I spin around, wrapping my arms around his neck. Pressing the entire front of my body up against his, I pull his face to mine, whispering between kisses, “Thank you, baby. I don’t know what or where you are taking me next, but if I forget to tell you later, thank you.”

I then commence fucking his mouth with mine. I briefly recall being pressed against the hot side of the car before I feel Nick’s strong thigh rubbing between my legs hard against my quickly drenched sex. The kiss is hot as hell, it’s fierce, and it’s burning through me with a force that leaves me breathless and drunk and I don’t ever, ever want it to end.

I catch a mental peripheral blur of Lilly fainting and internally snicker.

Groaning, Nick pulls away only to swoop back in and lick and nip his way from my heaving chest to my collarbone, up my neck, and behind my ear before he says through gritted teeth, “Lil, get your little, sexy, tempting ass in that damn car before I fuck up every damn one of my carefully laid out plans. Now.”

He bites my earlobe, quickly spins me around toward to car door, and slaps my ass before walking away. He growls over his shoulder, “Now, Lil.”

And I do as I’m growled to do.

He is pulling onto the highway, headed downtown, before we speak again.

“Sooooo, do I get clues? Or can I guess at what’s next?” I ask in a thick, raspy, sex-laden voice. I’m still freaking shuddering from our parking lot tussle.

“No, baby, you do not. Well, you can guess. That sounds like a fun thing to listen to. What’s going on in that sexy head of yours?”

“But you won’t tell me if I’m right?” I’m pouting. He always gives me my way! I may be losing my effect…

Nick chuckles at my pouting face and pinches my chin. “No, you damn cute little thing you, I won’t.” He reaches over, grabs my left knee with his huge hand, and squeezes. “Not much longer, baby. I promise.”

“Fine, but I refuse to entertain you with my genius and witty guesses, buddy,” I huff and look out of the passenger window, watching the city fly by us.

About half an hour later, we pull into the only five-star hotel in the entire city. It’s in the ‘uppity’ part of downtown, and it overlooks the river and casino boats that line up along the river.

I swallow my tongue and look over at Nick.

Lilly has apparently collected herself, as well as her whorish wits, because the heifer is stark naked besides the thong, a pair of red six-inch stilettos, and the smile she’s wearing.
Oh good Lord, Lilly. Seriously?

“Hell yes, seriously. It’s time. I freaking know it!”

Nick pulls under the front awning and gets out of the car, tossing the keys to the valet. Another valet guy moves to open my door, only to get told, “No, thank you,” by Nick as he steps around him, opens my door to help me out, and leads me toward the entrance of the hotel.

After he checks in, we ride the elevator up to the penthouse suite. I feel like my stomach is in knots and my emotions are running amuck inside of me. I’m nervous, anxious, exhilarated, happy, and scared all at the same time. And when the elevator doors open, Nick tries to lead me out with a hand at the small of my back, but I freeze.

“Lillian?” He comes around me, takes both of my hands in his left one, and uses his other hand to hit the ‘door open’ button then to cup my face and tilt it up to his. I close my eyes and try to catch my breath. I breathe in and out several times slowly, trying to pull my frazzled thoughts together.

“Lillian, baby, look at me.”

After a few more deep breaths, I open my eyes and look into Nick’s.

“Hey.” His voice is a whisper. “Nothing has to happen, okay, baby? I just want some alone time with you. And if all we do is cuddle up in bed and watch movies all day, it will be the best day of my life. I just want your undivided attention, baby. Before I start college and you start your senior year and everything gets busy and hectic, I just want this one day to stand still in time with you. That’s all, Lil.”

“Okay, Nick. I’m sorry. I’m just…” Tears flood my eyes, and in the next moment, I am in his arms, cradled to his chest.

He’s rocking me back and forth, whispering against my hair, “It’s okay, baby. I know. I won’t hurt you though. Tell me you believe that. Please tell me you believe that.”

“I do, Nick. I do. I don’t know why I freaked out, but it’s going away. I feel okay… I’m okay, baby.” And I am. I just had a teeny tiny freak out session, but now that I’m in his arms, I truly am okay.

He leans down, rests his forehead against mine, and smiles. “You wanna go check out the suite, baby?”

“Yes.” I grin as my excitement stirs again.

