Chapter Twenty-Six

None of us waste any time carefully undressing each other. As soon as we’re in the bedroom, the clothes are off, and it’s on.

And what a fucking relief, just being naked in our bed with both Ian and Michael. I can’t stop touching either of them. Even when I’m kissing one, my hands are all over the other, and there’s hands all over me too. How did any of us think for a second that this wasn’t the perfect arrangement? The way things belong?

Better late than never, I suppose.

“It hasn’t been that long,” Ian breathes in between kissing Michael’s neck. “But God, I’ve missed you.”

“I’ve missed you both.” Michael slides his hand into Ian’s hair and pulls his head back. “Come here, you.” He kisses Ian, and holy shit. Any worries I have left about this being a compromise, about either of them taking one for the team just for the sake of peace, evaporate in the heat of that kiss.

And then Michael drops to his knees, steadies Ian’s cock in both hands and closes his lips around the head. Effortlessly, without reservation, he sucks Ian’s cock.

My jaw drops. My God. He really can handle this. The demons are still there, I have no doubt, but he’s made it over this wall, and not just with me.

Ian glances at me, and he grins. He reaches for me, and when I step closer, he draws me in for a kiss. Before our lips meet, though, he pauses, and he smiles.

We
are
okay, aren’t we? All three of us.

Then he starts to lean back in but stops again, closing his eyes and exhaling hard. “Whoa.”

I glance down and have to do a double take. Michael, who had to fight hard to even think about oral sex at all, is eagerly deep-throating Ian. His eyes flick up to meet mine, and he stops what he’s doing just long enough to flash me a grin. Then he slowly swallows my husband’s cock as if he never had a reason not to. And before I can even process that mouthwatering sight, he turns and does the same to me—lips tight around my cock, slowly taking it until I’m sure I’m pushing his gag reflex.

“Oh my God, Michael. You’re—”

Ian grabs the back of my neck and drags me into a kiss that’s as breathless and passionate as the one he shared with Michael a moment ago. I hold on to him because I’m lucky I’m still standing now.

At our feet, stroking us each with one hand, Michael alternates between sucking my cock and Ian’s. He teases Ian right to the edge, getting his breath to catch and making his knees shake, and then he switches to me and works nothing short of magic with his lips and tongue, swirling and fluttering and licking until I’m cursing into Ian’s kiss. Jesus Christ—sex just does
not
get any better than this.

Michael releases me, and I break the kiss and look down as he sits back on his heels. “We should really take this to your bed. Before your carpet chews up my knees.”

Ian laughs and offers Michael his arm. “That the only reason you want to get in bed?”

“Of course it is.” Michael clasps his hand around Ian’s forearm and gets up, wincing slightly as he straightens the knee he injured years ago. “But it’s as good an excuse as any, right?”

“You’re damn right it is.” Ian drags Michael into a kiss. Michael gasps, but he’s gripping Ian’s shoulders and kissing him back
.
They stumble toward the bed while I watch, getting more and more turned on with every breath they steal from each other.

When they reach the bed, Ian shoves Michael back and pins him to the mattress, and panic shoots through me for a split second before I realize Michael’s still returning Ian’s kiss with as much—if not more—fervor. He’s unafraid, and he’s unrelenting, and when he wrestles one arm free, he throws it around Ian’s neck and drags him down to him. He hooks his leg around Ian’s, and Ian groans and shivers as Michael pulls their bodies closer together.

My mouth waters as I watch them. Ian’s this rough with me all the time, and he must’ve gotten caught up in the moment and thought Michael wanted the same, and apparently he’s right.

As I lie down beside them, they finally come up for air.

“You guys are…” Michael gasps for breath. “Jesus fuck.”

“Tell us what you want,” I whisper.

He shakes his head. “No. It’s…” He pauses, taking a few more breaths. “It’s been about me since day one. And none of us would…” More breaths. “None of us would be here if it hadn’t been for you.” He licks his lips. “Tell me what
you
want.”

Ian meets my gaze, eyebrows up.
Well?

“I want to fuck you, Michael.” Enunciate. I can do this. “While you suck Ian off.”

