She was about to kiss him when the dryer beeped, signaling that his clothes were done. Alex gave a loud sigh, but he didn’t move right away.

“Guess it’s time for me to get going, huh?” He sounded as though it was the last thing he wanted to do in the world, and Valerie made a split-second decision. As he began to move off her she wrapped her arms around him.

“What are you doing?”

“I’ve decided I don’t want you to go anywhere,” she said, pressing kisses against his jawline. “I want you… I want you to stay the night.”

“Are you sure?”

In answer, she kissed him long and deep, and he decided he really couldn’t argue with that at all.
