“Thanks Vanessa, but I still need to see for myself.”

They gave it their best shot, trying to talk me out of it with no luck. I guess they got tired of butting their heads against the wall because it wasn’t long before Gaby was on my side. I should’ve done some rethinking after that happy event. It’s a given that anything Gaby’s involved in is bound to blow up in our faces, but I wasn’t exactly in my right frame of mind.

“You can’t be serious, don’t encourage her.” There was a ring of unease in Vanessa’s voice. “Tell me, how do you geniuses plan to get off the property huh? Did you see how fast Cord was on your ass this afternoon? Did you even stop to think how he knew you were gone before you even turned the corner?”

“She’s got a point damn.” Gaby bit her nails and went into deep thought. We spent the next half an hour arguing about the best course of action. It was obvious that the place was under heavy security but there had to be some way to get out of here.

When we started to get too carried away Vanessa decided if she couldn’t fight us she might as well join us, which was a good thing, because she knew a little about the way the men think.

“Okay, there might be a way but if any of you tell Zak I had anything to do with this I’ll never speak to you again.”

We spent the next hour or so finalizing the details. I was already nervous enough before Gaby and Dani decided they should come along as backup. “Oh no, I’m not risking that. Besides, wouldn’t it be easier for one of us to get out than all three?”

I was waiting for one of the other two to agree but no such luck. “The guys would want us to stick together.”

“Yeah Gaby, but what if something goes wrong?”

“Well why the hell would you be going if you expected something to go wrong?” She had a point; still.

“But you’re pregnant…”

“Weren’t you the one who just said we were basically sheep?” I knew my big mouth would come back to bite me in the ass.

There was no talking them out of it and time was a wasting. I had no idea how long Cord’s snit would last. He could show up any minute. Vanessa refused to let us see what she was doing with the alarm she swore was on the gate. “Why can’t we know if you do?”

“Because I have enough sense not to use it unless absolutely necessary, the rest of you would probably use it to go shopping.” She looked at Gaby when she said that and got a sniff.

“I don’t know why you all think I’m such a dunce. Come on let’s go before Logan gets one of his ‘feelings’ and comes looking for me.” She’s right. It wasn’t just Cord that seemed to have a sixth sense, all the guys seemed to know when their women were up to something. For the longest time we thought Davey was the culprit but Vanessa assured us that he had nothing to do with it, the guys were just wired that way.

Ten minutes later, we were through the gate after much sneaking and trying to peep through windows. We knew they were still in the mansion, but since we couldn’t see inside we had no idea if they were watching us or not.

I didn’t say anything, but I had already changed my mind before we were out the gate. But once again, my mouth had got me in a predicament and I had to follow through. I sure wish I could’ve found a way to keep the others out of it though, but it was too late.

I didn’t breathe easy until we got through the gate without incident. Vicky had outright refused to do more than play lookout. I don’t know what excuse she planned to give if they found us missing, but she said she’d come up with something if it came to that.

“Don’t linger, in and out, we don’t know how much time we have.” That was Vanessa’s final warning before she closed the gate. The plan was to text her when we were on our way back since it would look rather suspicious if she hung around there too long.

I started panicking the minute we were on the road. I could tell from the stinted conversation of the other two that they weren’t too sure either. “Connor is going to have my ass if he ever hears about this. Why did I think this was a good idea again?”

Gaby looked back at the gate longingly, suddenly not so brave. “Are we sure no one’s out here? Oh crap what were we thinking? Whatever, it’s not like we can just walk back in like nothing happened anyway. We came this far we might as well keep it moving.”

I regretted every step I took and when the shadows fell over us, and Con and Lo was there like smoke, I breathed a sigh of relief. It was a stupid idea anyway. I’m not sure if the fact that they didn’t say anything other than to point us back the way we came was worse or not. But when Gaby took one hand and Dani the other I guess that was their way of giving me support.

No one said anything as we walked back through the gate where Davey was waiting. His face didn’t give much away but the fact that Cord wasn’t there spoke volumes.

Then I heard him and the anger in his voice made my knees buckle. I was too scared to move and he wrapped his big hand around my neck. Logan came and said something to him and the pressure was gone. I wasn’t sure what to be more afraid of, the fact that he was so pissed, or the fact that he’d walked away from me so easily.

Vicky and Vanessa were both wearing looks of surprise so I knew they hadn’t sold us out, not that I’d believed that anyway. So how had they known? Davey looked too worried for it to have been him and again that strange man was there, standing off to the side.

He had a small smile on his face and it kind of gave me hope that there hadn’t been any talk of skinning us girls alive, which is what I was sure Cord was gonna do to me this time. Twice in one day, what was I thinking?

