. Lewis Collins was best known for his portrayal of the hard-hitting CI5 agent Bodie in the British TV series 
The Professionals
 and later starred as Captain Peter Skellern in the SAS movie 
Who Dares Wins.
 At one time Lewis was considered the natural successor to Roger Moore in the role of James Bond and while his no-nonsense screen test foreshadowed Daniel Craig’s Bond, unfortunately he was considered too hard for 1980s audiences. Lewis Collins’ performances as Bodie and Skellern left a lasting impression on me. He was a major influence on the development of my protagonist and, in my mind’s eye, he will always be the prototype Alex Morgan.
