“Ma!” Fiona said, as she blushed instantly, one of Booker’s favorite things about Fiona.

“What? Ya do know what a penis is, right? Booker has one,” Mary Margaret said, while waving towards Booker’s crotch.

Slightly shifting so Fiona was in front of him, not wanting Mary Margaret gesturing toward his junk anymore, he said, “Hello Mary Margaret. How are you doing?”

“Oh, the best that I can. I think Carlin said my name earlier, so that is an improvement.”

“Really?” Booker said, while looking down at Fiona.

Fiona shook her head. “Ma, what did I tell you? You were sleeping and you were the one who said your own name in a deep Irish voice like Da’s.”

Mary Margaret tisked her tongue. “What did I tell ya, child? Ya father used my body to talk to me. Honestly!” Mary Margaret got up and announced she was going to get some coffee. She gave Booker a pat on the cheek before she left the room. “Good to have ya here, son.”

Once she left, Booker looked around the room and then back at Fiona. “So…you guys did some decorating?”

They both looked around again and then back at each other. Instantly they busted out in to a fit of laughter as they took in their surroundings.

“Ma has gone a little crazy.”

“I can see that. Is that…a baby nailed to a cross?” Booker asked while taking a closer look at the homemade rosary that was draped across Carlin.

“Yeah…” Fiona dragged out.

“And Lucky Charms?”

“Ma said Lucky is the only leprechaun she trusts to bring good fortune, so she got a few boxes for Da’s room.”

“She does know it’s General Mills who puts the lucky marshmallows in the cereal, right?”

Fiona chuckled as she hugged Booker. “I think we might have to start thinking about a mental institution for her.”

“I do have to admit…that is one impressive rosary.”

“She takes great pride in her baby-nailing skills. I can’t tell you the number of nurses who have traded rooms after seeing Barabbas.”

“Barabbas?” Booker asked, with a quizzical eyebrow.

“It’s what the boys and I call the baby Jesus. He is way too creepy with his painted-on eyes and bloody forehead. We try not to make eye contact with him.”

“Understandable,” Booker said, as he eyed Barabbas. “I think it’s staring at me.”

Fiona laughed and draped a blanket over the demon child.

“He comes alive at night.”

“Uh, yeah he does,” Booker confirmed. He squeezed Fiona and kissed the top of her head. “I’ve missed you so much, baby. I’m so sorry about how you left and how I couldn’t be with you at first.”

“I’m sorry too. I haven’t been myself lately. I’ve…I’ve missed home, Book.”

“I know. I’ve missed it here too. That’s why, once your dad gets better, we will be looking for a house right away.”

“You mean that? I know we were going to look for a place, but then work got in the way and I mean, your job is all the way across the country.”

“Shhh,” Booker silenced her. “I know it is, but my life is here. We will work out my job and the details later, but for now, I want to be with you and make what we have together work out. I can’t stand the thought of not being with you. You’re my girl, Fiona.”

Fiona stood on her toes and kissed Booker on the lips. “I love you, Book.”

“I love you too, babe.”

“Thank you for being here. I really needed you.”

Booker’s heart broke as he thought about how he wished he was with Fiona a lot earlier but knew work prevented him from being with his girl.

“I’m sorry I couldn’t be here earlier.”

“You’re here now, that’s all that matters.” Fiona paused for a second before looking up at Booker. “I need to tell you something.”

The way Fiona said that sent alarm bells going off in Booker’s head. What did she have to tell him that made her use that kind of tone? Images of Fiona and Murphy together started to fly through Booker’s head as his entire body tensed at the idea of that brawny Irishman touching his girl.

“What do you…?”

“Did he talk again?” Mary Margaret asked, as she walked back into the room, having the worst timing ever.

Fiona exhaled as she brought her attention back to her mom. “No, he hasn’t moved since you left, Ma,” Fiona said in a bit of an annoyed tone.

“Well, that’s okay. He was probably waitin’ for me. I am the love of his life, ya know?”

Fiona rolled her eyes. “We gathered that, Ma.”

“Are ya sassin’ me, Fiona?”

Fiona straightened up. “No, Ma.” Then she turned back to Booker. “Can I meet you back at my apartment? I’m sure you want to lie down for a while.”

“No, I want to be with you,” Booker said, but what he really wanted was for Fiona to finish what she was saying before Mary Margaret came back.

“Give me some time with my mom,” Fiona said.

“Oh, okay.” Booker tried not to seem upset, but the last thing he wanted was to be pushed away again by Fiona.

Fiona grabbed Booker’s face and looked him in the eyes. “I love you, Booker. Just give me a little time with my parents and then I promise I will meet you back at my place, okay?”

“Okay, babe.”

They said their goodbyes, but Booker didn’t feel good about leaving Fiona. The whole reason he came to Warblers Point was to be with her and support her, but now she didn’t want him with her. It was all too weird. Instead of putting up a fight while her dad was in a hospital bed and her mom was fondling spray painted pool noodles while mumbling to herself, Booker kissed Fiona one last time and took off towards her apartment.

Chapter 11

Booker’s head sky rocketed off the couch when Fiona shut the door to her apartment. She couldn’t help but laugh at the startled look on his face.

“Jesus, you scared the piss out of me.”

Fiona set her purse and jacket down and straddled Booker’s lap. “I’m sorry, handsome. I didn’t mean to.”

Booker looked at his phone and then looked back at Fiona. “It’s almost dinnertime. I thought you were only going to be an hour or so.”

