“Perhaps…”

“In exchange for your undying love and devotion, you can have me, whenever and wherever you want.”

“Hmmm…” he said. “It does sound rather enticing. But I’m afraid after careful consideration, I’m still going to have to reject your proposition.”

“On what grounds?” she asked, apparently questioning the wisdom of her playful game.

“While I do enjoy your delicious body,” he said, running his hand down the length of her, past her waist and cupping her round buttocks in his hand, “it’s not enough.”

“Not enough? Why? I said you could have me whenever and wherever you want. What more could you possibly ask for?”

“Your heart, Kat. I want all of you, which means your body, mind, and heart.” Kat stared into his eyes and saw he was serious. He needed to hear her say it.

“You already have my heart. You silly man, you’ve had it since you walked into my drawing room to invite me to your stupid ball.”

“I thought it wasn’t until you found out I was a big fat liar,” he said laughing.

“No, that’s when I realized it. But I think I was lost to you the moment I laid eyes on you. I love you, Geoff.”

“I love you more, Katherine,” he said gently kissing her lips.

“Okay then, I believe we have ourselves an arrangement.”

“Yes, since that is the case, I will take this opportunity to seal this agreement,” he said, a hungry look in his eyes.

“Yes, please,” she said.

The duke took his time undressing his new bride, a wedding gift to himself. He unfastened each hairpin until her dark curls tumbled over her shoulders. Her buried his face in her hair and breathed in the scent of her. She smelled like a treacle tart and home.

He unfastened her blue gown and slid it off her body. Then he pushed the silk chemise over her knees until it flowed around her like a river of silk.

“Now yours,” she said, reaching up to unbutton the white shirt, stopping to brush her hands across the hard plane of his chest. She kissed his shoulders and started unbuttoning his trousers. He sprang free, long and hard as she grabbed his member between her hands and started to stroke him.

He pushed his hand between them and started toying with her… massaging her body back and forth until she started to pant. “Yes, Geoff, oh yes.” He found her warm and wet, inviting him to plunge inside of her.

Geoff pulled her on top of him so she straddled his legs. “I want you to mount me.”

“I’m not sure how,” she said.

“Here, I will show you.” He lifted her hips and positioned her opening directly above his shaft and then pushed her down on top of him.

“Oh my,” Kat exclaimed.

“Yes, darling. I want you to ride me. Take your pleasure.” Kat started to rock on top of him, slowly at first and then finding her rhythm. She leaned forward and the angle sent extraordinary tingles throughout her body. He teased and mouthed her nipple and sucked on it until she rode him to a sweet, hot climax.

Afterward, he curled around her body, spooning them together. He ran his hand in lazy circles over the gentle slope of her hips, letting his fingers fall in and out of the valleys.

“I shall never tire of your body,” he said.

“Never? What about when I am huge with a child?”

“Especially when you are huge with a child.”

“Does that mean you want to have children?” She was surprised because they hadn’t discussed the topic before. Theirs had not exactly been have a traditional courtship.

Geoff turned to face her. “Katherine, I can barely wait to start a family with you. I want to help you raise an entire brood of children. I’ll cherish the day when I’m tripping over toys and crawling babies. Especially if they are ours.”

“Do you really mean it?”

“Absolutely. I love children. And I will love our children even more.”

“Good,” she said, blushing. “Because I don’t think you will have to wait very long,” she answered.

“Do you mean…?”

“Let’s hope none of our wedding guests are very good at math,” Kat said smiling.

About the Author

Elizabeth Chance’s romance novel addiction started when she was just a teen. One fateful evening she found one of her mother’s novels lying around and stayed up all night to finish it. She’s been hooked ever since, voraciously reading anything with a happy ending. Now she’s crafting her own stories and sharing them with other fans of love.

Elizabeth is married to her own Prince Charming, a bearded hipster with a sci-fi habit. They live in Southern California with their adorable (and pudgy) baby boy and tabby cat named Napoleon.
