It was so incredible that it was a struggle to remain still. But I knew I had to. I was afraid he’d stop again otherwise.

My orgasm was building quickly, so quickly. He knew exactly how to touch me; how to drive me crazy. I wasn’t in control of my own body anymore. He was. He had complete and utter possession and I loved every second of it. It was freeing. Invigorating. Incredibly erotic. I never wanted it to stop.

I threw my head back against his shoulder. His lips brushed mine softly and he whispered, “You’re gonna come for me now.”

It wasn’t a statement. It was a command.

“Brad,” I gasped as he started to thrust harder.

Over and over again.

I heard myself screaming his name like a wild animal. I couldn’t stop. It was too intense. Almost too much. I was close. So close.

“Good girl. Take it. Take it all.”

“I…I can’t!” It was too much stimulation. He kept hitting a sensitive bundle of nerves inside me while working my clit at the same time. My body couldn’t deal with it. I’d never felt anything like it.

“You can. You feel that…inside? Deep in your pussy?”

“Yes,” I panted.

“It’s your G-spot. Trust me, Soph. You can handle it. Don’t fight it. Let it happen,” he spoke soothingly in my ear.

He made it impossible for me to do anything else when he pounded into me with unrestrained fury. I screamed as the most intense orgasm of my life ripped through me. I felt it through my entire body. It shook me all over.

“Fuck!” he grunted as his dick jerked inside me.

When the pure ecstasy that’d gripped me finally subsided, I was a shuddering mess. The aftershocks just seemed to go on forever.

“I’ve got you,” he said, holding me tightly.

It took me several moments before I could manage to string a few words together and say, “That was…incredible.”

You
are incredible.”

I scoffed.

He squeezed my waist. “I’m serious. The way your body responds to me is…amazing.” His hand brushed my clit and I squirmed. “I barely have to touch you before you’re coming apart in my arms.”

I turned to him and pouted my lips at him. I was not that easy
.

He chuckled and drew his finger over them. “It works both ways, Soph.”

“Really?” I asked, surprised that someone as inexperienced as me could affect a man like him.

He nodded. “Just a look from you gets me hard.” He shifted his weight. “Speaking of…” he said, starting to pull out.

“No,” I said, clamping my legs shut and squeezing his dick inside me. “Just a little while longer.”

He grunted. “Any longer and we’ll be going round three.”

“I’m not complaining.”

He shook his head. “No, darlin’. You’ll be too sore,” he said and then proceeded to pull out. We both groaned at the loss. He climbed off the bed. “I need to take care of the condom. Be right back.”

The last thing I remembered was watching him walk out of the bedroom door, before my eyes grew heavy and I slipped into sleep.

Chapter 11

~Brad~

I’d just finished making us both a cup of coffee when I heard her footsteps pounding down the stairs. I walked into the lobby to meet her. She was dressed in last night’s rumpled clothes, her hair a wild mess, her eyes wide and stained with yesterday’s makeup. She looked so cute with little raccoon eyes, that I almost missed the shit-scared expression all over her face.

“What’s wrong?”

“It’s 10am!”

I shrugged. “And?”

She slapped my bare chest. “
And…
I have to get home! Ollie…I didn’t tell him I wasn’t gonna be home last night. He’ll be freaking out and he’ll…he’ll know. Shit! How could you let me sleep here all night?”

She reached for the front door, but I was there in a second, stopping her and pinning her against it. “Breathe.”

“No, Brad! Stop! I have to go!”

I clamped my hand over her mouth. That shocked her enough for her to stop squirming in my arms.

“Ollie doesn’t know shit.
He
didn’t make it home last night either. I got a text from him late last night. And he’ll be at work now.” I watched her register my words. “You have nothing to worry about. Okay?”

She nodded and murmured a response into my hand.

I released her and grinned. “What was that? I couldn’t quite hear you there, Soph.”

She fixed me with that
I’m-not-amused
glare of hers.

“Come. I made you a coffee.”

I walked back through the living room into the kitchen, giving her little choice but to follow after me. I handed her a mug. “Wow, when you freak out, you really go all out, huh?”

She just rolled her eyes. And then she asked, “What did he say in his text? Why didn’t he make it home?”

“He had a date.”

“A date.”

“Yep.” I waited for it to dawn on her. She almost spat out her coffee when it finally did.

“His date with Tiff? Oh God…they…hooked up last night?”

“Seems like.”

She screwed up her face. It was so fucking adorable.

“It’s been a long time coming. I talked to him about her weeks ago and he waited until last night to make a move. Typical Ollie.”

She cocked an eyebrow at me. “
You
set them up?”

“I put in a word. That’s all.”

“Why?”

“Tiff had me over a barrel.”

“How?”

“Let’s just leave it at that.”
Shit.
It wasn’t like I could tell her the real reason involved the brunette I’d fucked weeks ago. She’d already shown her jealousy over it yesterday when she’d thrown it in my face. Besides, it was all in the past. All I cared about was
her
and what’d happened between us.

Thankfully, she accepted that and turned her attention back to her coffee.

“You’re not working today.” My mom’s store didn’t open on Sundays. “Do you have plans?”

She shook her head, but didn’t say anything else. She was making me work for it.
Good.
That was the Soph I knew and the Soph that hadn’t come out enough since she’d been back. The spunky, fiery Soph.

“Do you want to go out?”

Her eyes flickered with amusement. “Is this you asking me out on a date?”

