Jennifer got out of the jacuzzi and wrapped herself in a towel. Bruce walked to her and pressed her against his hard body.

“Do you enjoy your honeymoon,
Mrs. Wilson
?”

“It’s perfect. You’re the best.”

“That’s because you deserve it. I love you...”

Chapter Seven

J
ennifer followed Bruce inside the yacht and took the stairs to go down. She was wearing an elegant evening gown with high heels and a pearl necklace with matching earrings. Bruce was dressed with a white linen shirt with khaki pants, and looked more casual, but still chic. He led her to a door at the end of a long corridor, and before opening it, he stopped and looked at her.

“You’re going to love this,” he said with a grin.

Jennifer raised an eyebrow but said nothing. Bruce had lots of surprises for her and she knew she could trust him. He turned the door knob and pushed the door open. Jennifer was dumbfounded. There was a boat inside the yacht. She walked inside what looked like a mini-pier where the speed boat was waiting for them. Bruce pushed a button and the wall in front of them started to move like a garage door. Bruce took Jennifer’s hand and invited her to board the boat. He then followed her inside and opened a door that led to the navigating controls.

“You can also drive a boat?” She said incredulous.

“yes but small ones only and because we’re near the shore.”

Bruce started to engine and slowly moved the boat outside to the sea. Jennifer realized they were at the end of the yacht, on the left hand side. Once they were far enough, Bruce pushed the remote lever forward and the speed boat accelerated. Jennifer had to hold on tight but she liked it. It was a lot of fun and very exciting. They would arrive in France by boat with style and have dinner at a five-star restaurant.

Tonight, it was Jennifer’s turn to sit down and enjoy a wonderful evening. She wouldn’t have to cook and care for others. Tonight, it was all about love. She and Bruce were here to celebrate.

The shore was much further than it looked. It took them forty-five minutes to finally arrive and toward the end, Bruce had been forced to slow down due to the impressive amount of other boats. Therefore, Jennifer started to feel nausea and dizzy.

“I think I’m seasick,” she said, closing her eyes and pressing her hand against her forehead.

“I’m sorry. We’re almost there. Take deep breaths and look ahead, far away. Yes, like this. Look at something and keep looking at it.”

Jennifer followed his instructions and felt slightly better but couldn’t wait to jump on the ground. When they arrived, she couldn’t walk straight, as if she was drunk. Bruce laughed and held her arm.

“We’re not in a hurry,” he said. “Take your time.”

After ten minutes, she told him she felt better and they walked to a parking lot, filled with sports cars and luxury sedans. It seemed like a car rental company for wealthy clients.

“Wait here for me,” Bruce said, helping her to sit on a bench. She saw him with a man, probably a salesman, and Bruce gave him his passport and Amex black card. Then, they shook hands and Bruce disappeared behind a door. A few minutes later, she heard the loud roar of a powerful engine and a beautiful car approached. Bruce lowered the window and called Jennifer.

“Come on princess,” he said playfully. “Get in.”

Jennifer joined him inside and saw the logo of the car. It was written Aston Martin. She knew this brand.

“Is it James Bond’s car?” she said.

“Yes it is.”

Bruce pressed the pedal and propelled the vehicle forward with a loud bang. Jennifer remembered the night when Victoria had let her drive her Ferrari and she was now dying to repeat the same experience.

“Will you let me drive it?” She asked.

Bruce hesitated for a moment. “After dinner, if you still feel like it...”

They stopped at the valet parking of the restaurant and Bruce gave the keys to a young man wearing a uniform. The place wasn’t too sophisticated. It gave Jennifer the warm feeling of a family-owned restaurant where the chef would know each client personally. The crowd, however, was definitely upscale. Jennifer could tell they were surrounded by rich and famous people. She paid close attention and even recognized a few celebrities sitting in different corners.

Bruce ordered the best of the best for the two of them. They had caviar, lobsters, oysters, shrimps, crabs and more. Jennifer tasted some of the most delicate and refined wines she’d ever tried. It was so sweet and subtle that she could barely feel the alcohol.

Bruce and Jennifer had a great time. A small band of violinists played near their table just for them and covered her with roses. Jennifer completely forgot her worries in New York and spent one of the most relaxing and satisfying moment of her life. It was truly an incredible night.

After dinner, they walked hand in hand along the beach to digest and enjoy the view. There was something special about that place that seemed to make everything beautiful. Jennifer could perfectly picture herself living in such a place if she was ever given the chance.

“It’s getting late,” Bruce finally said. “Are you ready to go?”

Jennifer took a deep breath and looked around. “How long are we going to stay?”

“A week or two, I guess. We’ll come back, don’t worry.”

“Okay. In that case, yes, let’s go.”

They walked back to the restaurant and waited at the valet parking.

“I want to drive,” she said. “You promised me.”

“All right, no problem.”

Jennifer sat on the driver’s seat and adjusted the mirrors. She felt less intimidated than the first time with Vicky, but she could still feel the adrenaline quicken her heart beats.

“I don’t want to go back to the yacht right now,” she said. “Let’s explore the area...”

Bruce nodded. “I like that. Good idea. No destination in particular, then?”

“Nope. We have a GPS, right?”

“Yes.”

“So we can come back to the pier easily.”

“Correct. Let’s have fun.”

Jennifer drove very slowly at first. The car was very big and large, and she could feel how powerful it was when she accelerated. Moreover, the roads were very narrow compared with the US and it was hard to evaluate whether or not she was still on her lane. In the end, she managed to drive aimlessly for an hour. There were lots of hills and mountain roads around, with many curves. Jennifer couldn’t drive very fast and cruised at a very reasonable speed. They had no idea where they were but it was part of the fun. They were on vacation, celebrating their honeymoon, and it felt good to have a bit of adventure outside the perfectly predictable routine they had in New York.

