The Fenshilla commandant had just walked onto the bridge of the nearest cruiser to his flagship when an urgent message was relayed from the platoon commander.

‘We are pressing forward and the humans are finally being defeated, we will enter the reactor rooms….’

The commandant looked over at the main view screen as he waited for the platoon commander to speak again. His worst fears were realised as a titanic explosion occurred in space nearby as his flagship exploded. The commander of his rescue ship had been prepared for this occurrence, and the shields of the cruiser flashed dangerously for several moments as they fought to keep the ship from destruction.

The commandant looked at the main view screen in anger and disbelief as the scattered and glowing wreckage of his flagship tumbled in space nearby. A short time later the remaining Fenshilla cruisers resumed their long journey home to their Black Claw pirate bases.

Millen watched the three remaining cruisers leave from the safety of a hyper drive point many millions of kilometres distant from the recent explosion. She knew that she would have to find a way of getting the news of the last defiant act of Freya and her crew to the rulers of her clan. The Fenshilla females, slaves no longer, began their own long journey to their distant Silver Guards home worlds.
