CHAPTER TWO

Lynette pushed open the bedroom door
and Brad sauntered in behind her. She led him to the bed and had him sit down
on it so she could stare him down. “How are you feeling?” she asked. “Are you
okay?”

“Yes, my
Lady,” Brad answered.

“And you’re
sure you didn’t recognize the girl earlier?”

Brad stared
back aimlessly.

“Okay,”
Lynette said. “Well, should you remember her in any case, also remember that
she belongs to Gaspar now and you are forbidden to speak with her alone.”

Lynette went
to the drawer beside the bed and pulled out the bottle of purplish liquid.
Brad’s eyes followed her.

“If you have
trouble sleeping, you can drink what’s left in this and you’ll be out till
morning.”

“Where are
you going?” Brad asked.

Lynette
grunted. “I have other matters to attend to. Your place now is to do my bidding
when I require it of you. You are to go to bed now and drink from the bottle if
you wish to. There will be tasks for you to perform tomorrow and you need your
rest.”

She moved
towards the doorway.

Brad shifted
along the side of the bed towards the table. He looked back at her and saw that
she was watching him.

“I’m sorry it
had to be this way, Thunder,” she whispered.

Then she
exited the room and closed the door behind her.

“I’m sorry
too,” Brad whispered back.

He then stood
up from the bed.

CHAPTER
THREE

The street was dead. Quiet. Empty.
Dennis reached down to the bag by his feet to produce a can from his purchase
at the liquor store earlier. He cracked the ring and took a sip.

His companion
was gazing out his window on the right side of the car. “Is that her place?”

Dennis
nodded.

Spike glanced
back.

“Yes,” Dennis
said. “That’s her place.”

“Well, what
are you doing with that? Are we getting out?”

“You’re going
to stay here,” Dennis replied. “This is on me.”

Spike stared
at him. “That’s not going to help you.”

Dennis stared
back. “Here. You finish it.”

He handed
Spike the can and stepped out of the car before he had a chance to protest.

Even the
sound of the car door being shut gently was enough that it could probably be
heard for miles. There was such stillness in the air. It was after one thirty
in the morning, and the entire street was fast asleep. Dennis walked across the
road towards the great white house in front of him, nervous as hell.

The house had
gates blocking off the driveway. There was no way to get around them unless he
climbed over the fence at the side. Dennis hoped he wouldn’t have to. He pulled
out his cell phone and called Dara.

One ring…

Two rings…

Dennis was
sure she wouldn’t leave her phone on silent, even with the day she’d had. The
girl lived for it. The only question was whether she would answer knowing
Dennis was the caller…

“Hello?”

Dennis
inhaled sharply. He hadn’t thought about what he had to say.

“Dennis?”

“Hi,” Dennis
began. “Don’t hang up. I’m outside.”

“Outside?”

“Your house.”

“You’re still
here?” Dara exclaimed. “You took off hours ago.”

“I’m back. I
–”

“You need to
go. I’m not coming out. I’m in bed.”

“Just hear me
out. Something’s happened. My … sister. She’s been kidnapped again.”

“How did that
happen?”

“I’m not
sure. The panthers, they –”

“I don’t want
to know about it, Dennis,” Dara said. “I’m sorry. I can’t help you. You should
just go to the cops.”

“Please come
outside,” Dennis said.

“No.”

“Do you want
me to wake up your parents? Do you want me to –”

“Fuck you.”

Dara hung up.

Dennis looked
back to the car a moment. Spike wound down his window and called out.

“Is she
coming?”

“I don’t
know,” Dennis called back. He turned to the house again. Did Dara not believe
him? Was she going to make him cause as much trouble as possible?

“Five
minutes,” he whispered. “Five minutes or I’m coming in there after you.”

CHAPTER FOUR

Jasmine fell into the bed fighting
her tears. Gaspar stood over her, his dark figure blocking the moonlight. His
hand reached out to her bare back, and he touched it, his fingers as cold as
the palace walls.

“You’re
better than this,” he whispered to her. “Everything that fills you with the
sadness you’re enduring, is of your own doing. So much fortune has been
bestowed upon you. It is a burden, yes, and you must wear it. But a girl among
your weakling human race, that wouldn’t trade places to be where you are now.”

Jasmine heard
the sound of the panther’s belt being undone. He was getting undressed.