I leaned over the counter towards her. “Mmm hmm. You interested?”

She put down her coffee and folded her arms across her chest. “That depends.”

“On what?”

“Where you were planning on taking me.”

The little minx was playing with me. “I have somewhere in mind.”

“Where?”

“The ravine.”

Her eyes lit up. “Really?”

“Yep. After you’ve finished your coffee, head home and do what you need to—shower, change. Meet me at the end of the street. I’ll pick you up there in the truck.”

“I’m done now,” she said, hopping off her stool excitedly. She started through the living room towards the front door. “Twenty minutes?” she called over her shoulder.

I hurried after her and caught her just before she opened the door. “Back door,” I told her.

“Right. Nosy neighbors. Sorry,” she said, sheepishly.

“No problem, darlin’.”

It would’ve been a problem if she’d actually made it out. If the neighbors saw her leaving my house looking the mussed up way she did, like she’d been treated to the fucking of her life, word would’ve spread like wildfire. It would’ve got back to Ollie in a flash and shit would’ve hit the fan big time.

She stretched onto her tiptoes and gave me a quick kiss on the cheek. “Bye.”

I slapped her ass as she brushed past me and she yelped. Smiling, I told her, “Twenty minutes and it’s a date, darlin’.”

Chapter 12

~Sophie~

“I’d forgotten how beautiful this place is,” I breathed as Brad and I made our way down the dirt path towards the lake. I kicked up my feet at the piles of fallen leaves from the age-old trees looming either side of the path as I took in the beauty all around us. It was as though the trees were protecting us and enveloping us in our own secluded bubble, impenetrable to the outside world.

Brad squeezed my hand and smiled.

He hadn’t stopped touching me since I’d climbed into his truck.

As he’d driven us up here, his hand had been fixed firmly on my thigh. When we’d arrived, he’d hurried around to my door and taken my hand to help me out. And it hadn’t left me since.

It was as though he was afraid I’d blink out of existence if he didn’t have some sort of physical hold on me. It was odd, because I’d never pegged him for an affectionate guy. He’d always seemed to have some sort of wall up around everyone—even my brother who was the closest person to him, as his best friend. He’d always stood at a distance.

But something had shifted in him since last night. I couldn’t quite put my finger on it and I didn’t understand it. All I knew was that I liked the
new
side of him. And so, I’d decided not to say anything. I’d just let it be.

Things between us were very new. Too new to have the
where-is-this-going
talk. Besides, I didn’t care about the future. I liked where we were. And I wanted it to continue exactly the way it was. I knew it was more than sex and that was enough for me. I’d been so shocked when he’d asked me out on an actual date and, judging by the look in his eyes when he’d asked me, so had he.

“What’s going on in that pretty little head of yours?” he asked, eyeing me curiously.

“Nothing. I’m just happy…with
you
.”

“Yeah?”

“Definitely.”

He planted a chaste kiss on the top of my head. I titled my head up, wanting more, but he quickly pulled away.
What’s that all about?

Before I could ask, he said, “I come up here a lot to clear my head when Marsden gets a little too suffocating.”

Is this him trying to open up to me?
“Just like we used to as kids?”

An awkward silence fell between us for a moment and I realized why. Ollie. The
three
of us had come up to the ravine a lot together when we were kids. Ollie had started a competitive rock-skipping game that we used to play for hours. He and I would end up driving Brad crazy with our sibling rivalry. Brad hadn’t cared about all of that. He’d just been there to enjoy himself and to pretend, for those few hours, that his hell of a home didn’t exist. The cloud that had always followed him everywhere back then had disappeared on those days.

“Sorry, I didn’t mean—”

“No, it’s fine. Don’t worry about it, darlin’. You don’t need to censor yourself around me.”

He wrapped his arm around me and I melted into him. “Okay,” I murmured.

I gasped as we finally reached the lake. It was gorgeous, surrounded by the heavy foliage of the fir trees standing at attention and safeguarding the crystal blue waters. Very few people knew about the little lake. It was hidden well. It had taken the three of us hours of exploring before we’d stumbled upon it one day.

“Thank you for bringing me here,” I exclaimed, flinging my arms around his neck.

He leaned down to meet me and our lips locked in a soft kiss.

Instantly, I was overcome by the feel of him. It was like an addiction that I couldn’t control for the life of me. But I didn’t want to control it. I wanted to revel in it. He grunted as I deepened the kiss. His hands cupped my ass as our tongues danced together. Heat pooled between my legs and a powerful wave of desire gripped me. I rolled my hips. He was hard with need already.

But then he suddenly pulled away, panting hard.

“Brad, what’s—”

He cut me off, asking casually, “So, how’s it going working with my mom?”

Wow
. Mentioning parents was a surefire way to kill the mood and I had a feeling that was exactly what he was trying to do.
Why? Does he not want to touch me now, for some reason?

“Uh…good...really good. She’s a good boss. And the work keeps me occupied.”

“For now.”

“What?”

“You’ll get bored soon enough.”

I didn’t like where that was going—into lecture territory. Just because he was four years older than me, didn’t mean that he had the right to give me shit like that. But I also didn’t want to get into an argument about it. The two of us fired one another up and, as soon as one of us got a little pissed, we took the other with us until it escalated into a full-on explosion of an argument.

We were on a date—our first date—and I wanted to keep things light. Fun.

I looked out at the lake and that was when an idea occurred to me. Before I could talk myself out of it, I undid my jeans and pulled them off.
