I turned to Thad and grinned. “I hope she was worth it.”

All he offered in return was a hateful glare which I turned my back on, choosing to watch Rayshon instead.

“Excuse me ladies, excuse me ladies. I’d like to welcome you all here for a very special night.” The lights hit him and the music stopped playing. “I see I have everyone’s attention
, so I would like to bring to the stage the man we all came to see. The extra sexy man that makes all the panties drop with just one look. The man who was blessed by the Gods with the gift of swag.”

Rayshon looked at me and winked. “I want you all
to scream like Freddie, Jason and Michael Myers are chasing you through the woods! Ladies…please give it up for Thaaaaaaad!”

The estrogen laced crowd went nuts. Women screamed like they were on a roller coaster ride wit
h no seat belts and I loved every minute of it. I walked pass Rayshon as he handed the mic over to me like a baton. In two seconds I was on stage and abruptly all the screaming and hollering stopped.

“You aint Thad!” One fat chick shouted.

I looked at her. “You’re right Thicky Johnson, I’m not Thad…I’m Tyce.” I spoke into the mic.

After I said that I found Angelique’s face standing in the front row looking like she’d seen a UFO. Her shiny lips were open wide and her cleavage was rising and falling quickly as she took rapid
, deep breaths. She looked good in her tight fitted low cut shirt; however her face was a disaster.

“Thank you all for comin’ out tonight. I wanted to take this brief moment to shout out my beautiful ex-girlfriend Angelique. Ladies and gentlemen, I’m here tonight cuz she’s cheating on me with this nigga.”

I waved my hand toward the side of the stage as Sway shoved Thad hard in the back sending him flying out to join me in front of the crowd.

“Show your l
ove for Thaaaaad! And Angelique, you can pick your bottom lip off the floor and kiss my ass.” I pointed at her.

The nude star covered up his dick and attempted to run off stage
, but when he saw Peck shake his head and point my gun at him he froze. The crowd went dead silent. You could hear a roach burp because it was so quiet. That all changed as the women started to digest what I was saying and they all tried to look at Angelique and Thad at the same time. I heard gasps, snickering and shouts.

“Damn, they got busted!” Thicky Johnson yelled. That’s when all the cameras started flashing and people took dozens of pictures of Thad’s home wrecking naked ass. People tried to snap pictures of Angelique, but she hastily covered her face and bolted through the crowd.

“I’ll see you at home honey!” I shouted after her.

Thad watched her rush through the crowd as he covered up his balls with both his hands. He was shaking his head and getting madder by the second at all the giggles that were being tossed his way. I walked up to him and dropped the mic at his feet.

“You won’t be singing shit tonight nigga. You won’t even be eating sol
id food for the next three months. I want you to think about me when they wire your mouth shut. You fuck my chick; I ruin you
and
take money out of your pocket. Why you think I broke your jaw?” I pushed his ass out of my way and exited the stage.

Bree, Sway, Peck
and I all walked out the emergency exit in a hurry. The alarm blared in the back ground mixed in with heavy boos from the disappointed crowd of Thad’s most loyal fans.

As the four of us walked through the parking lot Bree tapped my shoulder and whispered to me.

“Are you okay?” Her eyes showed concern.

“Naw, but I’ll be a’
ight.” I patted her back.

She stopped walking and made me stop as well to face her. She looked up at me as she touched my arm.

“I’m sorry to hear about Angelique cheating on you. I know it hurts and I jus’ want you to know that if you need to talk about it don’t hesitate to call me.” She rubbed my shoulder.

I smiled. “Thanks lil
’ mama, I appreciate that.”

I had to admit
that I had conflicting feelings swirling around in my head and heart. As I walked back to my Range Rover I felt sorrow. My heart was heavy with sadness because my trust and love had been betrayed. I wouldn’t dare let tears fall from my eyes, so I cried on the inside. The main reason for my internal sobbing was that my family was now broken up. Khari would not grow up with both her parents in the same house hold. I wanted that for her because I had never experienced that myself and neither would she.

~Gotta Move

I fucked Thad’s world up three hours ago and right after we left the club there was no time to relax. The three of us had to drop by the yard of the armored truck company to set things up for the next day. We slipped in unnoticed, did what we had to do and left just as fast as we came. After that I went home to get a few hours of sleep and eat a little something.

I called Pamela to check on Khari and ask if Angelique called her or came by. She said she’d done neither, but she would let me know if or when she did. My mom also said that she wouldn’t give her grandchild over to Angelique without checking with me first. I had to smile at my mother’s loyalty to me. She was never one to switch sides. She was pro Tyce all the way.

To be honest, I didn’t expect Angelique to call me or come by the house. That wasn’t her style lately. My best guest was that she was somewhere next to Thad rubbing his aching face and consoling his bruised ego. She was maybe even apologizing for my deranged behavior. It was either that, or she was in some hotel room trying to figure out her next move.

I didn’t have the luxury of down time to reflect on things. I had to pop up in less than five hours and stick up an armored truck for three million in cash. I wasn’t the type of nigga to let drama affect my money. It was business as usual as far as I was concerned. Sooner or later I would deal with Angelique, but for the moment my empty stomach and my soft pillow were my top priorities.

~The Heist

Just after nine a.m. my team was trailing the armored truck like we’d done three times before. We were in a different vehicle, but the focus was the same. I drove, Sway rode shotgun and Peck graced the back seat. We were all ready to finally get the party started.

