“I’m getting used to it. How scary is that?” He headed for the door. “Breakfast offer is still good. I want to hear what else Creed told you.”

She stood up and went after her boss. “He didn’t say a helluva lot.”

“Always was a reticent bastard,” Garcia grumbled. He stopped in the doorway and turned. Glancing around the office nervously, he asked: “You think he heard that?”

She shrugged. “How do I know?”

isn’t a good answer. We’ve got to work on polishing this particular talent of yours, Cat.”

Slipping on her shades, she followed him out of the cellar and up the stairs. “We’ve got time. I’m not going anywhere.”
