“Ay,
which room is the star in? I wanna get his autograph for my sister.” He put on his fake smile.

“He’s
around the corner to the right,” Barry told us.

“Thanks bro.”

“Yep,” he replied dryly as he placed the money in his pocket.

My back was to them, but I could hear the beginnings of
a disagreement bubble up between the two men.

“Yo, why you put the money in your pocket?”

“Cuz I ain’t got change man.” Barry defended his decision.

“Nigga, give me two bills
and you take two bills, and then you take your ass to the bar and get change. You aint gotta take all the money and stuff that shit in your pocket!”

“Nigga shut up
! Ain’t nobody gonna take your money!” Barry’s voice got higher.

“You damn right! I’ll
be right here waitin’ for my fifty bucks.”

I turned the corner leaving the bickering brothers to sort out the financial details of their come up. Peck addressed me as we made our way to Thad’s dressing room.

“Why you give big and bigger five hundred dollars? We should’ve jus’ jumped ‘em in the hallway. Shit, you could’ve jus’ gave me the money and let me shoot ‘em.” He threw his hands up in frustration.

I chuckled. “Sometimes you gotta grease a few palms jus’ to make things a lil
’ easier. It’s not always the best idea to shoot somebody. Don’t get me wrong, I still will shoot a muthafucka, but sometimes it’s smoother to cash in on a person’s greed,” I schooled.

“Mmmm hmmmm.” Peck got
my logic.

I was starting to get a little anxious as we neared Thad’s back stage room. I wasn’t nervous, just eager to get that shit started. I figured we would get searched and I didn’t want to tempt Peck’s itchy trigger finger, so I purposely left the guns behind. We were a few feet away from the door when it suddenly opened and a man with a clip board walked out closing the door behind him.

“Look at this fool.” Peck shook his head yet again unimpressed. My five foot eight inch tall crew member was short in height
, but he had stacks of heart.

The official looking man glanced up from his paper taking notice of us as we stepped toward him.

“Ummm, excuse me gentlemen, but can I see your passes please?” He looked up at us through black framed glasses with missing lenses.

“We ain
’t got no passes.” Sway looked at me. “I’m gettin’ tired of all this back stage pass bull shit.” He flexed the muscles in his arms.

“T
hen you can’t be back here. I’m going to need you guys to leave right now. How’d you get pass security anyway? I can’t have strange men walking around back here right before Thaddeus takes the stage. Who are you guys?”

Peck turned to me as the man was talking
. He was silently begging me to give him the green light. I nodded my head up and down and stepped aside a little to give him some room to work with.

“Thank you!” Peck balled up his hand.

In one quick motion he put his fist through the open window around the hall monitor’s right eye. The dude’s head flew back and he slid down the wall. The clip board hit the floor and so did his tight ass as he slumped over like a drunken bum. I stepped over his right leg, which was suffocating in a pair of red skinny jeans.

“Nice punch my nigga! Bring his ass inside.”

I jabbed Peck in the mid-section as he smiled like a first grader at his handy work. We all looked down at the sleeping nerd before I put my hand on the door. I waited for Peck to grab his victim around his white collar before I opened the door. On the quick count of three, I snatched the door open and we rushed inside like storm troopers. Thad jerked back in his chair with a look of complete shock plastered on his pretty face. The overly feminine man who was previously applying make-up to Thad’s face dropped his mini brushes and opened his shiny lips. His jaw hit the floor as we all stepped inside.

“What the fuck is all this?!” The slender man rolled his neck.

“Shut the fuck up Tevin Campbell. We ain’t here for you. We want that nigga.” I pointed at Thad.

He looked at all three of us with wide eyes. We’d caught him completely off guard.

“What the fuck do ya’ll want with me? How’d you guys get back here without passes?” He asked stupidly.

Sway stomped his foot. “Here we go again with this pass shit! Pass pass pass. Fuck a pass!”

