Dustin
A few days later, I reached into my pocket hearing a familiar tune. It was Sabrina’s ringtone. I hoped it was Molly.
“Hello?” I answered hesitantly hoping it’s not Sabrina.
“I want to sit down and talk with you about an arrangement for Molly.”
And of course, it wasn’t Molly.
“Are you being serious right now, Sabrina?”
“If you want more time with Molly we need to work something out. I’ll be staying in town, I’m moving back here with Molly. Jeff and I parted ways, and I’ll be going back for a weekend getting all our stuff together, then moving into moms until I can find a place.”
My jaw dropped, as I didn’t have any other way to express my reaction to this news. I knew that part of this was good. I would be able to see Molly more often, but bad because Sabrina would be in town, for good.
“I do want more time with Molly, so where would you like to meet?”
“The coffee house, half hour, be there or be square.”
“All right.” I ended the call.
What was I about to do? Am I setting myself up or am I really getting things finally taken care of to be with my daughter?
I hoped this was for real, and that she was going to let me see her, without expecting anything in return—like a possible re-kindled relationship. I knew I was done with Sabrina, and I hoped she could understand that.
I got in my car and sped off toward the coffee house. Sabrina hadn’t arrived yet, and I thought I should take this time to give Riley a quick call.
“Hello?” Riley answered.
“Hey, what are you up to?”
“I’m actually headed to an interview right now.”
“Really? That’s awesome, hon! Knock 'em dead! I know you can! Good luck, Riley!” I smiled feeling excited for Riley and glanced around to make sure Sabrina was still not there.
“I’ll knock 'em dead, babe! I really need this job!”
“I’ll talk to you later then. Let’s meet for dinner. I’ll pick you up at six? I’m meeting Sabrina right now, so I’ll fill you in later whether or not we can come to an agreement.”
“Sounds good, baby. Bye!” She ended the call.
Perfect timing, because Sabrina had just pulled in. I looked around, but didn’t see Molly. I got out of the car and headed over to her.
“Hey, where’s Molly?”
“She’s with my Mom, and I thought we’d get more accomplished if we were alone to talk.”
I nodded my head and we headed into the Coffee Shop. I sat down at a booth in the corner, and she slid across from me sliding her sunglasses on top of her head.
“I’ll start off by saying the one thing I want to talk about first, is Riley.”
I interrupted her before she could go on, “Sabrina, I’m not doing this with you. I don’t mean to sound like a prick, but Riley is none of your business. Your life with your men is your business, and my life and relationships are my business.”
I knew this was going to happen. I knew she would bring up Riley. I can’t tell her enough to stop bringing it up before I would eventually snap.
“I don’t want her around Molly.”
“Let me ask you something. Did I have a say who was around Molly in your care? Such as Jeff, or Brad, or Larry, or any of the ones before them? Did I get a say with them? Did I get to tell you I didn’t want Molly around them? Nope, not one time did I tell you what you could do with our daughter when she’s in your care. You don’t own me, and you can’t control me either, Sabrina.” My eyes grew wide as my anger started to rise deep from within me. I wanted so bad to just walk out of the restaurant knowing this wasn’t going to go anywhere.
“She’s a criminal, Dustin. She’s not good for my daughter.” She rolled her eyes and pressed her lips together trying to come across as serious.
“Our daughter, our daughter, Sabrina. You know what, Sabrina? I knew what this was going to be, and I knew I shouldn’t have come. I want Molly this weekend, and if you don’t want to let me have her, I’ll take you to court. I’m not messing around anymore.”
Her mouth about hit the floor as I’m sure she wasn’t expecting me to drop that bomb on her. I hoped she would realize just how serious I was. I slid out of the booth and threw a couple singles on the table.
“This is for wasting the time of the waitress.”
I flew out of the place and hopped in my car and took off. I turned on some Metallica and just jammed.  I needed to ease my mind from the bullshit. I hated going through this shit with Sabrina. I knew this was coming, how stupid that I could have thought she’d actually agree to meet with me and actually talk civilly about visitation instead of the people in my life.
The only place I wanted to be right now was with Riley. I drove to her apartment and ran up to her door. I needed her right now, and I didn’t have anybody else. This isn’t something I wanted to discuss with Trevor or Evan. Riley knows how to make me feel ok. She opened the door wearing small short-shorts and a tank top with her hair down around her shoulders, and no make-up. Just the Riley I loved.
“What are you doing here?” She smiled at me confused. “I thought we were doing dinner?”
I reached out for her hand and kissed it, “We are doing dinner, but I needed to see you now.” Worry was probably written in bold print across my forehead.
“What’s the matter, babe? Come on in.” She pulled my hand into the apartment and into the living room as she plopped down on the sofa.
“I just met with Sabrina, and she is a fucking lunatic. She brought you up again, but I just want you to know I’m not tolerating that bitch. I can’t. I want and need you and Molly in my life. She can’t control me!” I started to raise my voice.
She kneeled down in front of me and placed my hands in hers as she kissed them tenderly. “Shh, it’s ok. Calm down. I’m here, and I’m not going anywhere, Dustin.”
“You don’t understand her, Riley. She’s going to make our life a living hell. I told her I wanted Molly this weekend and she better  let me have her! I can’t take this anymore. I’m so scared that I’m going to lose my daughter just because Sabrina wants to be a bitch!” I got up and started pacing the room. I was so angry, but I was trying not to break down in front of Riley. I didn’t want her to see me like that.
“Dustin, I’m not going anywhere. I’ll help you look for a lawyer, and we can settle this the legal way, and you’ll be able to see your daughter. We’ll do something, baby.”
