Who the hell was that guy?

He was massaging her calf. Had she not learned her lesson from yesterday? What the hell was this girl thinking, and who in the hell was the guy?

She looked up, and our eyes locked, just like they had yesterday. She quickly looked away as she closed her eyes tightly, and I saw the bob of her throat as she swallowed. She appeared to be nervous. The man put his hand on her shoulder and shook her slightly, her gaze snapping back to him. He asked her a question, and she responded with a slight nod that was barely discernible from where I stood. He got up, turned around, and marched over to me.

I didn’t see it coming until it happened. His fist collided with my face, and it rang my bells. I fell to my ass while he kneeled over me and pointed at my chest.

“Don’t you ever say a word to her again,” he yelled at me. My response was to swipe my leg against his ankle. He fell backwards and hit his head against a tree stump. “Nik!” Mylie screamed.

For some reason, her scream only made me angrier. I straddled him and punched his face with a quick cross then followed with a jab.

“Stop!” she screamed at me.

But it didn’t really register. All I could think was I wanted to see his blood. I heard the footsteps and cracking of twigs while I repeatedly punched lover boy, but didn’t expect to see her do a swinging roundhouse kick. Her foot landed between my chest and throat and had me gasping for air as I flew off lover boy. She went to him and checked his face.

Typical. I figured she was probably hoping I hadn’t ruined his pretty boy face. I finally regained my breath, got up, and dusted the leaves off of my workout clothes. As I looked up, I caught her slap across my face and she went for the next but I caught her wrist.

“Cool it princess, or I will take out my anger on your lover boy over there,” I growled.

“He’s my brother you idiot! Now let me go!” she shrieked.

I quickly let go and stepped back.

I recalled the comment she made before she left to speak to the police: she usually ran with her brother.

Shit! I’m such an idiot!

I shook my head in disbelief. This girl had completely invaded my body and now my mind. What was next, my heart?

Hell no!

I needed to get the hell out of here. What I needed was a distraction, and I was desperate enough to take up Trevor’s grandmother on her offer, even though I had planned to duck out of it somehow.

Chapter Three

Mylie

“Nik, killing him will only end with you going to jail. Calm down,” I said exasperated.

I knew there was no reasoning with Nik. He began pacing back and forth in the foyer as soon as we walked through the door. He was irate that he had been taken by surprise and knocked down, but what was most perplexing was the fact that Nik had approached him at all.

“He is a part of the faculty at P.H.U., and the rumor going around is that he is friendly with the students,” Nik finally said with a touch of anger.

What? He’s a professor? Oh my God, he was sleeping with students. This was bad.

My elbows rested on my knees, and I covered my face. How did this get so bad? I didn’t understand the emotions going through me, but the fact that it bothered me this much was a wake-up call.

Nik eventually left the room, and I figured I needed to do something to take my mind off all the commotion. Tea! Yes, tea was exactly what I needed. I raced up to my room and raided my closet. I went in search of the perfect outfit, but I couldn’t find anything. I needed resources, and only one person came to mind, Malory. I pulled out my phone and texted her.

Me: Problem!

Mal: Que pasa? Do I need my gun?

Me: Come over! ASAP

Mal: Ammo?

Me: TEA!

Mal: Reinforcements are on the way.

Me: Huh?

Mal: See you soon.

“Reinforcements” was never good when it came to Malory. I needed to shower. Twenty minutes later, I walked into my room and received the shock of my life.

“Ah!” I screamed.

A huge grin spread across my face seeing Malory, Rhonda, and Diana. These girls were the reasons I had stayed grounded in my principles after I heard about all of their sexual escapades. They stared at me, and I felt uncomfortable. I knew what they wanted, all the gory details.

What details did I really have? Other than an asshole had made my life feel like hell and I wanted him to be nothing but a memory?

“Spill it. What happened?” Malory was the first to speak.

“Ugh. He’s an asshole, and I am using tea at Mrs. Pierson’s as a distraction,” I replied.

I walked into the walk-in closet and put on a lacey white bra and cotton panties. I came out and the collective gasp made me flinch.

“What?” I asked as I propped my hands on my wide hips and stared at them.

“You are a single woman, not a married one. Why on earth would you wear those when you are not on your period?” Diana questioned, appalled. Coming from the
sex toys guru
, I knew this wasn’t good.

What was wrong with wearing cotton panties?

I shrugged and started to pull out slacks and a white button down shirt.

“NO! Absolutely not! Mylie, this is a setup not an interview. You’re hopeless,” Rhonda, with her luscious blonde hair and Barbie features, exclaimed.

She was the first to head into my closet, while Diana, with her jet-black hair and deep brown eyes, left the room. Malory, on the other hand, was still waiting, bobbing her crossed leg impatiently.

“Fine! I was assaulted and almost raped. This guy rescues me, just to belittle me and scold me afterwards. He asked if my daddy had taught me the buddy system. Then yesterday, Nik and he fought,” I said, beyond irritated.

I tried to say it quickly, so they wouldn’t dwell on it, but the wide-eyed, pale expressions on Rhonda and Mallory’s faces told me that hadn’t worked.

Shit.

The door slammed against the wall. The three of us jumped, and we all looked to see that Diana had her arms full of clothes still on the hangers. If I looked closely, I’d know I would see that the clothes were coordinated by color and by season. She looked at each of us, with the wide-eyed expressions still on Rhonda and Malory’s faces. Her eyes narrowed as she tried to figure out what had occurred to cause their shocked expressions.

“What did I miss?” Diana asked, perplexed by the uncomfortable silence and tension in the room. “What happened?” she asked as she stomped her foot, looking irritated.

“Are you okay?” Rhonda rushed to my side and put an arm around my shoulders.

