“So what now? He sends a bitch puppy. I have never seen you before.” Kyle took the opportunity survey my entire body again. He was visually searching me for weapons. He was wondering why I thought I could show up here alone.

“I’m Dragon’s daughter. You will never see me again after today.”

“No I won’t. Are you here to negotiate?”

“No, negotiations are over. I’m here to kill you.”

He laughed out loud but it didn’t rattle me. I thought of many ways to terminate him. He was big but I was smart and fast.

“I’m sorry sweetie but that was the funniest thing I heard all year.”

“I’m glad I could give you one last laugh before your death.”

“Where’s your crew. I know Dragon sent more than one little black girl to take me out.”

“No, it’s just me. I am a one woman army.”

“I think you’re a stupid little black bitch.” He searched the room with his eyes. Maybe he was looking for his gun.

“Do you want to continue to talk? Or do you want me to kill you now?”

“You’re cute, I’m going to enjoy this. Do you want me to wipe that smirk off your face bitch? Or do you want me to break your arms and legs? Maybe you want me to rape you in all your holes, gouge your eyes out and then snap your little neck?”

“Threats are a waste of time. Come and get me?”

With that he charged toward me. He leapt on the bed and I did the same. I should have let him make it to the other side of the bed before I attacked. The adrenaline in me was so high I decided to jump into the action instead of let it come to me.

He punched me hard in the face and the weight of his body pushed me to the floor. I struggled underneath him for a while. He punched me a few times as we wrestled around. I got a crucial blow into the bottom of his chin but he still was able to toss me across the room. I struggled to my feet and kicked him in the stomach. It only slowed him down. It didn’t stop him.

As soon as he went for my throat I head-butted him and kneed him in the groin. It was over after that. He fell to his knees and I decided he had been beat and battered enough. I had been hit enough times my damn self. I needed more practice. I’m rusty. It didn’t matter. I was the victor. It wasn’t the easiest kill but I’m the one that’s still alive. That’s enough for me.

BACK TO BROOKLINE

I was tired, exhausted really and very sore. Getting in this late wasn’t the plan. Father needed to be debriefed on my little kill mission. I tried to sound confident but he scolded me the way I knew he would. My father told me there would be serious repercussions for my careless actions. I had a way to get around my father’s control.

I guess all fathers try to control their daughters. He has no idea what I’ve been up to at Harvard. He knows about my grades and all that legalese I learn and share with him.

I believe my father is untouchable. I hope he never needs a legal defense. He has managed to stay out of jail for decades. I hope it stays that way. He had never been charged with a crime. Knock on wood. When problems arise he just removes the problem, kills the threat. I can respect that, self-preservation.

I couldn’t really sleep on my flight back to Boston. I was too busy overthinking my time with Kyle Packer. I was replaying how I could have done things cleaner.

I walked into my house in Brookline and Jeremy was at the door as soon as he heard the locks.

“You’re back. I missed you.” His body embraced me and it felt so unbelievably good. He apparently missed me. I missed him too. Jeremy was the only man I had an intimate connection too. I cared deeply for him. I would deny that to anybody that inquired. I would never admit I cared for any man in that way. It’s a sign of weakness.

I dropped my carryon bag and hugged him back. He took my face in his hands and kissed me deep. If I could love a man I would love him. He is lovable.

“I missed you too.”

“Sure you did.” He smirked. He doesn’t believe me. Maybe he’s joking. I’m not good at jokes.

He started removing my coat and he gave me a quick once over the way he always does. He has a certain fascination with my breasts. They aren’t that big so I’m not sure why that is.

“Selita, what happened to your face?”

My makeup must have worn off from the long flight. I didn’t bother to look into a mirror since leaving LAX. Should I tell him the truth? No, of course not. He can’t handle it.

“I fell and slammed my face hard into the corner of -- .”

“Into someone’s fist? You have a fucking black eye.” He started pulling my clothes off. I stood there and let him do it. I’m not sure why I didn’t stop him. He wasn’t a threat so why would I ever forcibly stop him. He was unaware of my strength. I pretended to be weak around him.

He unbuttoned my blouse. “Selita, your body is bruised. It looks like someone choked you? You are black and blue all over. I’m calling the police.” He rushed over to the phone that sat on the bureau by the front door.

“No, don’t. Jeremy stop!”

“Why not?”

“Because I care about you and I don’t want anything to happen to you.”

“What the fuck does that mean?”

“I like you Jeremy. You have to know I’m not exactly who I seem to be.”

“Well yes but what does that mean? You won’t tell me anything about you.”

“I can’t tell you anything. You will not understand.”

“Try me.”

I thought about telling him my backstory, my front-story or just something to appease him but I couldn’t get the words to come out.

“Selita, please. What happened to you?”

“I, I, I just fell.”

“Fine, fuck you.”

“Fuck me.” His words took me by surprise.

“Tell me what happened or I’m going to walk out of here.” He moved toward the door. I couldn’t say anything. “You don’t even care. I’m not coming back and you don’t even give a damn.”

My eyes followed him. “Fine Mr. Cavil! Go! This is real mature. How old are you?”

“Whatever fuck you.” His right hand went for the doorknob. I couldn’t let that happen. Maybe he was bluffing. He didn’t have his coat but I couldn’t take the chance. I rushed over to him. I grabbed his forearm and twirled him around. I kicked him in his leg with only fifty percent of my force but he went down on one knee. I shoved him at his shoulders and he fell flat on his back. I jumped down on top of him. I was straddling him. I looked down at him as his startled and confused face regarded me cautiously.

