“Farewell, my friends. Farewell, Zan-Gah. I love you. I didn't always but I do now.” The brothers embraced as they never had since they were laughing little boys wrestling with each other. Zan could not foresee how this once dangerous, malevolent, and murderous man would over many years grow to be an esteemed leader and teacher. He only knew that the demons who had long possessed his twin had departed; that healing and regeneration were still possible, because there is a secret place in every soul that has never yet been wounded.

, won an Eric Hoffer Notable Book Award, and was a Finalist for the
ForeWord Magazine
Book of the Year Award. Shickman now lives and writes in St. Louis.