Where had he gone? Had he just washed his hands of me? Why had I been so stupid? What made me think that I could defy him and walk away unscathed? Looking back now, I see that I was just leading with my hurt and stupidity. If he ever forgave me I will never do anything like this again.

I made that and a million other promises as I prayed that he wouldn’t leave me. Logan was reassuring me and I heard every word he said, but none of it mattered if Cord put me aside.

I looked around for him and my stomach dropped when I finally saw him in the shadows with his arms crossed and legs spread as if ready to go to battle. I couldn’t see his eyes, but I knew he was looking right at me.

Logan called Vicky and Vanessa over to where the rest of us were standing. The tic in his jaw was a dead giveaway that he was beyond pissed and I squeezed Gaby’s hand when she started rubbing her legs together nervously. Dani kept her head down, not even sparing Con a glance but the trembling in her hand spoke volumes.

“Start talking.” That was all Logan said and since no one else seemed inclined to I took the lead. “It’s my fault, it was my idea.” Even though he wasn’t Cord I was still a little afraid, they were all so damn…much. His voice was low and even, I did notice that, there was no yelling, no sign of anger. That only made my tummy hurt even more.

“And where is it that you were off to?”

“I just wanted to go see my mom, make sure she was okay after last night.”

“Did Cord not tell you that it was taken care of? I’m sure he would’ve told you that it wasn’t safe for you to go out there on your own. Did you think he was telling you that to hear himself speak?”

“No I didn’t, it’s just…” just what? He made it seem so simple that now I look at it I was being an ass. If that wasn’t bad enough I’d dragged everyone else into my mess with me.

“And you two, what was your part in all this?” Good old Gaby got her blood up. I guess she figured it was best to lead with her own anger at being treated like a child than to play the victim of whatever was coming.

“We were going along for support. We couldn’t just let her go alone, what kind of friends would we be?” I didn’t trust that look he gave her. “Tone.” That one word had her taking a step back and I think we all heard her swallow.

“It’s good that all of you stick together and look out for one another, but when you do it in this context, when you disobey a direct order and put yourselves in danger, what do you think us men who have sworn to protect you should do?”

None of us had any answers and Dani was about to have a heart attack. Connor, Zak, none of the others had said anything as yet and Cord was still in the shadows. Logan turned and looked in his direction before shaking his head with a loud sigh.

“Damn, okay Gabriella take her to the house let me go deal with my brother. And Susie, don’t ever do something like this again. Your little stunt has got all your sisters in a shitload of trouble and you, well, let’s hope the six of us can calm your man down some.” That didn’t sound too good.

CHAPTER 16

CORD

***

W
e were in the middle of a good laugh, a  much-needed one at Lyon’s expense, when the alarms started going nuts. Lo, Con and I looked at our phones at the same time. “Colton we’ll see you in a little bit we got a situation here.” Tyler looked at the three of us questioningly.

“What kinda situation?” He sounded like he thought he could get here in time to handle whatever it was even though he was hours away.

“Nothing to do with this brother. It looks like we gotta go run herd on the women, catch you later.” He muttered something about hardheaded females as the phone went dead.

He’d called Mancini to rip him a new one for siccing the mobster on his ass. It was fun listening to him go on and on about fucktard and whatnot, but once Mancini in his calm way convinced him that it was best for the kids he relented.

Like us he couldn’t just pick up and leave, not for a few days, he had shit to do to make sure things ran smooth while he was gone. He also had to take care of his parents and in laws and the old man we’d met over the holidays in the meantime. But since they weren’t in any imminent danger it was decided to just put eyes on them for now. I’m not sure what they were gonna do about school, but I’m sure between the lot of us we could come up with something.

Then the alarms went and the readout showed three of them outside the same damn gate as before. “How did they bypass the gate alarm?” Quinn fiddled with the comp to pull it up. “They didn’t, someone put a glitch in it. It looks like it’s still on, but it would’ve alerted in the next five minutes anyway.”

“Nessa, had to be. She’s the only one of them who would know how to do that. But she’s still on the grounds.”

“No, she set it up but it’s just our three that left the other two are here.” Connor said as we all headed for the door with Mancini bringing up the rear.

“You boys should be paying me to take you out of here. Your women don’t seem to listen so good.” I didn’t say anything because I was pretty sure who was behind this little stunt.

I guess I didn’t do a very good job of holding the growl in because Connor and Logan cornered me outside the door. “You stay here, we’ll bring her back.”

“Get out of my fucking way Logan.”

“Uh-uh soldier, you stand the fuck down. You know we can’t let you go after her like this and the longer we stand here dealing with you the longer our women are exposed. We’ll bring her back. You four sit on his ass if you have to we’ll be right back.” I didn’t even look at Zak or Ty when they came to flank me, or Dev and Quinn when they took up the rear.