“I know, I’m sorry. I got caught up at The Sleeping Potato, helping out the boys.”

“You should have said something. I would have gone over there to help. I feel like a dick for sleeping while everyone is working so hard.”

“You looked like hell; you needed the sleep,” Fiona joked, while she played with Booker’s hair.

God, she’d missed him. She missed everything about him, the way he smelled like all man, the way his blue eyes cut through her very soul, and the way he looked at her as if she was the reason why he was breathing. Why she thought she wanted anyone but him was beyond her. She was foolish; she was just glad nothing had happened between her and Murphy because she would be shooting herself in the foot right now if it had.

She was happy that she didn’t tell Booker to go over to The Sleeping Potato because, true to his word, Murphy was there helping set up tents, outdoor heaters, and work stations for when the weather warmed a little and they were ready to get started on rebuilding. Knowing Warblers Point, the wonderful community they lived in, the rebuild would only take a couple of days to complete.

“I still wish you would have told me about where the guys were. I feel like a shithead.”

Fiona kissed his lips. “Don’t worry about it.”

She shifted on his lap and was pleasantly surprised when she felt Booker’s desire poke through his jean-clad lap.

Fiona quirked an eyebrow at him and he, in exchange, gave her a wicked grin.

“You know you’re in trouble young lady.”

“Why’s that?” Fiona asked, while nibbling his jaw. She’d always enjoyed a little bit of scruff on a guy, but she couldn’t get over Booker’s clean-cut look. He was so smooth, it was nice not to have sandpaper lips by the end of the night.

“Care to explain what happened to your bedroom?”

Fiona laughed into Booker’s cheek as she continued to kiss his face and slowly grind his lap, making his arousal become more prominent.

“Bradon,” was all Fiona said, while she continued to taste her boyfriend.

“Are you sure you’re not hiding something?” Booker said, while tickling her sides.

“You wish!” Fiona said, while taking her shirt off.

Booker’s eyes widened as he took her all in.

“And what do you think you’re doing, missy?” Booker asked, while feeling her bare sides with his hands.

Warmth spread through Fiona’s body at his simple touch. Booker did that to her; he warmed her up and melted her instantly. He was the only man who was able to make her feel every little touch, every little nerve spike with pleasure and every ounce of love he had for her.

“I’m trying to fuck my boyfriend who seems to want to talk instead of bone his girl.”

Booker threw his head back and laughed. “You’ve been hanging out with your brothers way too long.”

“Stop talking,” Fiona said, as she reached for Booker’s shirt and pulled it over his head.

Once his shirt was over his head, Fiona was able to take in the muscular contours of Booker’s body. Murphy was buff, but where Murphy was burlier, Booker was cut. He was so damn hot, it was hard to look at him. Fiona’s mouth watered as she traced the indents of Booker’s abs. How she was so lucky to have a man like Booker was beyond her.

“You’re so hot,” Fiona said, as she shimmied off of Booker’s lap and got down between his legs. She grabbed his belt buckle and started undoing it while licking her lips.

“Babe, you keep looking at me like a damn Popsicle and I am going to explode before you get your first lick in.”

“What did I say about talking?” Fiona asked, as she pulled down his pants and boxers all in one sweep.

“Do more of it?” he asked with a little boy grin.

Fiona nibbled on his inner thigh as she worked her way toward his hardened erection.

“Hey! Watch it woman!” Booker said, as he squirmed from her love bites.

Fiona hovered over his erection as she looked up at him. She lightly stuck her tongue out and barely licked the tip of his surging cock. He nearly jumped off of the sofa at her touch.

“Jesus, woman!”

“You want to keep talking?” she asked, as she barely touched him again, making him squirm uncontrollably.

“Damn it. No!”

“Seems like you do,” Fiona said, while lightly licking his top again.

She watched as Booker’s chest raised quickly from him trying to catch his breath. She loved that she was able to torment an incredibly sexy man…that she could make him quake in his seat and beg for mercy. She felt so empowered.

A fine sweat started to spread over Booker’s body as his dick sought release. Fiona barely stroked his tip again, this time he wasn’t taking it. In no time flat, Fiona found herself spread across the floor, sans clothes, and her arms pinned above her head.

“You have been a very bad girl, Fiona O’Leary.”

“Still, with the talking.”

Booker gave her a wicked grin as he ran his hand down to her core where he gently ran one finger along her slit. She was incredibly wet from the torture she’d instilled upon Booker and, even though she was trying to tease him, she teased herself too because she was ready for him. She needed him inside of her and, if she didn’t have him soon, she thought she would explode.

“You’re so wet, baby.”

“I’ve missed you,” she said sincerely.

Booker inserted his fingers inside of her, making her entire body shudder from pleasure. His fingers curled up and hit that spot only few men knew about. He continued to stroke her and curl his fingers, building that undeniable pressure that would bring her an intense amount of pleasure.

As he continued to press up, his lips made their way down to her breasts and sucked on each nipple like it was the last time he would ever be able to touch her breasts. All the different sensations that were running through her body were starting to collide together. She didn’t think she could take it anymore, she was going to fall over. Her toes started to curl and her inner core started to contract. At that moment, Booker pulled away, leaving her on the edge, barely tipping over, wanting to fall into oblivion.

“Oh fuck!!! Booker please, what the hell are you doing?” Fiona heard herself beg, actually beg. Good God, what had come over her?

“Not so funny now is it?”

“I swear to God Booker, if you don’t finish me off, I am going to stick your dick so far up your ass…”