I quickly cleared up any confusion in the room and informed our scary ass prisoners of what exactly was going down.

“We ain
’t here on no concert business Thaddeus. We in your dressing room cuz you fuckin’ my woman.”

Peck dragged the knocked out hall monitor to the side of the room by his shirt. He wa
s starting to come to, but Peck kicked him in the face and put him back to sleep. Thad looked like he was constipated as he stared at me and then at his sleeping manager.

“You’re Tyce? You’re Angelique’s boyfriend?”
His eyebrows rose.

“I see she’s talked about me. Thanks for lettin’ me know
that you knew about me. I guess that didn’t stop you from fuckin’ her anyway huh?” I stood over him as he looked up at me.

“Look bro, I ahhh, I don’t wan
t no trouble man. Me and Angelique jus’ friends. I swear on my mother, it ain’t even like that.” He put his hands up and lied to my face.

Sway took
his spot beside me. “Check this nigga out. He thinks you’re in Special Ed Tyce.”

“Right. He must think I’m dumb or somethin’. Look nigga, I can’t stand being lied to by a bitch. At least be a man about your shit. I can respe
ct that. Tell the truth tho’. I already know, but all I want you to do is admit it. You got some testosterone runnin’ through your blood? Do you have a chest underneath that silk, turquoise shirt? Man up nigga.” I folded my arms across my chest.

Thad took a deep breath as he steadied his nerves. His make-up artist retreated to the left after he heard what I was there for.

“Oh shit,” he said under his breath. “You sleepin’ with this man’s woman? I would not wanna be you right now Thad. He looks so serious. Look at his pecks and arms. He looks like he could bench press a Buick.” He touched his scrawny chest.

I waited for Thad to grow some balls and fess up.

“A’ight, I’ve been seeing her, but we’ve only been dating for about three weeks. I honestly felt bad about the whole situation…for real man. I’m not even the type of man to get involved with a woman that’s in a relationship.”

I clapped my hands together and gave Thaddeus a round of applause. I was mildly impressed with his act of bravery in the face of obvious danger.

“There you go boy. You ain’t gotta lie to kick it. The truth shall set you free.” I nodded down at him.

Thad relaxed a little. “So we cool?”

“Yeah we cool my nigga, don’t even trip.”

He let out a sigh of relief and put his hands down. I smiled down at him and then I slammed my fist into his
mouth with the force of a battling ram. The office chair he was sitting in rolled back a few feet. Thad let out a deep grunt and instinctively cupped his face in his hand. His eyes were tearing up and his right leg was shaking like a leaf.

“I I t t think you b broke my j j jaw. Uhnnnnn.” Thad moved his head like he had a neck brace on. He put his hand up to defend
himself against any oncoming blows.

Peck laughed. “That shit sounds broke like a muthafucka. You stuttering and shit.”

“Strip nigga!” I shouted.

“Wha what?” He stammered still holding his chin.

“I said strip. Take your clothes off now!”

“Come onnn m m man,” h
e pleaded.

I balled my fist up. “I will punch you in your fuckin’ heart if you say somethin’ else! Strip nigga!”

I didn’t hear a peep from Thad as he slowly stood up and unbuttoned his shirt. Next he took off his dress shoes and his black slacks as we all watched in silence. After his pants were removed he stood there in his purple bikini briefs and ankle high dress socks.

“Underwear too nigga!” I slapped him across his cheek bone.

“Aghhhhhunn!” A tear ran down his dark face.

I looked over at the make-up artist who was taking in the show with a look of awe. He peered down with anticipation as his client took his underwear off revealing his ashy dick to the men in the room. To be honest I expected it to look like it belonged on a ten year old boy, but his shit was man size. I got more enraged as I imagined that lotion less thing in my woman’s mouth!

“Tevin,
break out your red lip stick and write I’m a bitch ass nigga on his chest and you better not say a word Thad!” I flexed my hand at his head and he flinched.

Peck laughed again slapping his knee.

