    destroying its warp core, sending it deeper into the atmosphere, and killing half its crew. The remaining crew are able to retrieve the warp core from the

    and escape, while Duffy sacrifices his own life to stop the Wildfire device from detonating in the atmosphere, saving the lives not only of the remaining
    da Vinci