“There’s my girl. Come on.”

Keeping me wrapped up in his arms, we walk into the foyer of the suite.
Holy fucking shit!
I feel like Cinderella and Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman all rolled into one.

The suite is massive, with marble floors in the foyer with a narrow table holding one of the most impressive bouquets of white lilies I have EVER seen in the middle and a beautiful chandelier hanging down above the flowers.

Nick walks around in front of me and tosses his keys on the table before making his way farther into the suite while I slowly follow him, trying to get a good look at everything.

To the left is a sitting area, and there is a dark cherry wood dining room table with six white high-back chairs tucked under it. To the right is a kitchen area consisting of chrome and black. It has a bar separating it from the sitting area.

Straight across from the foyer is a wall that isn’t a wall. It’s just a big-ass window with glass sliding doors in the middle that open to a balcony overlooking the river. The sitting area is fully furnished with overstuffed white leather couches and a chair—that looks wide enough to comfortably sit two—and ottoman.

The white plush carpet looks so clean that I nervously slip off my strappy heeled sandals and scoot them with my toes to under the bar before stepping from the marble floor onto the thick, soft carpet.

“Wow, Nick. This place is amazing!” A giggle bursts from my mouth and my eyes are wide from my astonishment. “I’m sorry, but if I don’t say this right now, as crude as it is, I will hate myself forever. Holy fucking shit, NICK!” I scream, jumping up and down, then run as fast as I can towards him at the other end of the living room. I jump up and he catches me as I wrap my arms and legs around him, holding on while he chuckles and slowly spins us.

Still keeping me attached to his front like a baby monkey, he wraps his arms around my waist and kisses me so sweetly and tenderly. Then he leans back and looks into my eyes. His eyes can’t seem to decide on silver or light blue at the moment. “You like it, baby?”

“Pssh, like it? Shit, Nick, I love it!” I let out a squeal.

“Good, I’m glad. I love to make you happy, Lillian. To see you smile like that, it makes me very happy.”

“Gahhh, okay. So now what? I mean, I don’t mean to sound ungrateful or anything”—I look down and start fingering the top few button holes he left unbuttoned at his neck—“but now that you have me here, Mr. James, what will you do with me?”

“Stop it, you little temptress. The first thing I’m going to do is come over here”—he starts making his way to the dining area—“and pour us a glass of wine. Here.” He sets me on the table. “You sit here, baby, and I’ll pour you a glass.”

“Mmmkay.” I can’t keep from smiling ear to ear. I’m freaking ecstatic!

After he makes me a glass, he hands it to me, scoops me up off the table, and heads to the balcony. “You want to come check out the view?”

“Hell yeah I do.” I’m sure I am wearing the goofiest smile that has ever crossed my face. I can’t help it. I haven’t been this happy for a long, long time. And I make a vow to myself that from this day forward I will live every day with Nicolas in the moment of that day, for as long as he will keep me.

Nick and I stay out on the balcony, talking about everything and nothing. There are moments of just stillness and quiet that are not awkward. Moments of silliness where I somehow end up out of my seat and in his lap with my head resting on his shoulder, listening to his deep voice while he tells me about college, that he’s nervous but doesn’t know why. That he wants to join a fraternity as soon as his semester starts.

He asks me what I want to do after I graduate high school and I confess to him that I have no idea, that I haven’t really thought much about it. After we quietly watch the sun set, he helps me up and leads me back inside.

He pours me another glass of wine and nods toward the room off the main area of the suite. “Baby, there’s a Jacuzzi bath tub in there the size of your bedroom. Go for a swim while I call and order our dinner. You think you’ll be ready to eat in an hour and a half? Two hours?”

“Sure, I guess. I’m still kind of full from lunch, but yeah. Go with two hours.” I grab my wine and lean up to kiss him while he’s cradling the phone against his ear, dialing a number. He looks up and smiles at me as I start walking in the direction of the bathroom.

As soon as I step into the room, I look around in amazement. On a platform against the center wall that is nothing but windows is the biggest bed I have ever seen. It has four massive columns that I guess are supposed to be the ‘poster’ part of this four-poster bed.