“That fool ducked like somebody threw a baseball at him!”

Thad just glared at my friend as he pointed a finger at him
, but he didn’t say a word. He just stood there naked in dress socks, a gold watch and a chain around his neck. Tevin did as he was told and wrote the message across his torso. After he wrote the words he stepped aside to let me see.

“Is that good?” Tevin pointed at Thad’s chest with the tip of his lip stick pen.

“Perfect. Now let’s start the show. You got a room full of ladies out there and you don’t wanna keep ‘em waiting.” I grinned at the singer.

Thad finally spoke up,
although it was barely audible.

“C c commme on maannn. You aint g g gottaa dooo dis. I I I c can’t goo out dere.”

“Kill that shit before I kill you. The show must go on baby. Sway, Peck-grab his ass and let’s go. Ya’ll back me up on the way to the stage with pretty boy here.”

“We got
you, don’t even worry about nothin’.” Sway put Thad in a head lock and followed me out.

Tevin trailed behind Peck on our way to the stage. I had a feeling he was intrigued by the whole dramatic scene. It was obvious
that he held no loyalty for Thad. To him he was just another customer.

“This is some crazy shit,
” Tevin announced as he brought up the rear looking at Thad’s ass.

We swiftly made our way up the stairs to the back stage area. There were several people gawking and pointing. Our odd entourage was getting negative attention. Although I didn’t bring a gun
in there myself, I did make preparations to have one available. Among the people gathered back stage was my good friend Bree. Unlike us, she had a pass and a loaded gun inside her purse and she was waiting excitedly for me. Sway had a naked Thad in a tight choke hold and Peck was ordering people to stay back in his mannish manner. I approached Bree with a nonchalant style.

“Hey Bree.
You enjoyin’ the show?” I smiled.

“I can’t believe this Tyce. I had no idea this was what you were planning when you asked me to bring a gun in here. I shoulda known you had other plans…you always do.” She peeked around my shoulder at Thad. “He looks scared. Sway better ease up on his neck
, cuz he looks like he’s about to pass out.”

I l
ooked over at him. “He’ll be a’ight. Let me have that cuz these people are startin’ to get a lil’ loose.” I held my hand out.

Bree reached in her hand bag and placed my tru
sty nine millimeter in my palm.

“This is gonna be good. Let me get a quick picture of him to put on Instagram.” She whipped out her cell phone as I walked away.

I immediately took control of the back stage chaos. I held my gun in the air for all to see and I started belting out orders.

“I want everybody to huddle up in the corner over there.” I pointed to a dark area. “I don’t wanna hurt nobody
, but if you press me or scream or anything like that I will shoot you in the fuckin’ face. I’m here for Thad…not you. Is that crystal clear?”

Heads nodded
, but mouths stayed closed as seven people shuffled to the corner. I gave my gun to Peck and instructed him to watch the small crowd and make sure nobody moved. All the noise back stage was muffled by the loud music of the club, so the crowd was completely unaware of what was really going on. I stepped toward my new friend Tevin and grabbed him by his skinny arm.

“I need you to go on stage and introduce Thad. I can’t have the music blastin’ when all this shit goes down. I want you to know I appreciate you stayin’ in line. You make it easy for me not to shoot you. I like you Tevin.” I cocked the chamber on my silver gun.

He swallowed hard. “Ummm Mr. Tyce…my name is Rayshon and I think what you’re doin’ is sick, twisted, and vindictive. I would love to be a part of it. You are my kinda man!” He snapped his painted fingers.

I had
to chuckle at his honesty. That slim nigga really was a drama queen.

“A’ight Rayshon,
do your thing. Bree, hand him that mic over there.” I pointed to a stand.

Bree quickly g
rabbed the mic and passed it to the MC who walked out on stage with a twist in his narrow hips. Sway half dragged the star of the evening up beside me while keeping him buttoned up with an air snatching choke hold. Peck was busy babysitting and I was ready for the show.