I wasn’t about to show out in front of Mancini, he was still too new and in some part of me I knew that I really shouldn’t get too close to her right now, but I wasn’t happy about any of it.

I waited, holding my breath like an ass until they came back with her. I was moving on pure adrenaline now and knew that too was a dangerous thing. “Cord…” Zak reached for my arm when I walked away from their little power circle. Fuck that.

“Hey you, get your ass inside NOW.” She didn’t move fast enough so I grabbed her nape. “Cord…” I could break her fucking neck, that’s what was going through my head when my brother tried to pull me off her ass.

“Stay out of it Con.” He shook his head but moved aside after a five-minute stare down. They all knew to step the fuck off unless they wanted to make shit harder on her. Unlike Ty and the others, I won’t listen for shit when it comes to my woman. They know me well enough to know I would never hurt her, not physically anyway but I can see where they might be afraid that I’d bruise her heart.

Logan got between the two of us and whispered in my ear. “Not like this brother, you don’t wanna do this now.” He eased her away from me and passed her off to Gaby and Dani, which made me see red. He stepped back with his hands up. Enough to give me my space, but still kept himself between me and her. I moved, he moved.

I put my hand in his chest to push him back as the blood rushed in my ears. “Cord, work with me here.” He stopped pushing, and the fucker knew just the right tone to take to get me out of the zone I was heading into. I’ve never really heard it off the field though. That’s how I knew I was moving into dangerous fucking territory. I looked in his eyes and saw it. Fuck!

“I need a minute brother.” He relaxed when he realized I wasn’t going after her. I just needed to step away for a minute because I had become the danger. That shit didn’t even loosen up now that I knew she was safe. I still wanted to ring her fucking neck.

What if she hadn’t been wearing her tracer? What if the fuckers that were after her had sent in another detail? All of that ran through my head but nothing pissed me off more than the fact that she’d put herself in danger. Not even the fact that she’d disobeyed a direct order, or the fact that she’d put her sisters in danger as well. She had no concept of what the fuck she’d done. I warned her.

I cooled my heels while Logan read them the riot act, giving myself time to calm down enough that I didn’t strangle her misbehaving ass when I do get my hands on her. Logan sent her off to his place. I guess that was to give me more time to cool down. I didn’t say shit, just intercepted her as she walked between the women.

When Lo and Con called out to me this time it only took a look for them to stay the fuck out of it. They’re just gonna have to trust me. There were murmurings behind me but I paid them no mind. She looked back once and that shit pissed me off too. Did she think they could save her ass from me?

I had a tight hold on her arm as we walked across the yard to my place. I know her better than Lo ever would. She might seem to accept his words, but deep inside she was a hardheaded little pain in the ass who likes to push the boundaries.

The fact that she’d so blatantly disobeyed me in this was evidence that she hadn’t learned one fuck from today, and given half a chance, or better yet, if I pissed her off, she’d do that shit again.

It’s up to me to put the fear in her that would keep her from being so irrational, to keep her from making these stupid ass decisions that could get her killed. This is why I shouldn’t have taken her so soon. To disobey me while still in the learning stage was one thing, to disobey her Dom after he’d bent her, that was a fucking death sentence.

Once we were safe behind closed doors she tried making a run for it. “If you run, you’ll only make me hurt you more than I intended. If you stand and take your punishment like a good girl, I might take it easy on you, but you know the penalty for fucking disobeying me.”

She held her hand up as if to ward me off and that shit almost sent me over the edge. “Come here to me and don’t make me have to tell you twice.” She looked everywhere but at me, seeking her escape.

“Susie, what the fuck did I just say?” I knew the minute I saw her back go up that whatever good Lo’s words had done had worn off. That’s just the way she is, fight ‘til the end. Just like her old man.

“Fuck that Cord, I’m not your child. I’ve been taking care of myself for a very long time and I don’t need you or anyone else telling me…” She backed away from the look in my eyes, opened her mouth and screamed for Logan.

“Are you fucking crazy?” I heard them rush the door. “Lo you break down my door we’re gonna have problems.” I knew that shit wasn’t gonna work. And she knew ten seconds too late that she’d fucked up.

I kept my eyes on hers even as they broke down the door. I could tell from Lo’s expression that he knew she’d just made it worse for herself. “Cord, she’s young, she doesn’t know about these things…”

I didn’t even look at him or none of the others as they came in and stood in formation around her. I knew they were protecting her because she’s mine, but that didn’t make me any less pissed.

“Cord, let her go with the girls so we can talk.” Con came over and stood on my other side as I looked at her with no expression whatsoever on my face. Zak led her to the door as she looked back at me scared out of her fucking mind.