Malory was still in shock and hadn’t moved. Diana’s expression was a mixture of confusion and concern.

“I am fine, but it was bad. I was scared because, you know, I have waited and to think that someone might have stolen that from me just had me paralyzed with fear. As much as an asshole he was, I was glad he came and was able to stop it from happening.”

“Wait what? Seriously you guys, what happened?” Diana said, clearly upset.

I couldn’t stand to see her distressed. She still clutched the clothes to her chest, clothes I knew she had brought for me.

“I got up early yesterday and went for a run by the river. I saw that there was a rabbit stuck in a snare, so I was untying it when a bum started yelling at me. He grabbed a fistful of my hair and yanked my head back. He ripped my clothes and was pulling my pants down when the asshole came and hit the bum’s head with a rock.” I paused trying to contain my emotions. “Needless to say, I was grateful, but when I saw how hot he was, I was entranced by him. At least I was, until he decided to speak. Ugh, he was such an asshole.”

“Oh my God! Why didn’t you tell us sooner?” Diana squeaked and dropped the clothes on my bed.

“Like I said before Diana, he asked, ‘Didn’t your daddy ever teach you the buddy system?’ Then yesterday, he and Nik got into a fight. I just want to forget about him and never see him again. To think, he is a professor at P.H.U--” I came to an abrupt halt, as irritation got the best of me.

I was frustrated because I knew I would see him on campus since I was still working on my graduate degree. This wasn’t good. I needed to avoid him at all costs.

“Well, how hot was he?” Rhonda chimed in with her Cajun accent. She looked over at the others, and exclaimed, “What?? You were thinking it!” She shrugged but waited for me to elaborate, as did the other girls.

“Y’all are incorrigible.” They didn’t reply, just sat there staring at me expectantly, waiting.

“Fine! He was hot. Like oh –my- God my- panties- got- wet hot. Gorgeous crystal blue eyes, beautiful tan, and the perfect build under his clothes, so I bet he has a great body.”

I sighed, and they all gawked at me.

“What?” I asked, disconcerted by their reaction.

Rhonda mouthed to Diana,
Oh my God.
To which Diana replied by bobbing her head in agreement, and they waited for Malory to say something.

“Well, I have a solution for this,” Malory finally spoke, and everyone in the room waited. “You need to have an orgasm.” She said it nonchalantly while my face burned.

Rhonda and Diana giggled.

“Excuse me?” I croaked and tried desperately to clear my throat.

“Diana, get ‘silver.’” Malory had an evil smirk on her face, and I knew I was in trouble.

“Are you serious? You want me to– while I am supposed to- have you lost your minds?” I sputtered, mortified.

I couldn’t believe that they actually wanted me to experience my first orgasm while they were downstairs. Seriously? Who does that?

“You said you wanted a distraction and to not think about him, right? So, here is the solution. You can experience him here,” she pointed to her head, “and not have to be with him. We all know tea won’t be enough,” Malory simply said while Diana and Rhonda nodded their heads in agreement.

Lord, help me.

“Mylie, you are twenty-three years old, and you have finally found someone to lust over whom you hate. This is the only solution until you find the next best thing,” Malory said pointedly.

She had a valid argument, but it still didn’t make me feel comfortable. Rhonda took out my black lacey thong, which I hated, along with the matching lacey push-up bra. Diana gave me a stunning royal blue wrap shirt and paired it with a black pencil skirt. She then handed me a pair of royal blue, suede, platform stilettos she purchased while in New York.

I went to get some nylons, and they all shook their heads. I sighed. Their expectant faces made my stomach feel like there was nothing but butterflies inside.

“Y’all are really serious, aren’t you?” I queried, hoping they would change their minds.

They all vigorously nodded their heads, and I couldn’t decide if they were morbidly curious or just extremely bored. I chose the latter.

“Diana, tell her!” Rhonda urged, and Malory bumped shoulders with Diana.

“It’s really simple. Lie back, and think of him. That reaction of seeing him for the first time, and place ‘silver’ on your clit, and the rest is history,” Diana instructed, smirking.

Diana’s chocolate brown eyes were twinkling with mischief. Her large breasts were bulging out of her v-cut, ivory, cashmere sweater dress, which was belted with a brown embellished buckle. To complete the look she also wore patterned brown tights and knee high leather boots. Her jet-black hair reached the crevice between her lower back and her perky behind. She was petite and thin, so her overly large breasts were her most noticeable feature, but it was her girl- next-door look that had had Mayor Michael Anderson chasing her since jr. high.

Diana had graduated with a business management degree but decided to follow her passion: sex. She loved sex, and teaching people about sex was no easy feat. That was why she had created Pleasure Soiree. Unfortunately, the small town of Pointe Hope was appalled, but the Internet was in love with the Pleasure Soiree Blog and appreciated the real- time answers when they asked questions. Diana turned her blog into a company and branded her own line of sex toys for his and her pleasure. In no time, her startup business had turned into a multi-million dollar company.

“How will I know… if I… well you know?” I asked quietly.

“Mylie, please. You will know!” Rhonda excitedly responded.

I couldn’t help but smile. Rhonda’s blonde hair had platinum highlights with caramel low lights. Her heart shaped face was the foundation of some of the cutest features a woman could have. She had a button nose that only served to accentuate her rosy lips. Her bottom lip was slightly plumper than the top, and her pale pink gloss only made her look that much more desirable. That all being said, her most striking feature was her crystal jade eyes. The fringe of full lashes gave her the illusion of wearing eyeliner. Her curves were what I believe women all truly desired. After years of teaching dance, especially belly dancing, it had blessed her with a small waist, full breasts, and luscious hips. I had hated her instantly when we first met at her uncle’s bar, but, this Cajun cutie had wormed her way into my heart, and we have been inseparable ever since.