Sway held a remote detonator in his lap and was flipping switches and doing shit that I didn’t understand. Demolition was his expertise and I let him handle that. Everybody knew the plan inside and out down to the very last detail. The time had come to execute. We all wore black full body flight suits with bullet proof vests underneath. High powered weapons, huge duffle bags, black hockey masks and plenty of ammunition were riding with us.

The truck made its last pick up and started to head back to the yard as usual.

“You gettin’ anything on the scanner Peck?” My eyes stayed on the truck as it drove down the street.

“There’s a major accident on the highway. Some dude with a gun is running loose about ten miles from here, so all units are headed that way.”

“A’
ight good, let’s keep the holice real busy. Call in a bomb threat to Franklin High School. That should keep ‘em occupied for a while.”

Peck grabbed the burn out cell phone and dialed the number to the nearest high school. I
’d compiled a list of all the local schools in the area complete with phone numbers and addresses.

Peck took the head phones off to the scanner and put the phone to his ear. When the school
’s secretary answered he went into action.

“I’m fuckin’ tired of people pickin’ on me! You hear me? My torment ends today! I hope all
the jocks and the popular bastards burn in hell when the bomb goes off. Yeah, that’s right, a bomb bitch!”

Then h
e hung up, took the battery out and broke the phone.

“You think they bought it?” He looked at me.

“Yeah, I think you were pretty convincing. You sounded crazy as hell.”

“Good.” He put the head phones back on to monitor the holice scanner activity.

I turned to Sway as the truck made a right ahead on a deserted street.

“The charges ready?” I slowed up a bit.

“Yeah, the one on the rear axle is set and so is the one under the rear doors.” He patted his contraption like a puppy.

“You sure they won’t blow the whole truck up?”

“Naw, it’ll break the axle like a twig and pop the back doors wide open. I know my shit.” He flashed a cocky grin.

I took a deep breath and pressed the gas pedal down a little to accelerate the crew cab Chevy S10. I brought the rig
within fifty yards of the armored truck. That was the distance Sway suggested, so we wouldn’t get caught by the explosion.

“Light
‘em up.” I gripped the steering wheel tightly.

“The bomb threat worked. The police are all headed to the school. We got a four minute response time. Let’s get paid!” Peck punched the roof.

Sway flipped the switch on the trigger box and we all watched as the blue and gray truck transformed into a bright red and orange fiery ball. The tail gate lifted off the street and slammed back down causing sparks to shoot from the tires. The rear axle was indeed broken and the under carriage was dragging along the road. When the fire died down I could see the rear doors flapping and rocking off the thick metal hinges.

“Damn!” I sped toward the crippled vehicle.

“I told you! I told you! I know my shit!” Sway sat the detonator box down and grabbed his gun.

“They jus’ made the call…we got four minutes!”

Peck snatched the head phones off and grabbed his gun too. With the rear wheels not functioning, the mobile bank grinded to a halt on the side of the road. I pulled up in back of the truck and we all hopped out wearing our masks and gloves as we carried intimidating weapons. I opened one side of the back door and took cover against the closed side. Three shots echoed from inside as one of the guards fired his weapon. He was disorientated from the blast, so his aim was way off. I took a chance and poked my head around, so I could see where he was. I found him crouched in the corner gripping his revolver with shaky hands.

I didn’t have time to negotiate or talk him down, so I angled my gun around the door and shot two rounds at his feet. The second shot struck his thigh tearing a gaping hole into it. He screamed in pain and held his leg tightly.

“Don’t be stupid! I
could’ve killed you! Throw the money out, or the next shot will blow your fuckin’ head off! You make thirteen dollars an hour! Come on man, it’s not worth it! Throw the money out now!” I shouted at him.

We knew that the men were trained to stay in the truck. The glass was bullet proof and so was the metal body
, but they would shoot from small holes in the doors from the safety of the cabin. Knowing that fact; Sway ran to the front bumper and showed the two men inside another bomb. He made sure that they saw it through the front windshield before he threw it beneath the engine.

“Tell your man to toss the money out
, or you all burn to death! You got five seconds!” He shouted through his mask.

Peck crouched behind
the back bumper with me and unzipped the duffle bag.

“How much time we got?!” I looked around the empty street.

“Three minutes and twelve seconds!” He yelled back.

“You got five seconds! One, two, three…” I barked at the dude in the back of the truck.

The first stack of cash came flying out and landed on the street. The second green bundle followed quickly. The cash kept tumbling out until the truck was empty.

“That’s all of it!” The in
jured security guard screamed.

I gave the piles of money a quick unofficial calculation in my head and estimated it to be about three million. Peck saw the dough and started to dash of
f to stuff it in the duffle bag, but I grabbed his shoulder and snatched him back down next to me.

“Don’t expose yourself to that fool inside the truck! He still has a gun!” I leaned up against the closed door for protection.

The money was tossed out of the open door of the truck and the dude inside had a clear shot at anybody who tried to retrieve it.

“Damn, you’re right. We
need to hurry and get it though. We only got two minutes and twenty seconds!” Peck eyed the cash thirstily.

Sway was in tune with my thinking and he ran from his position in front of the bumper along the side of the
truck and slammed the open door closed.

“Get the money!” He held the heavy
, rickety door securely.

Peck and I dashed to the pile and stuffed all
of the cash in the huge bag.

“Time!” I shouted at him.

“One minute thirty three seconds!” He looked down at his watch.
