My hand reached for hers, I got in and closed the door behind me, drowning out the barrage of questions outside.

“Ready when you are, Steve.”

Chapter Four

M
y fingers dug into the leather car seat; it took everything I had not to give in to my rage, to confront and pummel those who had terrified Aimee.

“We’ll be safer in London,” I said, almost trying to convince myself.

“Closer to Adrianna, you mean?” Aimee spat from the other side of the back seat; her earlier mood had returned. Her shoulder pressed up against the interior door frame, as far away from me as possible.

“Aimee…”

“Don’t deny it Lex, I saw the photos.”

“Phoebe told you?” I asked.

Her brows knitted together, and she turned to face me.

“No. What do you mean?”

“Nothing. It doesn’t matter.” Now wasn’t the time to tell her about my risqué encounter with her best friend this morning, which would only cause me more trouble.

She turned back to the window and resumed giving me the silent treatment.
Great… if she wasn’t spoiling for a fight, she was ignoring me.

“Aimee, what do I have to do to prove to you I’m not getting back together with Adrianna? I’m not even remotely interested in her. Can’t you tell I want you, and only you?”

Aimee’s shoulders twitched upwards in a shrug. Why wouldn’t she believe me?

“You can’t really have me, though, can you?” she muttered.

I have to make this right, I thought; we can’t keep on the way we’ve been living the last few months. Hidden away from sight. I wanted to shout from the rooftops how much she meant to me. But we’d just end up being the next scandal, splashed across the tabloids for the whole world to see and judge.

The only way to have her, for her to be completely mine, was to press forward with a plan that had every chance of making us or breaking us. Could I take that risk? I had to, or I’d regret it forever.

“Fine. But Aimee,” I said, and she glanced over, “I’ll make all this right, you and me, I’ll fix it… one way or another.”

***

For the rest of the journey to London, Aimee spoke barely another word. It was the longest two hours of my life. And every time I tried to think of a way to comfort her, I chickened out. I wanted to take her in my arms and stroke her till she moaned my name, till she forgave me for coming into her life and turning it upside down.

I thought back to our first night together; I should have left the apartment the moment I saw her. Should have left her to her own devices – she’d had plans that summer. But I stole those precious months; I stole her freedom. But dammit, she stole my heart.

Things needed to change, that was blatantly obvious. I needed to change for the better. Yet before I could move to become the man Aimee needed, the man she deserved, I had to make sure we could be together in peace.

Steve slowed the car as we pulled into the street leading to the Queen’s Mews. An armed guard stepped from the security house, which was decorated in Christmas greenery, and approached the car. A stone’s throw from the Palace, the road was one of the safest in the country, with its bollards raised high acting as a formidable deterrent and countless numbers of CCTV cameras disguised along the tree–lined street.

Aimee perked up as the guard took note of the license plate. It was interesting to watch her reaction, the puzzlement that clouded her face. This would be the first time I’d brought her to my home, the first time I’d had the courage to.

“Where are we?” she asked, breaking her silence.

“The safest place we can be,” I replied as our driver provided the necessary credentials to allow us to pass through. Aimee watched as the cylindrical bollards slid down slowly into their stony homes within the ground. The car moved through and proceeded down the quiet street, passing lines of faraway white houses – mansions nestled behind glistening black railings – towards Chamberlin House.

“Wow,” she breathed as the car pulled into the gravelled drive. Small box hedges decorated with sparkling but tasteful fairy–lights lined our way along the path. The squat, square house towered over us as we stepped out of the vehicle.

My father had done his best to retain the house’s original features, but after my mother passed away, he no longer wanted to look at the place, let alone live in it.

“Is this all yours?” she asked, stunned. Her eyes were wide with wonder.

I nodded.

And just then she smiled at me, making my heart thud. I could almost claim that my knees trembled, but guys don’t get weak knees.

“Just give me a second, and I’ll show you around,” I said as I walked her into the foyer.

“Why? Where are you going?” Her voice was strained; she was anxious not to be left alone.

“Business. Nothing to worry about. Just need to talk to Steve. I promise I’ll be right back.”

“The driver?” she frowned.

“Oh, Steve is more than just a driver.” I winked at her and leaned in for a kiss. Her sweet breath mingled with mine, the taste of summer strawberries in winter. I broke off and walked back towards the gravelled drive, quickly glancing at her over my shoulder while she studied the twin curving staircases in awe. I didn’t want her out of my sight, but I needed to set my plan in motion.

Making sure Aimee wouldn’t hear our conversation, I pulled the heavy front door to. Steve was waiting, immaculate in his pressed uniform, by the car; he hadn’t yet put it in the garage. It was as if he knew exactly when I might need him.

“Steve, remember that matter we discussed not so long ago?” I asked, keeping my voice low.

“Sir,” he said and nodded his understanding.

“I didn’t find anything last night, my investigative skills are not up to scratch. So, I need you to start digging. Find anything to our advantage.”

“Fair enough, but surely your father’s lawyers have already done their due diligence?”

“I’m sure they don’t have your connections, though,” I replied.

“That’s possibly true, sir.” He paused, thinking two steps ahead. “And what if your father –”

“Forget my father. If he finds out, he’ll get over it.” I hoped.

