Carrie Ryan

John Shirley
is the award-winning author of many novels and numerous short stories. The setting for “Rooftown” first appeared in his novel

. As a screenwriter, he is best known for co-writing
The Crow

but he’s also written for animated series including

William Sleator
has written over thirty books. They are mostly science fiction but are now veering toward fantasy. He divides his time between homes in rural Thailand
near the Cambodian border and Boston, Massachusetts. His best friend is a fisherman in Thailand, named Supan, who you will find in his story, albeit it in a different guise.

Maria V. Snyder
is the
New York Times
best-selling author of the fantasy Study Series (
Poison Study

Magic Study

) about a
young woman who becomes a poison taster. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Maria dreamed of chasing tornados and earned a degree in meteorology from Penn State University. Unfortunately, she