“I guess we should go home now,” she said after a while. They hadn’t met many cars and she started to feel nervous. It was too calm, too quiet and they were in the middle of nowhere.

Bruce typed in the GPS location of the car rental company and pressed the validate button. “Here we go,” he said. “You just have to listen to the charming digital voice now.”

Jennifer looked in the rear-view mirror and made a U-turn. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a car arrived at full speed in front of them in the opposite direction. Jennifer heard the other car honking and quickly turned the steering wheel. She managed to avoid the other car and but lost control of the vehicle. The Aston Martin was too powerful and drifted left, right, left and right again. Jennifer felt her heart beat faster and louder than ever. Her eyes opened wide as she saw the cliff in front of them approaching dangerously. And then, a shock and nothing.

Jennifer grunted and slowly opened one eye, then the second one. She was groggy and light headed. She couldn’t remember what had happened. She turned to her right and saw Bruce, unconscious. Then, it came back. The accident.

“Bruce! Bruce!” She said, in panic. She unbuckled her seat belt and touched his neck, looking for a pulse. He was still alive. She kept calling him and shook his body, but he didn’t wake up. She decided to slap him. Once, then twice. Bruce finally opened his eyes.

“What the hell, Jen? It hurts...”

“Thank God, you’re okay. We had an accident, do you remember?”

Bruce grunted and looked around. “Yeah, I remember. That bastard just ran away?”

“Yes but at least, we’re safe. I think I’m okay,” she said, touching her legs, her shoulders and her head. “Are you okay?”

Bruce did the same to check his body and nodded. “Yeah, I’m fine. Thanks to the airbags...”

“We have to call for help. Do you have a number to call?”

“Yes.” Bruce took his cell-phone out of his pocket but sighed. “Shit...”

“What? It’s broken?”

“No. There’s no signal. We must be in a very remote area in the mountains or something.”

“Oh no, my God. What are we going to do?”

“I think we just have to walk. There’s nothing we can do. We can’t wait here. Nobody is going to come and help us.”

Jennifer didn’t like the idea of walking in the middle of the night in a foreign country but Bruce was right. They got out of the car and had to make a decision. There were two directions only, but they didn’t know which one to take. Since it was fifty-fifty, they chose one randomly and started to walk. Jennifer was holding her high heels in her hands and walked bare foot on the cold road.

They walked in silence for forty minutes before a car finally crossed their path. Bruce and Jennifer raised their hands in the air and waved at the driver frantically. It was their only chance to get some help. Jennifer hoped and prayed that they wouldn’t meet some kind of psychopath or serial killer. It was pretty far-fetched but it could happen. At least, she wasn’t alone and Bruce wouldn’t let anything bad happen to them.

The car passed them, slowed down and stopped. Bruce and Jennifer ran and saw a couple. Jennifer sighed of relief. They looked absolutely normal and friendly, and were about Bruce’s age.

“Excuse-me,” Bruce said to the man. “We had an accident and we are lost. Can you help us please?”

“Sure,” the man said. “Get in.”

“Thank you very much,” Jennifer said, as she and Bruce climbed in the car.

“However, we are going to a party,” the man said. “We can’t really do anything for you, especially at this time. You’ll probably have to wait until tomorrow morning.”

Bruce nodded. “That’s fine with us, sir. Drop us anywhere you like, as long as we can call for a taxi to get home.”

The woman turned to look at them and stared at Bruce in particular. She looked at him with intensity and Jennifer thought that it wasn’t appropriate at all, but what could she do?

Then, the woman looked at the man and said something in French to him. He replied something and they kept talking for a few minutes. Bruce had noticed their little conversation and like Jennifer, he felt uncomfortable.

“We really don’t want to be a burden for you, guys. We just need to get back to civilization.”

“We’re cool,” the man said. “We were actually wondering if you’d like to come with us to the party.”

Jennifer and Bruce looked at each other and shrugged. Why not? They couldn’t go anywhere anyway. It was an opportunity to try something different with French people and it could be interesting.

“We’d love to,” Bruce said. “That’s very kind of you, we really appreciate. I’m Bruce by the way, and this is Jennifer.”

“Nice to meet you guys,” the man said. “I’m Marc and this is my wife, Jeanne. Where are you from?”

“We’re from New York,” Bruce said.

“Wow, two New Yorkers joining us for a little party. This is going to be great!”

“I hope so,” Bruce said, as he took Jennifer’s hand. He kissed her and rubbed her shoulders. “Don’t worry, we’re fine, baby.”

The car stopped in front of an old building with no lights outside. There were many cars parked but it didn’t seem very lively. Jennifer frowned and looked at Bruce; he was thinking the same thing.

“Excuse-me,” Bruce said. “What kind of party is it?”

“Are you open minded?” The woman said, staring at Bruce again. She was definitely flirting with him.

“What do you mean?” Jennifer said.

“Well... don’t you want to see for yourself?” The man said.

Bruce and Jennifer followed the French couple in the building. It was dark inside and they could now hear some music upstairs. Marc and Jeanne led the way to the main room where a few couples were dancing, but Jennifer was stopped in her tracks when she realized what they were really doing. She squeezed Bruce’s hand.

“Baby? What is this place?”

“I have no idea,” he said. They both looked around, eyes wide opened and their jaws dropping to the floor. Then, Bruce nodded.

“I think I know where we are,” he finally said.

“Where are we?”

“It’s a sex club for swingers...”