“Cord?” Now she was afraid to leave. I turned away from her, too fucking mad to speak. Now I’m not only mad at her for once again mouthing off at me, that I will not let go lightly, but she’d called out to another man to protect her from me. Little Susie would be lucky if she could walk again after I get through with her.

I listened as they each pleaded her case. I heard how young she was, how inexperienced she was in the relationship game and a whole lot of other bullshit that none of them would’ve given a fuck about if it had been their woman. Even Davey pleaded with me not to tan her ass, but it was all in vain.

While they were talking I was mapping out her punishment in my head. It was fucked that this came so soon on the heels of my taking her for the first time. But if I let this shit go I would do more harm than good.

Each of my brothers had a go at me. They did their best to bring me back from the brink but I didn’t even pretend to be listening to shit. I’d already gone to ice.

“Bring her back in here.” I left them to decide if their little intervention had worked or not. She came in looking like she was ready to take flight again, which would only amp up my rage. I waited until the others left before confronting her. “Let’s do this shit again.”

“Did I tell you not to leave the compound?” I found that the anger instead of abating had only grown worst in the few minutes she’d been gone from my sight.

“Yes.”

“Yes what?”

“Yes sir.”

“Come here.” She walked over to me looking a lot uncertain about herself now. There was no more fire. “Kneel.” I pointed to the spot between my legs on the floor. She knelt with her head down and her hands behind her back.

I grabbed a fistful of her hair and pulled. “Did you think hiding behind my brothers was gonna save your misbehaving ass? Don’t even fucking think about it.” She was eyeing the fucking door again. “Take out my rod.” I deceivingly used a smoother tone to throw her off. She released my hard cock from its cage and he bounced in her face before settling.

She perked right the fuck up and I saw her body relax and lose some of its stiffness. Poor thing, she had no idea what was coming. “Play with him, make me hard.” She took my fourteen inches in her hand and stroked playfully before sticking her tongue out to lick the pre-cum from my cockhead.

Using my hand in her hair to guide her I fucked my cock in and out of her mouth, feeding her more than I had before, going deeper with each stroke. I didn’t stop when she choked, didn’t ease up when pre-cum and spit ran down her chin and soaked her top.

When my balls were full I held her head still with my cock buried in her neck. “Look at me.” Her eyes were teary and her cheeks swollen. I tugged her hair harder as I felt my seed rise in my sac.

I came in her mouth hard, but there was no real pleasure in it for me. “Swallow it all.” She damn near choked and her eyes were popping out of her head at the force of my seed as it jetted into her mouth. Her throat worked overtime to catch it all but some still escaped the sides of her mouth.

I pulled my cock out her mouth and released my hold on her hair. “Let’s go.” I didn’t help her up, just turned and left her to follow me to the playroom. This time it was going to serve it’s other purpose.

“Remove your clothes.”

“Cord…” I grabbed her face and stared down at her. Let her see what the fuck she was dealing with. That this was not a game and I was in no mood to be fucked with.

“I did not give you permission to speak, neither did I say you may use my name.” She looked lost, she’d never seen this side of me before and I could tell it was starting to scare her. Good!

I got everything I would need together on the little table next to the bed before I walked back to where she was standing. I grabbed her hand and pulled her over to the bed.

She tried calling my name again and I grabbed her cheeks in a tight grip. “Not one more fucking word. I don’t want to hear my name on your lying lips.” I pushed her down on the bed and tied her in place. Her eyes followed my every move anxiously but I ignored her.

To make sure that I wouldn’t be moved by her screams or pleading I gagged her. She was spread out on the bed with her arms and legs tied to the posts and a ball gag in her mouth. Completely at my mercy! I didn’t look at her as I moved from the bed to the little table.

I had to disassociate myself. It isn’t easy when your heart is involved, but I stepped the fuck back and locked the fuck down. When I looked at her again she saw it in my eyes and whimpered.

I started out with a massage of her legs. I wanted to put her at ease, leave her guessing. Torment her ass the way she had tormented me. I worked her legs with my hands until she relaxed then moved on to her tummy.

I knew just where to touch to get her excited before I moved my hands down between her thighs. I teased my fingers over her pussy lips softly back and forth until she got wet. Then I dipped three fingers inside her newly awakened pussy, stretching her open.

Reaching over to the table, I got the cock that wasn’t as long as me but almost as wide around and pushed it in her over and over again until I felt her tense up to cum. Then I stopped.

Next, I got the little butt plug. I’d intended to use it for her pleasure, to help get her loose enough to take me at some point, but this was as good a purpose as any. Her nipples were next; I clamped them tight enough to sting but not draw blood, before attaching them to the chain around her middle.
