Anglo-Saxon individuals and communities who were not Christian and who followed native religions and beliefs. Archaeologically, pagan Saxons are identified from the north–south orientation of their graves, the range of grave goods buried with the dead including weapons with men and jewellery with women, buckets, hanging bowls, toilet sets, girdle hangers, and pots. Broadly dating to the period ad 450–650.