Tears started to well up in my eyes, and I couldn’t control them any longer. Riley stepped up to me and hugged me tight. I couldn’t believe she was willing to stick around and help me fight for my child when she hardly knew her. All I wanted was for Molly to be happy, and for Riley and I to have a life together. I wanted both, but Sabrina was going to try to make it impossible.
“I don’t want to put you through this hell, Riley. She’s going to tear us apart piece by piece. I’m just so scared that I’m going to lose you both over this stupid witch who thinks she can control my life.” I cried.
Riley rubbed my arms and made me feel important. She made me feel like she really wanted to be in my life. She understood where I was coming from, and she knew how much was at stake, yet she still wanted to be right by my side helping me.
“You’re worth it, Dustin.”
I shook my head as I had heard enough about me. I didn’t even want to talk about it anymore. “How was your interview?” I half smiled.
“Eh, it was all right. I don’t feel too confident about it, but I can only hope they chose me. I’m getting bored without having a job, and I need some money flow.” She rubbed my shoulders again. “Are you sure you’re ok, Dustin?”
“I’m sure.”
“I can make you feel better.” She reached up on her tiptoes and planted a kiss on my neck trailing down to the collar of my shirt.
Man, she really did know how to turn me on. I was practically sporting wood, and it had only been a half a second since she touched me.
“I think you’re already making me feel better, baby.” I wrapped my arms around her and held her close to me as I sunk my lips onto hers, kissing her passionately.
She placed her hands on my cheeks and deepened the kiss. I slid my hand up her shirt feeling her soft, tender skin as I trailed it up to her breasts as I cupped one in my hand. She moaned into my kiss, and I gently laid her backwards on the sofa as I climbed on top of her. She tugged my shirt off and over my head throwing it to the floor. I kissed her neck and sucked on it until it became a little red. My hand reached down to her shorts and caressed her heat. She felt ready, and like she needed me at this very moment and lord knew I needed her too. My cock grew every time she touched me with her amazing hands. She had hands that were so precious and so perfect, and she knew how to use them. Her touch just drove me wild.
The rest of the night was like heaven. Riley and I made love all afternoon, literally. Finally, I told her I needed to take her and feed her. It was much needed, and we were both starving after all the energy we burned off during our personal fun time. I took her to a mom and pop restaurant that I had been going to since I was a kid. They had awesome food, and I knew she’d love it. She completely took my mind off Sabrina, and I can’t thank her enough for that. I’m so worried that this is only going to end badly. Unfortunately, if I had to choose Riley or Molly I’d have to choose my daughter. It breaks my heart and infuriates my mind even thinking that this might happen.

Riley
My cell phone rang, and I saw that it was Abby. I answered on the second ring.
“Hey, girl”
“Ry, I miss you, let’s have a girl’s day?”
I smiled looking in the mirror at myself after just getting out of the shower. I knew she was right—we needed a girl’s day. We hadn’t had one in a while, and we had some catching up to do.
“Ok, that sounds like a great idea. I just showered, so how about in an hour? I’ll come down to your place, and you can decide what you want to do today!”
“Yes! Can’t wait, girl. Sounds good! See ya soon!”
We ended the call, and I placed my phone down on the counter. The bathroom was still pretty steamy from my shower, but I was just so amazed how much I looked like I was glowing. I just felt happy, and it was such a relief feeling this way after the crazy, stressful life I had been living for so long. I was so glad that Dustin and I are finally piecing our lives together. I took out the blow dryer and went to town on my hair. I slapped some light make up on my face and clipped my black bra behind me. I was walking around in it trying to figure out what shirt I should wear when the doorbell rang. I quickly grabbed the nearest t-shirt and went to the door following Cooper’s barks. I wasn’t expecting anybody, so I peeked through the peephole and saw a police officer.
I opened the door, “Hey, can I help you with something?” I asked puzzled.
“Riley Miller?”
“Yes, can I help you?”
“I’m here to present you with an order of protection against Molly Boyd. This was ordered by a Sabrina Marten. You have been warned that you are not to come within 100 feet of Molly Boyd or Sabrina Marten. No contact of any form. Do you understand these restrictions, Miss Miller?”
My mouth flew open, and my eyes grew wide. Was this happening right now? Was I really being served an order of protection to a four year old I had met all of one time?
“Yes, sir.” I mumbled in shock.
“I’m sorry, what did you say?” The officer asked.
I cleared my throat, “Yes, sir, I understand.”
“Good.”
The officer handed me the manila envelope, turned and walked away. I shut the door, and ran to the bathroom to grab my cell, and dialed Dustin immediately.
“Hey, baby,” he answered.
“You’re not going to believe this!”
“Believe what? What’s wrong? Did you get the job?” He asked excited.
“I just got served an order of protection on Molly and Sabrina.”
I waited patiently for his response and I knew I should have probably held the phone away from my ear at that very moment.
“WHAT THE FUCK! Are you kidding me right now? You’re serious?” He shouted at me.
Yup, I was right, I knew he’d be pissed and yelling, and I was ok with that. I’d be mad, too.
“Yeah, baby. I’m sorry. What do you want me to do?”
“I need the lawyer number now. Please find me a lawyer. I have to get to work. This is it, she has just blown me out of the water, and I’m done playing games. How dare she.”
“I’m on it. I’ll get the info for you right now!”
“I have got to go. I’ll talk to you later. Text me the number and I’ll call on my break.”
He ended the call.
I couldn’t believe this was happening. I mean, I guess I had underestimated Sabrina. She really was a witch that was just doing this out of spite. If she were really worried about me, she would have someone watching me. She should know that I haven’t even seen her kid for more than a minute! Something was seriously wrong with this woman.
