Her body stops shuttering, and I pull my hand away.

“Thank you,” she murmurs through her sex-drugged state.

“No problem darlin,” I say before retreating back inside.

I’m still buttoning my pants when I literally run into Storm. FUCK!

“Did she satisfy you ZZ?” she spits.

Dammit!

“No,” I answer honestly.

“Glad,” she smirks, before walking away from me, yet again.

Glad? Damn bitch has such a beautiful mouth, and it spouts such witty shit. Love it.

Chapter Seven

Storm

Last night I ran right smack into Mason after he was done fuckin one of our dancers out back in the parking lot. Yeah, fun times!

I could be a big ass bitch and brag to him that I’m going on another date with Randy, but I don’t because I truly want to be his friend even if it kills me.

I’m rounding up the drinks for the contractor meeting when Piper walks up beside me.

“You excited that all our stuff is moved into the new house?” She asks, excitedly.

The new house I almost forgot about. It’s not actually new. It’s just a different house that doesn’t have shit memories of our friends being murdered in it.

“I guess,” I murmur filling the last beer mug.

“You excited about your date tonight?”

What’s with the twenty questions? Is she high on something? I look over and shake my head at her pupils being the size of pinholes.

“You took a happy pill,” I laugh at her.

“Something like that. I know I can’t stop talking,” she giggles. “It’s my night off, and I practically live here anyways. Thought I would come see what was going on. Tired of being followed by a brother when I go somewhere.”

I understand that. With the damn Gunners after Tatiana, everyone is on edge. But Tatiana keeps evading every single club member. I actually need to talk to her about that somehow. I wanna know the secret. I also wanna know what the hell she’s up too.

“Need some help?” she asks grabbing one of the trays.

“Yeah, thanks.”

“Anytime sis,” she smiles walking towards the tables lined with contractors, club members, and Winter.

“Good glad you both are here. Sit for just a second,” Winter gestures us.

I nod.

“What is a must have in the rooms you’ll get stuck in during Lockdown?” she leans in and whispers.

Good question.

“A few things,” Piper starts rattling off, and I happen to agree with all of them. “A window, a closet, and a bathroom with a tub, not just a shower, and a small kitchen area would be nice too, but beggars can’t be choosy.”

“Excellent… thanks sis,” Winter mumbles scribbling down what Piper just said.

“Damn needy women,” Braxxon growls playfully, causing Winter’s head to snap up from her paper.

“What was that? I don’t think I heard you. Needy? You stick women in a filth hole for sometimes months at a time and wonder why the fuck they’re so bitchy?”

“Point taken; go on,” he gestures to her paper.

“That’s what I thought,” she teases.

“Yes, happy women mean lots of sex,” Piper pipes up and Braxxon grabs her by the cheeks, staring into her eyes before laughing and shaking his head.

“I knew she was extra chatty for a reason,” he laughs some more.

“Bite me,” she smirks back before standing and walking away.

“Well, I gotta get back to work so… is that all you needed Winter?” I ask while I stand.

“Yeah, thank you,” she mumbles.

She never looks up. She’s bound and determined to get this all done as quickly as possible.

“Storm, can I talk with you for just a minute?” ZZ asks.

“Of course.”

I follow him over to a secluded area. He’s got his damn shades on again. I hate when he wears them. I can’t read his eyes, only his facial expressions.

“I was wonderin if you could reach out to Tatiana and try to get her talkin. She calls to let me know she’s alright and shit, but I’m still fuckin outta my mind with worry.”

I lean up against the wall and tuck my hands into my pockets, letting out a breath that moves my bangs outta my eyes.

“She’s still evading the members?” I ask.

“Yep. We could find her easily, but if I do get a hold of her, I’m gonna lock her ass up in a room and drive us both crazy mad. I’m tryin to give her space. This shit is hard when you’re only thirteen years older than your damn kid.” ZZ sighs running his hand through his hair frustrated.

“I’m sorry,” I say honestly.

“Not your fault darlin she’s just a pain in the ass. Look… I just need you to try and get her to hang out here freely. Somewhere we can see her and not make her feel as if we’re takin away her damn freedom again. She’s already staying home for school and enrolled into that business program you’re in. I’m not tryin to make her rebel even more.”

You can tell ZZ’s gas tank is running on low, and his warning fuel light is about to come on. He looks dangerously close to losing his shit.

“I’ll try, but I can’t promise anything. I’ll talk to Winter and see if we can get Tatiana more involved in the wedding plans. Most women love doing that shit.”

Mason studies me for a moment before commenting.

“You don’t look like you love wedding shit.”

I smile. “Looks can be deceiving asshole.”

“Such a pretty mouth to be callin me an asshole with, darlin,” he chuckles moving closer to me.

Oh no, he doesn’t!

I scoot along the wall as far as I can get away from him.

“Says the beautiful man that spouts off such nasty shit,” I taunt back.

His nose crinkles a little before his mouth forms into a big smile.

“But darlin this beautiful man who spouts off such nasty shit can back up those nasty vile words that come outta his mouth.”

His nearness is catching my body on fire, and when he reaches up to swipe my bangs to the side and outta my eyes, I shiver.

“So you admit that you’re indeed a beautiful man,” I croak.

ZZ leans into me. “If you think I’m beautiful darlin, you should see my cock. It isn’t so beautiful baby; it’s lined with a Jacobs Ladder, and when I’m rammin into a woman, do you think she’s thinkin’ about me being beautiful?”

Oh dear lord!

I close my eyes and breathe him in. Why does he do this to me?

“Answer me Storm. Do you think when my cock is filling a woman that she’s thinkin about me being a beautiful man?”