Steve nodded; his loyalty lay with me. “I’ll let you know what I find.”

“Oh, and Steve. If you fail to find anything… just use your imagination instead.”

“Understood.”

Chapter Five

I
slipped my arms around her waist and buried my face momentarily beneath her hair. Why did she have to smell so goddamn delicious all the time?

“So, what do you think?”

Aimee leaned back and laced her fingers through mine. Electricity sparked up my arms, reaching out to every other cell in my body, awakening my lust for her all over again. Down below, between my legs I felt a familiar stirring.

“It’s amazing. And huge!”

“Are we still talking about the house?” I asked and pushed my hips forward into her soft behind. There was no mistaking the elephant that had suddenly made an appearance in the room.

She gasped, swirled around to face me and slapped me on the arm.

“I take that as a no then?”

“Shut up and kiss me,” she said.

“Interesting, you’re speaking to me again,” I teased.

“I don’t want to talk, you idiot.”

Her head tilted up, and my hands found their way through the tendrils of her loose locks. I gathered her hair at the base of her neck, at the root – keeping her head fixed in place. My mouth swept down upon her like an eagle diving for its prey before she could even close her eyes in anticipation.

Aimee moaned as our tongues, warm and slippery, twirled and sucked, igniting within us both a desperate need. We each fought for control, but after a gentle tug by the hand that held her hair, Aimee arched backwards and submitted to my deep kiss.

I needed her right then and began to lead her forward, dancing her towards the bottom of the staircase.

Pulling at her shirt, I fiddled to open the minuscule buttons and said, “You’re not going to slip away from me this time.”

Her mouth parted, and an amused laugh escaped. She took her plump bottom lip and held it hostage between her teeth, biting down, playing with it, making my balls ache.

“And what if I said no?” she teased, as she held onto my tie, forcing my ear closer to her mouth.

The shudder that went through me was unlike anything I’d experienced before.

“Say no again, I dare you.”

Aimee nibbled my earlobe, and my eyes rolled back into their sockets as my cock pulsed harder, beating an aching rhythm like a drum against the trouser material.

“No,” she whispered.

That was it. I let her go and yanked my tie from around my neck. Nothing was going to stop me now.

She squealed, and I let her free from my grasp. Aimee ran halfway up the marble staircase before I was able to catch her.

“Where do you think you’re going?” I said as I looped the silk binding around her wrists. Carefully, while keeping a tight hold on Aimee, I eased our bodies down onto the steps. I slid us closer to the iron banister, and with her arms high above her head, I tied her to an upright rail a couple of steps above us. Her body was forced to lie flat against the hard, protruding steps; the edges dug into to her shoulder blades and the small of her back.

“What if your staff see us?” she asked, her eyes wide.

“Shh… they’re not here – they’re gone for the holidays.”

Aimee tested the strength of the knot, squirming to and fro, but she sighed and gave up when she realised the bindings were secure, and she wasn’t going anywhere.

She pouted, giving me sexy–sad eyes.

“Let me go… let me touch it.”

I ignored her pleas as best I could and pushed thoughts of her silky hands caressing my thick shaft to the very corners of my mind.

“I want your tongue first.”

As if it were summoned, her teasing tongue appeared. With a click, I slid my belt from around my waist and discarded it; the metal buckle clattered as it tumbled down the marble steps before coming to a halt.

My trousers fell around my ankles and I stepped out, digging a hand beneath the thick elastic of my boxers to release my cock from its binding.

I pushed Aimee’s legs apart and a patch of black flashed from beneath her skirt.

I moved to fill the empty space; the tips of my shoes rubbed and nestled against the very tops of her thighs. Her body managed to shuffle down slightly, stretching against her bonds so her mound could graze against the hardness of my shoe.

As I leaned over her, I reached for the edges of her shirt that lay against her partially revealed cleavage. I needed to see her. With no attempt to undo the tiny buttons, I ripped her blouse away to expose the milky tops of her breasts encased within her bra. I laid my hand flat upon her breastbone, worked my fingers under her bra and coerced the cups towards her neck. Her tits blissfully bounced out; her nipples were erect and begged to be sucked. Between thumb and forefinger I rolled her rigid nub and squeezed.

“Harder,” she cried.

I pinched again, and her cry of pleasure deepened my desire to fill her mouth with my cock as she moaned.

Leaning over her, I stabilised myself with my hands resting upon the steps above her head. My cock swung dangerously close to her mouth, and she craned her neck to lick at the air in attempt to bring it to her wet, wanting hole, which was ready to swallow and devour me.

“Beg me for it,” I demanded.

“I want it, I do.” Aimee licked her lips again.

“Not good enough,” I said, moving my hips farther away from her mouth.

She moaned as I pressed the tip of my foot against the fabric of her knickers.

“Beg.”

“Please, let me have it.”

Damn, I couldn’t resist much longer, I thought.

“I want you to fuck my mouth,” she said, trying harder to get what she wanted.

That was it. My will broke.

“Dirty girl, open up.”

Aimee eagerly widened her mouth, stretching her lips into a perfect O, getting it ready for me. The head of my cock bumped against her lips, and I hissed at the sensitivity. Soon her tongue tangled around my shaft as I slipped within her.
