An epipalaeolithic industry dating to between 10500 and 6000 bc and found at sites in and around the Zagros Mountains of Iran and Iraq. Initially defined in relation to finds from the cave site of Zarzi in northern Iraq, excavated by Dorothy Garrod in 1928, the industry is characterized by notched blades and backed blades.

Polish antiquary specializing in research into the Palaeolithic. Between 1873 and 1886 he excavated at the Upper Palaeolithic levels in the Mamutowa Cave on the Kluczwoda River north of Krokow in southern Poland.

Zebbug. Phase

A phase of the pre-temple Neolithic on Malta provisionally dated to 4100–3800 bc. The term is derived from a small cemetery at Zebbug. where five rock-cut tombs were discovered.

Late regional substyle of linear pottery characterized by angular incised lines relieved by lozenge-shaped incisions. Found mainly in Slovakia, Moravia, and southern Poland. Dates to about 4000 bc.