Beside me, Ian shivers. “Yes, please.”

Michael’s grin almost melts my bones. “Hell yeah.”

Without hesitation, we change positions. Ian reclines against the pillows, and Michael gets on his hands and knees while I turn away to get some lube. I’ve barely started putting it on when a throaty groan from Ian turns my head. Good God. There’s the Michael I knew before—sucking cock, moaning with pleasure.

I can barely think about anything except watching the two of them. Even lubing up my own dick is too complicated when Michael’s going to town on Ian and Ian’s trying to watch him but has to keep blinking as if his eyes are already watering.

“Fuck ’im,” Ian moans. “I want…I want to see that before…” His eyelids slide closed. “Fuck.”

I can sure as hell move now. Lubed and ready, I kneel behind Michael and put some lube on him. Then I press against him. In the back of my mind, I’m irrationally sure this will be the moment when Michael panics, that he’s going to suddenly tense up and return to that bad place.

But he doesn’t. Moaning around Ian’s cock, Michael pushes back, and I can barely breathe as my dick sinks into him.

The view is spectacular—my cock sliding in and out of Michael. His gorgeous, lean torso. His head bobbing up and down above Ian. Ian lying back and going out of his fucking mind. Everything about this is perfect. And hot. So ridiculously hot.

“Oh my God…” Ian arches, squeezing his eyes shut. “That’s so good. Holy shit.”

Michael groans. He rocks back and forth, riding my dick faster, and Ian curses under his breath. He’s gripping Michael’s hair, staring down at him, his lips apart and his forehead creased, and I fuck Michael a little harder so he’ll give Ian even more.

“I’m gonna come,” Ian slurs. “I’m gonna…I’m gonna…”

Much more of this, and I will too. I grit my teeth and hold Michael’s hips tighter, fucking him for all I’m worth while he drives Ian insane.

“Oh…shit…” Ian’s head falls back. “So fucking good.” He gasps. His eyes fly open, and Michael tenses around me as he bobs his head even faster.

I struggle to keep my eyes focused, but my own orgasm is closing in fast, so I grit my teeth as I pound Michael’s ass for all I’m worth. He groans, and he shudders, and apparently that’s more than Ian can take—he squeezes his eyes shut again, curses and trembles as his back arches. I don’t know how he doesn’t take me over the edge with him—God, I love the sight of Ian falling to pieces—but somehow, I keep going, and I keep fucking Michael.

Ian takes a few seconds to catch his breath. Not long, though—he’s barely wiped the sweat from his brow before he shifts around, grabs the back of Michael’s neck and kisses him. He reaches beneath Michael, and I don’t have to see to know he’s stroking Michael’s cock. The way Michael clenches around me tells me everything I need to know. And besides,
fuck, fuck
—watching those two make out is hot enough. Knowing Michael has Ian’s semen on his tongue? Knowing how Ian kisses right after he’s had an orgasm?

That’s it. I can’t take another second.

With a roar, I slam into Michael, and I come so hard, I very nearly black for real out this time. And just as I’m coming down, Michael cries out, and he gets almost painfully tight as I take a few last thrusts before my body can’t handle anymore.

I stop. Michael stops. Ian’s arm stops moving. They’re not kissing anymore—Michael presses his forehead to Ian’s shoulder, and Ian holds him, stroking his hair. Our eyes meet. We both grin, and when Ian presses a soft kiss to Michael’s damp red hair, my skin prickles with goose bumps.

I pull out carefully. None of us are all that steady on our feet, which is to be expected, but we manage as always. When we finally settle into bed, Ian and I are both on our sides, facing Michael, who’s between us.

Michael exhales. “You guys are seriously unreal.”

Ian grins. “You’re not so bad yourself, you know.”

Michael sweeps his tongue across his lips and looks at us. “I don’t just mean in bed. I mean…” He reaches across me and takes Ian’s hand. “Letting me in like this.”

I put my hand on top of theirs on my stomach. “This isn’t something we’d do with just anyone. It took someone pretty amazing to make life better with three people instead of two.”