She sat up
and turned around. “What are you doing?”

“We started
something earlier,” Gaspar said, exposing to her his large cock. “Now is time
we finished.”

Jasmine
closed her legs tightly and pulled them towards her.

Gaspar looked
at her almost pitying.

“Please,” she
said. “I don’t want to.”

He sat on the
bed beside her. “Why not?”

“Why … Why
not…?”

His eyes
flashed with burning passion. “Try and convince me.”

Jasmine
cleared her throat. “I’m really tired. I’m not feeling well. I’m, I’m…”

Gaspar put
his hand to the top of her knees. “Yes?”

“I’m not sure
it’s right,” she said. “For the baby.”

“The baby is
still far away,” Gaspar replied. “Besides, you’ve already had sex this evening
haven’t you? Perhaps … more than once?”

He pulled her
legs apart and stood over her.

“How I am to
convince you then?” Jasmine asked, out of ideas.

“I really
don’t think you can,” Gaspar replied slyly.

He rubbed his
cock against her panties and Jasmine knew he would soon take them from her. She
felt the tip of it peeling away the edge and slipping underneath. It was going
to happen. It was going –

CHAPTER FIVE

In the darkest corner of the room,
Brad’s bear watched the Arch Baron panther prepare for intercourse with his
beloved. As hard as it was to keep his bear from raging out to claw at the
panther’s face the second he touched her back, Brad had to keep himself under
control. He had to wait until the moment was right. When the panther’s strength
and senses had come to ground.

His bear
lifted its paw and gently pushed the bedroom door to a close. He moved along
the wall towards the bed where the panther was on top of his beloved. Massaging
his beloved’s vagina with his cock. How it tore at his insides. How to see the
horror in her beautiful, sweet innocent eyes. Brad could almost stand it no
more.

But he had to
wait.

It was only
the thought of what he was about to do, that kept the panther unfocused on his
surroundings in the room. Brad knew though if he were to attack now, the
panther would quickly recover. It would be a fight to the death between the two
until the panther’s men raced in and ended it all. No. He had to be patient. He
had to wait until the panther had taken his own glass of the poisonous liquid.

The
equivalent that is…

Brad had
known immediately as he had been served the glass on the chopper with Lynette
that it was tainted. He felt his body become immersed in its intoxication. He
felt his thoughts drown and almost evaporate entirely.

But inside,
his bear had fought the paralysis. Inside, his bear had clawed at flesh and
bitten with teeth – He had raged and roared until Brad’s sober mind returned.
And once it had, the way forward couldn’t have been more clear…

The panther
entered his mate. She yelped in her fright, the agony of it overwhelmingly
dire. Brad watched as the panther became more fixated. More focused on what he
was doing. Until the trance had taken effect and he was far away.

Long gone –

CHAPTER SIX

Consumed by her paralysis, Jasmine’s
mind was swimming with lustful demons and graphic flashes, in the few seconds
Gaspar began to fuck her. And then suddenly, without warning, a giant pair of
hairy arms were wrapped around Gaspar’s torso and neck, pulling him away and
onto the floor. Jasmine let out a stifled shriek and managed to sit up and lean
over the bed, where she could make out Brad’s bear strangling her assailant in
his vice like grip.

Jasmine was
confused because not only did she have no idea Brad was in the room – but it
had just been minutes ago that he had stared at her from empty, dead eyes and
swore he did not know her. Was he just pretending? Was that possible?

Had he truly
come to rescue her?

Gaspar’s eyes
were closed. His body lifeless. Brad shifted back to his human form and
continued to hold him, the veins in his arms pulsating. Gaspar’s face was
starting to go blue.

“Don’t,” Jasmine
hissed climbing off the bed. “Don’t kill him.”

Brad looked
back at her, the pain seeping out of him. He loosened his grip on Gaspar, and
let the Arch Baron slide off him to the floor.

“Is he okay?”
Jasmine asked. “Or did you…?”

“He’ll live,”
Brad replied. “Though he doesn’t deserve it.”

“And you …
how are you?”

Brad climbed
to his feet. He seemed reluctant to look at her directly. “I’m fine.”

“But … were
you just faking it before?”

“In a way I
was,” Brad said. “In a way I wasn’t. But I’m here now.”