I slip my dress over my head, grab my purse, walk into the bathroom, and quickly lock it. I take off the corset and thong, spray them down with body spray, and wave them around like crazy trying to freshen them up. Then I open a cabinet and tuck them in there.

I pick my hair up, twist it up on top of my head, and start to run the bath water, tinkering with it to get it the right temperature. I spot some bath oils on the bathroom countertop, and after smelling each one, I settle on a crisp lemony apple scent and pour all of it in the jacuzzi tub, pool, whatever. I grab the smaller robe and slippers and lay them on the bench at the foot of the tub. When I turn on the stereo, I hear some Alanis Morissette spill out around me.

I unlock the bathroom door, turn on the jets, and let my body sink into the warm, heavenly bubbles.
God, I could die happy in this moment.
I sigh and lean my head back against the hand towel I rolled up just for this. In between sipping my wine and letting the bubbles pound into my body, I become lost in heaven.

Not a single thought enters my mind, and I allow the peace to settle into my bones.

I don’t know how much time passes when I’m jarred from my trance by long limbs lifting me and settling me against Nick’s hard, warm chest. He maneuvers my head to lie back against his right shoulder, and I let myself fall back into a trance as he washes my body with a soft sponge in his left hand. Once he is finished, he wraps his arms around my waist and whispers in my ear, “Come on, baby. Let’s get out.” He nuzzles the nape of my neck then runs his tongue to my ear and nips and kisses. “You wanna lie down for a little while before they bring dinner, Lil?”

I pull myself up and let the water cascade down my body. I turn around and face him, reaching for his big hands, and help him to stand in front of me.
I will not look down. I will not look down,
I tell myself and smile up into his eyes.

“I’d love to.” I grab the robe and make a quick decision to forgo the under dress getup I have stashed in the cabinet. Instead, I wrap the thick, soft robe around me and step into the slippers. I walk over to the bigger robe and slippers and hand them to Nick.

Then I leave into the bedroom. At the same time, I hear Nick mutter, “Shit, Lillian, hold o-… Shit.”

I stand in the doorway with wide eyes and my jaw on the floor, I know it. There are candles lit everywhere, and rose petals trail from the bathroom to the foot of the bed. I see some sprinkled on the bed too.

Nick comes up behind me and wraps his arms around my shoulders. “Why am I not surprised by you finding out at least one of your surprises before I was ready?” He chuckles before he comes around me and takes my hands away from my mouth.
Huh, I didn’t even realize I’d moved them to my mouth.

He leads me over to the bed and sits down, pulling me between his long legs. Keeping his eyes on mine, he unties the robe and lets it fall open. His eyes never move from mine as he scoots the robe open farther so that it’s barely sitting on my shoulders. He runs his fingertips through my hair at my scalp until my hair tie falls out and the hair that was in a messy bun tumbles down my back. Massaging the nape of my neck, he continues to watch my eyes as his fingers sweep from my hair, down over my shoulders, and to the top swells of my breasts. He narrows his silver eyes on mine before he continues downward, circling my nipples with his thumbs and then cupping both of my tender breasts.

My breath stills while my body starts to slowly come alive under his hands. It’s getting harder for me to keep my eyes open, much less on his, until I feel the bite of him pinching one nipple, then the other. My eyes fly open to look into his that have gone dark gray, darker than I’ve ever seen them. I can almost taste the hunger and lust pouring off of him and before I can fully comprehend what is happening—my robe is gone and I’m sprawled out on the center of the bed, splayed before him.

He quickly loses his robe, and I watch his dark-as-thunderclouds eyes as he climbs up my body like a predator, nipping and licking up my legs on the insides of my knees. He laves his tongue up the center of my core and I gasp, never having been touched there by a mouth before, only to moan when I feel him bite the skin of one hipbone. I feel the bed shift and his large hands wrap around my legs from behind my knees. Then I’m being pulled to the edge of the bed with my ass about to go over.

I watch him kneel on the floor and drape each of my legs over his shoulders, his eyes never leaving mine. Then I feel his callused thumbs spread me open and his tongue lick up my core again. He settles his mouth over my clitoris and sucks it in between his teeth, beginning to flick his tongue back and forth. I groan and roll my head back, arching my back clear off the mattress. He puts one warm hand on my stomach, nudges me down, and moves his mouth away from me.
