jensen
.

Edward smiled “Jensen? Of the Mayfair Jensen’s?” his mood changing
instantly at Gavin’s surname.

“Yes
.
” came the
reply.

“You mu
st be Michael’s Grandson then?”

“That’s right, you know him?” Gavin asked.

“Yes, I have had the pleasure of doing business with him, Tessa and
Matthew on several occasions, unfortunately, I have also had the misfortune of
being taken over by that parasite
Paul. You must be
Tessa’s boy
.
?”

Gavin smiled and leaned back against the door pushing his hands into his
pockets, he shook his head “No. I’m Paul’s son, you know, the parasite.”

“I see the resemblance now
,
” Edward frowned
.
“I thought you lived with your m
other?”

“I did, now I don’t and just so you know, I am very much like my Dad. It
was very interesting meeting you Mr Abrahams, I’ll mention you to my
Grandfather tonight when I see him
.
” Gavin turned
out of the kitchen and headed for his car.

“I’m really s
orry about that
,
” Kiera puffed as she caught up with
him.

“It’s ok, interesting how he suddenly approved of me when he heard my
last name
.” H
e unlocked his car.

“Well, he heard Jensen and saw pound signs
,
” she shrugged
.
“Apart from him, I had a really nice
time, we still ok for Friday night or has my Dad put y
ou off?” S
he touched his arm.

“Of course we’re still on for Friday, you don’t seriously think something
like
that would bother me do you?” H
e wrapped his arms around her
.
“I have a
feeling winding your Dad up is going to be most amusing
,
” he bent to whisper the last part into
her ear, finishing with
, “h
e’s watching
,
so I guess you
had better have one last round of tonsil tennis with me before I leave.”

Kiera sighed
.
“Oh ok
, if you insist
,

she said
and turned her face up to him, she gasped as his hand slid down to her
bottom and sharply pulled her against him all the while caressing her tongue
with his own. Gavin pulled away from her when his phone rang, still with an arm
a
round her shoulder and leaning back against his car,
he answered the call.

“Hi Dad
.

“We’re leaving in 20 minutes, how long will you be?” Paul asked.

“I’m just getting into the car, I’ll be there in 10
.
” Gavin replied.

“Good, by the way, I fully intend on
getting
hammered, so you are driving
.

“Not a problem, what car are we taking?”

“I thought I’d let you try out the Jag
.
” Paul grinned picturing the smile
spreading across his son’s face.

“Sweet, see you in a bit
.” H
e hung up and turned to Kiera
,
“Dad’s act
ually going to let me drive his Jaguar – awesome, gotta go,
shall I pick you up in the morning or would you rather go with Quinn?”

“Pick me up
,
” she hugged him
then watched as he drove away, waiting until he was out of sight before she
turned back into the
house.

“You shouldn’t let him maul you like that
.
” Edward growled at her.

“He wasn’t mauling me, he was saying goodbye
,
” she replied tartly
.
“Hadn’t you better get ready for your
night out, you know how Mum hates to be kept waiting
.

Chapter 4

It only t
ook until the end of the first week at
college for Gavin to be surrounded by people, his easy going nature and natural
cheekiness had made him an instant hit,
and even
some of Quinn’s friends had defected
from the Sloane crowd to join Gavin and his new friends.

Friday evening approached, Gavin had arranged to collect Kiera from her
evening waitressing job at a nearby Bistro where she worked with Angel. He
noticed Quinn’
s Range Rover parked in the far corner
of the car park, deciding to take advantage of the fact that Quinn was overly
nice to him in Angel’s presence, Gavin pulled his Supra alo
ngside the Range Rover, got out and
rested the back
of his legs against the offs
ide front wing then lit a
cigarette. Quinn got out of his own car and took the cigarette Gavin offered
him.

“Coach would kill us if he caught us smoking
.
” Quinn commented.

“He would
,
” Gavin agreed
.
“He’d probably go nuts if he discovered
his star players d
idn’t abstain the night before a
game too
.

Quinn quickly looked to the ground, shuffling his feet and refusing to
meet Gavin’s eye when he murmured his vague agreement.

“You tw
o have…?”
Gavin
drifted off mid-sentence as the penny
dropped that Quinn had no
t yet sealed the deal with
Angel.
“Dude, what is wrong with you?”
Gavin laughed heartily, making it known to Quinn that he now considered
Angel fair game.

“Shut up!” Quinn hissed.
“Let’s be clear
here,
you’ve made it
obvious
that you like my girlfriend, yo
u should know
,
she would
never go with someone like you.
S
he prefers a
gentleman
.

“Oh, I can be gentle....man
.
” Gavin quipped
.
“Perhaps she just doesn’t trust you
.

“She trusts me, she just wants to take it slow
.
” Quinn denied.

“Uhuh, how long have you t
wo been together?”

“Six months
.

“Shit, that is slow. Kudos to you Quinn, you must have the patience of a
saint
.
” Gavin conceded.

Before Quinn could reply both gi
rls came out of
the Bistro,
 looking stunning.

“Where are we meeting the others?” Gavin asked
while
opening the passenger door of the car for Kiera

“By Richmond Gate, do you know it?” Quinn replied.

“No, I’ll follow you
.

“Well, try to keep up then
.
” Quinn smirked.

“You’re really funny Quinn
.
” Gavin replied
sliding into his own car.