Jasmine
sighed. Though she wasn’t sure if it was a sigh of relief.

“I’m sorry
you had to go through that,” Brad said. “I can’t imagine what it must have been
like.”

“Come here,”
Jasmine said.

Brad stepped
over Gaspar and sat down on the bed beside her. Still not looking at her.

“What’s
wrong?” she asked.

“I should
never have let you go tonight,” Brad said. “I failed you, my love. I was a fool
to not protect you.”

“But you have
protected me,” Jasmine insisted. “You’re here. You’re real…”

She reached
out and touched his arm. His body shuddered.

“So you
forgive me then?”

“Of course I
forgive you.”

She put her
hands to his face and turned him so she could see his eyes. His grasp then fell
on her wrist that touched him.

“Never
again,” Brad said. “Never again will I see leave your side.”

“Ooh,”
Jasmine gushed. “Don’t be silly. I … may want to go shopping or something.”

Brad’s head
jerked back. “Shopping…? Yes, I will permit you to go shopping without me.”

Jasmine
giggled. “No way. You have to come now. You have to help me pick out a new
handbag.”

“What’s wrong
with the old one?”

“I don’t
know. But it’s time for a change.”

Brad blinked.
“We really should be going now. Before he wakes up.”

“Will he wake
up soon?”

Brad looked
back to Gaspar. “That isn’t likely.”

“Then be with
me now.”

Brad looked
back to her. “I am with you.”

“No. I mean
really be with me.”

“You mean …
after…”

Jasmine
lowered her head. “You have to help me forget about him. I have to feel like
that didn’t just happen.”

He put his
fingers into her hair. “Would this help?”

“It’s
helping.”

He leant
forward over her, and then pulled her body into his.

“We still
have a ways to go, my love,” he whispered to her.

“Just let now
be now,” she whispered back.

Brad smiled
at her, and Jasmine’s heart bloomed with emotion.

“It was never
anything but,” Brad said.

CHAPTER
SEVEN

He pulled back the covers of the bed
and both of them removed the little clothing they were wearing. Brad descended
upon her with the covers around them, and her body was pressed into the mattress
as he did so. Almost at once he was inside her, his thrusts slow and gentle.
Jasmine was aware he knew the insanity of it. Despite the pleasure he was now
receiving, Brad was forced to struggle with his confusion. Both of them felt
the pressing urgency to depart the palace and flee. There was so much at stake
– and not just for them.

But Brad
understood other urgencies too. And it was urgent that she be filled by him.

Erase…

Erase it all.

Jasmine was
purifying herself with Brad’s body. She grasped the sides of his stomach and
hoped her indenting fingernails would make go faster.

Still, he was
gentle. Her grip tightened, enough that she knew it would hurt him. Of course
he would like the pain. She could feel the sensations of it travelling through
his nervous system. It caught on to his thrusts and made him fuck her just
little bit harder, without him even being aware of it.

Jasmine
moaned. She licked her teeth.

Almost on
command, Brad was there to pash her intensely. She loved it. The things she was
afraid of, the rapes, the monsters, the injustice pushed upon her, none of that
mattered when she was in the company of this man.

Brad had been
critical of himself. Consumed with his imperfections. In such a way, no man
Jasmine had ever met would be. It was so important to Brad that his mate be
cherished. For Jasmine, as virtuous as this might be, Jasmine saw a flaw in it.
It was almost as though she had too much control over Brad. Too much
leadership. She needed him to be with her on the same level. It was just that
he was so selfless she didn’t know how he would be on his own without her.

“You want to
fight me,” he said darkly.

His fucking
slowed up.

“What are you
doing?” Jasmine asked.

“You want me
to take you over, and service myself. I can feel it from you.”

“Well, if you
only do it because I want you to, it’s not going to work,” Jasmine replied.

“I understand
why,” Brad said. “Your boundaries have been shattered. The adrenalin rush you
got from being taken by those evil men, while terrifying, has caused a lack of
stimulation in your experience of sex.”

He withdrew
from her and Jasmine sat up.

“Is that what
it is?” Jasmine murmured. “Is that’s what’s missing?”

“I don’t have
to be gentle,” Brad said.

“Oh.”

“Are you
ready?”

“Ready for
what?” Jasmine grinned.

It turned out
she wasn’t.