“Jeremy, don’t leave me.”

“What is this?”

“This is me.” I pinned his arms above his head.

“What?”

“This is me. Who I am?” I let his arms go. I didn’t want to hurt him. I just wanted him to understand.

“You’re a cage fighter?” He rose up on his forearms.

“Would that be a good explanation?”

“Is it the truth?”

“No.”

“Selita, I care about you. Tell me the truth.”

Veritas
.”

“Yes please.”

I blew air from my lungs. “When I got back home my father told me he had a job for me.”

“A job?”

“Someone had been stealing money from one of his businesses. My father despises thieves as do I.”

“What does this have to do with your bruises?”

“My father sent me to kill this thief.”

“He sent you to kill a thief.” He chuckled. “I asked for the truth.” He didn’t believe me.

“I confronted the thief. He was pretty big, huge actually. We fought. He got in a few good blows. He is the reason I’m bruised.”

“What?”

“That’s the fucking truth.”

“Why would your father send you to talk to a thief?”

“He didn’t send me to talk. He sent me to kill him.”

“What? That makes no rational sense whatsoever.”

I stood leaving Jeremy on the floor to replay my words.

He stumbled to his feet. “Your father sent you to kill a man, a fucking man.”

“Yes.” I folded my arms under my breasts.

“You are here right now. You are still alive. So does that mean he’s dead?”

“Yes, very much so.”

“Did you shoot him?”

“No, not at first. My father wanted me to shoot him. But I enjoy hand to hand combat.”

“You took me down so easily.”

“I’m trained but honestly I surprised you so that really doesn’t count.”

“Trained, what does that mean?”

“In martial arts and weapons.”

“You have weapons?”

“Yes.”

“Where?”

“Hidden in this house. I used a Beretta 92 with a silencer on the dead guy. I left that back in L.A.”

“Are you telling me the truth?”

“Yes.”

“You said you didn’t shoot that man at first, the thief?”

“No, I didn’t shoot him. Well we fought and then I shot him in the leg but that didn’t kill him.”

“But you killed him?”

“Yes.”

“How did you do it?”

“With my arms and hands.”

“Arms and hands?” He started pacing the floor in front of me.

“I applied pressure to his throat. I strangled him. If I shot him again there would be too much blood to clean up.”

“Christ.” He shook his head as the facts engulfed him.

“This is why I don’t tell you things about me.”

“Why would your fucking father put you in harms way?”

“It’s apart of my training. He doesn’t want me to go soft. He knows how much I like academics. He is trying to keep me on my toes. He’s trying to make me stronger. Sometimes he gives me missions when I get home to keep me sharp. I wanted to test my limits with this man. That’s why I’m bruised. I like the rush of the fight.”

“Your father is a sadistic asshole.”

“Well he’s my father.” I shrugged.

“This is fucking crazy because it’s fucking crazy. I mean I don’t think you’re mentally ill. Sure you are a little different, not like any woman I’ve ever known. But you are not a psycho. If you were a loon then I could just dismiss this entire bullshit story as your fucked up psycho imagination. You are a very intelligent young woman and you’re not a liar. So what? I have to believe this fucking ridiculous story because of its probability of truth.”

“Well it’s the truth. You can just pretend you didn’t hear it and act like the conversation never happened.”

“If only life was that easy.”

“Jeremy, I don’t want to lose you. I didn’t know my face would look this bad.”

“You never look bad.”

I didn’t expect him to say that.

“Are you still leaving me? You’re the only person I have here.”

He ran his hands through his hair. “No, no I’m not leaving you. I can’t leave. I lo--. I just want my Selita back, the woman that I know.”

“I’m back. I left that other Selita on the West Coast. I couldn’t wait to get back to you.”

“I want to leave but Fuck! I’m too fucking hooked to leave you. There I admitted it.”

“I feel the same way.” Did I?

“This is a lot to take in. I don’t live a life like this.”

“I know. I promise this will never happen again.” I reached for him and his body stiffened.

“Jeremy.” I wrapped my arms around him and he didn’t return my embrace. This was unfamiliar territory. I did what I thought was required. I lowered myself down on my knees and I reached for the strings of his sweatpants. I untied him.

My fingertips slipped into his elastic waistband and I slowly pulled his sweats down to his ankles. I dug my fingers into his butt cheeks and pulled his body toward me. I took a whiff of him. He smelled fresh from the shower. I rubbed my entire face over his dick and felt him grow all over my face.

His hands left his side and rose to cover his face. “Selita.” He whispered my name through his hands.

I rubbed my lips as they skimmed the tip of his dick. It was pointed at me and begging to be sucked. My face may have looked a mess but the drugs I took had numbed my jaw. I couldn’t feel my jaws at all. This would probably work to my benefit.

I licked the precum from the tip of his cock with my tongue. I was teasing him with my mouth as a sucked and licked around his shaft. The teasing was over when I opened wide, dug my nails into the skin of his ass and pushed him deep into my wet open mouth. I released a calming hum as my mouth extended to accommodate his girth and length.

I drew him deep into the back of my throat. I savored the mixture of my saliva and his precum. I wanted to show him exactly what he’d be missing if he dumped me.

I could take him deeper into my mouth because of the numbness the drugs caused. Jeremy’s legs shook as I rushed my pace. I planned to swallow every single drop. I planned to make him cum without the aid of my hands. I had never done that before and the thought of it made me wet. I pressed my lips down on the skin of his shaft to make my mouth a tighter cave.