In total six
cars and sixteen teenagers turned
up at the late showing Friday night film, the boys standing in line for tickets
while the girls sorted out drinks and snacks. They took up almost two whole
rows of seats, Gavin and Kiera in the far left seats by the wall i
n the second row from the back, Quinn and Angel in the
middle of the back row.

Fifteen minutes into the film, Angel caught a movement in her peripheral
vision and glanced over at Kiera who had leaned over to Gavin and was
whispering in his ear, she could s
ee Gavin in profile
and watched the smile on his lips spread and he nodded slightly, she gawped as
she observed her friend slip off her seat and onto her knees as Gavin shifted
slightly in his seat.

Angel rested her head on Quinn’s shoulder so it didn’t lo
ok so obvious that she wasn’t watching the film with her
full attention. Wit
hin
minutes she saw
Gavin’s lips part and he took a deep breath. Kiera appeared and Gavin drew her
into a kiss.

“Unbelievable
.
” Angel thought.

“I need to nip to the loo
,
” Kiera tol
d Gavin as they came out of the cinema. Waiting in the
lobby for Kiera, he smiled at Angel as she approached him
.

“You’
re disgusting
,

was
her opening comment.

“You might want to fill me in, I have no idea what you are talking about
,
” he frowned.

“Making
Kiera go down on you in the cinema, I
can’t be the only one who saw you
.

“I didn’t make her do anything
,
” he replied
.
“She asked me
if I had the guts to let her give me a public blow job, obviously I did
.

“You couldn’t have waited until you got home?” An
gel asked.

“Probably, you’
re missing the point that it wasn’t my
idea
,
so perhaps you should be having this
conversation with Kiera instead of having a go at me
.
” he grouched.

“I’m having a go at you because you could have said no
,
” she hissed, even more a
nnoyed when Gavin laughed.

“No man in his right mind would turn down a blow job
,
” he told her
.
“Besides, if you had been watching the
film instead of watching me, you wouldn’t have seen anything
,
” he turned it around on her, watching
her blush.

“You’re a r
eal arse sometimes
,
” she told him.

“Just one of my many talents
,
” he quipped,
then grasped her arm as she turned away
.
“Angel, I’m sorry if it offended you
.

“It didn’t, I just haven’t seen Kiera behave this way before and I’ve
known her forever, I know yo
u told her up front that
you didn’t want anything serious but I think she’s getting more involved than
you realise. I don’t want to see her get hurt
,
” she shrugged
.
“I take it out on you because you are
the reason for her behaviour and you don’t seem to be
doing anything to stop it
.

“I’ll rein it in a bit and have a chat with her. I won’t hurt her Angel,
not intentionally; I do know how that feels
.

“Wow, you have feelings
.” S
he smiled
.
“You surprise
me more and more each time we talk
.

Kiera bounced up be
side them
.
“Are you ready to go?” She asked Gavin,
slipping her hand into his.

“Yeah, see you Monday Angel
,
” he let go of
Kiera’s hand as she hugged Angel.

“Think about what I said
,
” she told Gavin
while hugging her friend, he nodded.

The weekend meant wor
k for Gavin. He enjoyed
his job as life guard, he loved to swim and it also afforded him plenty of
opportunity to flirt with girls his own age that he didn’t go to school with.

Sunday afternoon, Gavin was just about to finish his shift and was
waiting for
his replacement
,
when a little girl began to make a fuss
by the side of the learner pool. The swimming instructor and other pupils were
already in the pool, their mothers’ craning over the railing of the seating
area to see what the noise was about.

Angel
had just stepped out of the gym, a towel
around the back of her neck, wiping her face with the corner of it, she looked
up as Gavin climbed down from his high level seat, had a brief chat with his
fellow life guard and begin a slow saunter around the pool
to the staff changing rooms when the little girl wailed
again. Gavin turned away from the changing rooms and went to crouch in front of
the child and her somewhat embarrassed parent. Angel moved around the seats and
watched her friend, grinning as the grou
p of yummy
mummies all craned to get a close look at the handsome young life guard; she
was close enough to hear him and also to hear the comments from the watching
mothers.

“What’s wrong sweetie? He asked the little girl who promptly buried her
face in
her mother’s chest.

“She’s afraid of the water but she really should learn to swim, we are
going on holiday and I can’t leave her in the day club if she can’t swim
.

“Ok, how about if I get in the pool with you?” he addressed the child
again
.
“It’s my job
to
look after people in the water, I won’t let anything happen to you
.

The little girl turned to look at him, still sniffing and clearly scared
.

“I used to be afraid of going in the water
,
” he told her gently
.
“But I’m ok now that I can swim
,
” he smiled
,
“I’ll look after you
.

The little girl nodded and whispered “Ok
.

“Cool, just stay here for a sec, I’ll go and get my swim shorts on then
we can give this swimming thing a go
,
” he left only to return a few moments later wearing just a pair of black
knee l
ength swimming shorts
.
H
e stepped into the shower before coming back to the girl and crouching
again.

“What’s your name?” he asked.

“Liana
.
” came the timid
reply.

“That’s a pretty name, I’m Gavin, hold my hand Liana
.

“You won’t let go?” Liana asked as she
slid her
small hand into his and let go of her mother.

“I promise
,
” he told her
coming to his feet, he addressed the girls’ mother
.
“If you stay here and keep her towel
handy it will give her a little more confidence
,”
he turned toward the pool, stepped i
n and went down on his knees, he reached up to Liana and
lifted her into the pool where he stayed for the next thirty minutes.