“No,” I squeak before composing myself and reopening my eyes.

“But I’m not every woman, Mason. I’m me and this me that I am… thinks every single part of you inside and out is beautiful.”

His breath picks up, and he backs away from me. “Talk with Winter about T helping with the wedding shit,” he rasps out before fleeing away.

Oh my!

Chapter Eight

It’s a Breakneck Chapter.

ZZ

Construction on the club compound has started, and every motherfucker is grumpy. It’s loud and fuckin obnoxious. Between Tatiana’s bullshit and my attraction to Storm worsening, I’m in no mood to hear whining. And there’s been no news on what the fuck Travis wants with my daughter. I’m walking along some of the construction when a nail goes through my boot.

“SON OF A FUCKIN BITCH!”

I hop over to one of the chairs and flop down. The nail is sticking into the bottom of my boot. Just stuck there. I know it’s the rubber of my sole keeping it in place, but fuck if I ain’t pissed.

“Mason… what’s wrong?”

I look up to see Storm with a worried expression and my anger slightly fades away.

“I stepped on a fuckin nail,” I groan.

She smirks before looking on the floor in front of me and kneeling.

“Give it.” She gestures to my foot.

Storm gives me no warning before yanking the nail out with her tiny hands, and it takes everything I have not to kick her in the damn face from the pain she just caused me. I hold in that pissed off move as she removes my boot and sock.

“It’s barely a flesh wound you big ass baby,” she laughs.

“You go step on a fuckin nail,” I grumble and yank my foot away.

She sighs. “I’m sorry.”

“Whatever,” I respond, putting my sock and boot back on.

“Tatiana is gonna help with the wedding planning. You didn’t respond to my text, so I didn’t know if you got it or not.”

I did get it, and yes, I’m an asshole who didn’t respond.

“Musta not heard my phone,” I lie, re-lacing my boot.

“Yeah, must not have,” she murmurs standing. “I’ll see ya ZZ.”

Why does she have this ability? The ability to make my jackassery known?

Pyro flops down in the chair beside me with a fifth in his hand.

“You’re a fuckin dumbass,” he says simply before tilting the bottle to his lips.

“Yeah, why’s that?”

“Because she wants you and you want her. That fuckin simple brother. One day, all the decisions you’ve ever made about staying away from her are gonna eat your insides all fuckin up. One day you’re gonna regret it and one day you’re gonna be pissed you didn’t take advantage of that time.”

What the hell am I supposed to say to that? One wrong word and I can offend him and Lana, and I don’t wanna fuckin do that.

“Maybe.”

And I leave it at that.

“It ain’t no maybe, brother. You will. Mark my fuckin words, you will,” he murmurs standing back up and walking away.

What. The. Fuck.

Winter

I’m talkin with one of the foremen on the construction crew when I hear Pyro’s words and voice gut through me like that blade did months back.

I release the foreman to go back to work, and I chase after Pyro.

“Pyro,” I call as I run and he doesn’t stop, even though I know he hears me. I reach him and yank on his cut. “Don’t fuckin walk away from me when I’m callin for you.”

His body stops moving, and his voice comes out heated and angry. A few months ago, that type of angered voice might have scared me, but not now. “If you weren’t my president’s girl so help me, Winter.”

“Yeah, yeah you woulda smacked me or some shit. Whatever… are you doin okay?”

His body swings around so fast it almost gives me whiplash.

“Am I fuckin okay? You must be fuckin jokin. I swear I know you’re not that fuckin stupid Winter. When I can stop seeing Lana with blood all over her fuckin body, gasping her last fuckin breaths… maybe then will I be okay.”

I gulp. “I miss her too.”

“You had her longer than I did,” he replies.

How does that make a difference?

“That doesn’t matter Pyro. We both loved her.”

“Yeah? Well I didn’t get to love her long enough. A hundred motherfuckin years wouldn’t have been long enough!”

I gasp when I see Braxxon approaching us, looking like a ball of fire ready to burn a victim.

Braxxon

My vice president’s voice grows loud. I stop talking numbers with Max.

“What the fuck?”

My feet carry me quickly as I spot Pyro and Angel in a heated discussion. He fuckin knows better than to talk to my Angel like that!

What the fuck is his fuckin problem?

“Braxx… baby, it’s okay. We were talkin about Lana,” Angel says grabbing me by my shoulders as I square off with Pyro.

“Let me tell you what’s not okay, baby. What’s not okay is my fuckin vice president who is my fuckin best friend to be talkin to my woman like that! It’s not fuckin okay.”

Pyro looks at me. “Let me tell you what’s not okay, brother,” Pyro growls. “What’s not okay is your woman askin me if I’m okay. That shits not okay! My fuckin business is my goddamn own! Not your fuckin girlfriend’s.”

What the hell is going on here? I pull Angel closer to me and look into her gold eyes.

“What happened?” I say quietly, my anger subsiding.

“I just asked if he was okay. I heard him talking with ZZ about Storm and something he said worried me. I swear, I only asked if he was okay.”

“My business is my own goddamned business, Braxxon. She has no right fuckin asking me personal shit. Get your fuckin woman under control!”

Angel and I have been working on this breathing technique shit. You know, to try and rein in our anger issues. So… I do just that. I breathe in a few fuckin times before replying.

“I see. So I’m sure Lana would love the way you’re talkin to her best friend like this?”

Low blow? Maybe. Do I give a flyin fuck? No.

“Braxxon,” Winter gasps out.

“It’s the fuckin truth Angel. Lana would not approve of him talkin to you like that and I sure as fuck don’t approve of my brother talkin to you like that.”