Ian nods. “That’s not to say the end justifies the means. What happened to you never should have happened. But—”

“But this is one hell of a silver lining,” Michael says. “If that’s how things were going to work out, then I’m just glad they eventually brought me here.”

Right then, Rosie leaps onto the bed, stomps over Ian and me and flops down on top of Michael.

“Seriously, cat?” Ian rolls his eyes. “We feed you, we house you, but
no
, you want
him
.”

Michael laughs, tousling Rosie’s fur, which would have gotten me or even Ian a claws-out swat. “I see how it is. You guys just want me here because I’m the only one your cat doesn’t hate.”

Ian bursts out laughing. “Oh come on. She doesn’t
hate
us.” He reaches across me, and she bats at him but misses. “Okay, okay. Maybe she does.”

I start to speak, but Ariel jumps up behind Ian. “Shit! Watch that tail!”

He ducks and just misses a smack in the face. “Ariel, down.” He points at the floor, but Ariel just flops down next to him and rests her head on his arm. Ian groans. “Seriously?”

I snicker. “I think we might need a bigger bed.”

Michael laughs, but it doesn’t last. He gently lifts Rosie and sets her on the edge of the bed. Then he turns on his side and looks at Ian. “For the record, you are not, and never have been, a third wheel. You and I aren’t as close as we both are to Josh, but it doesn’t have to stay that way.” He clasps Ian’s hand in his, and kisses the backs of his fingers. “It’ll take time, but I think we’ll get there.”

Ian’s smile is slow to form, but his eyes definitely echo it. “You’re probably right. I guess, like everything, it’ll be a process.”

Michael nods. “Yeah, and I’m a bit more optimistic about the process than I was about the sexual exorcism one.” He pauses, the smile turning to a playful smirk. “Well, okay, that process was fun
most
of the time too. But you know what I mean.”

“Yeah, I do.” Ian leans over me to kiss Michael’s lips. “And I agree.”

Michael turns to me and touches my face. “You were right, you know.”

“About what?”

“You said karma owed me big-time. That there was a good guy out there waiting for me.” His smile gets bigger, and I swear his eyes tear up as he says, “Turns out there were two right in front of my face.”

And suddenly my vision is getting blurry for some reason. I wipe my eyes. “Well, let’s hope we can live up to the karma you definitely deserve.”

Michael sniffs and wipes his eyes too. “I’m not worried about that at all.”

“Neither am I.” Ian kisses Michael’s cheek, then mine. “We’ve got all the time in the world to get it right.”

“You don’t need it,” Michael says. “You’ve already got it. But I’ll definitely take all the time I can get with the two of you.”

“Likewise,” I say.

Ian nods. “Ditto.”

It’s a little crowded in our bed with the three of us, the cat and Ariel, and I imagine it won’t be any better when Cody is added to the mix, but that’s okay. There’s nothing about this moment I would change, because I have the two men I love more than anyone else in the world. Ian’s still here. Michael’s part of our family.

And everything is perfect.

Even if the cat still hates me.

The Distance Between Us
, Book 5

Still finding his footing after a long-overdue divorce, Marcus is looking forward to some mind-numbing drinking while ogling the grooms at Chris and Julien’s wedding. He never expected his attention to be diverted by the gorgeous best man.

One of Julien’s French Foreign Legion buddies, Timur doesn’t speak much English, but language is no barrier to Marcus understanding exactly what the huge Tartar wants—a one-night stand.

Except that one night turns into two, three, then more, which puts Marcus on edge. After Timur is done house-sitting for the honeymooning couple, he’s headed back to the Legion for another five years. Like it or not, once Timur gets on that plane, the fling is over.

Unfortunately, Marcus forgot to tell his heart not to fall in love. And this time, if history repeats and he makes another wrong decision, he may never see his tattooed Legionnaire lover again.

Warning: Contains a soldier who makes up for his lack of English by using his hands to read his lover’s body; a chef-turned-bartender who no longer believes in love; a length of paracord that probably wasn’t meant to be used this way; and a couple of newlyweds who are game for some four-way play.
