As the crowd of Francesca’s friends welcomed her, Jane found
the most handsome man she’d ever laid eyes on standing to the side. Greeting
her with a kiss, he slid his hands around her waist and rubbed her lower back.
“How is my future bride and the mother of my child doing?”
Ben asked.
“Shh, we aren’t telling anyone yet. It’s bad luck. We have
to wait until I hit the twelve week mark.”
He groaned. “It’s killing me not being able to tell
everyone. I’ve waited forty-five years for this.”
“Well, it’s only a few more weeks.”
Ben rubbed her belly. “Maybe if we’re lucky it’ll be twins.”
“I don’t care if it’s one, two, three, boy, or girl. I’m
just so glad to be spending the rest of my life with you. I love you, Ben.”
“I love you, Jane.”
Lacey Wolfe has always had a passion for words, whether it’s
getting lost in a book or writing her own. From the time she was a child she
would slip away to write short stories about people she knew and fantasies she
wished would happen. It has always been her dream to be a published author and
with her two children now of school age, she finally has the time to work on
making her dream come true.
Lacey lives in Georgia with her husband, son and daughter,
