I love all the rolling hills of Vermont. New Hampshire has hills, but they’re covered with trees. Vermont is all open fields with black-and-white cows ambling through them toward big red barns.
Makes me think of ice cream and cheese.

Main Street hasn’t changed a whole lot over the years. The post office, a bookstore, and Lou’s. Best crullers ever, and if you’re feeling really indulgent, Lou’s makes cruller French toast.

You thought I made this up … okay, I did make some of it up … but there really is a Sphinx at Dartmouth. Nestled in the trees, among brick and stone buildings dating back to 1769, is this bizarre little tomb. The Sphinx is the oldest continuously operating all-male secret society in the country. The Flat Hat Club at the College of William and Mary, and Sigma at Washington and Lee, are the only two secret societies in the country that are older. But neither of them has run continuously.
