1. Bringing in a Divine Being at Step 2.

2. Checking with Him or Her in Step 4 that cutting this particular cord is appropriate.

3. Receiving the client’s official Permission Statement in Step 6.

Not only does this do-nothing technique work automatically. It protects you, the healer, from having emotions from a freshly cut cord be deposited into
you.

Would it be healthy for you to receive all the energy and karma released when a cord of attachment is cut? Are you obligated to allow your client’s problems to be deposited into your aura?

No, but without skill, this could happen. Three cheers for skill, maybe 12 cheers!

How will you know that you are staying clear? One indication is that, after doing a session of Rosetree Energy Spirituality, you don’t remember details about a client’s cord of attachment. (If you think those details may come in handy for future reference, make a few notes right after your session.)

Guidance About Life Choices

Right around Step 6, some clients discover doubts. Rare, yes. But occasionally it might happen. So it’s important to discuss this briefly.

In my experience, the most common doubt involves what, during Step 1, I called the “Cosmic Excuse.” Some clients start worrying, “Sure, I have this cord. But do I dare remove it? Since I have it, maybe this cord is meant to be. Where is my great big sign that I have permission to cut this cord?”

Well, it wasn’t terribly long ago, historically speaking, that bathing was considered dangerous in Western Europe. Queen Elizabeth, for instance, didn’t smell daisy fresh. Folks were fine with that. Didn’t all that grime serve some purpose?

Well, when someone expresses last-minute qualms about cutting a cord of attachment, maybe it’s time to talk baths.

Even if your client has spoken out the Permission Statement, if your client starts expressing strong reservations about cord cutting, now is the time to end your session. Do not follow through with any more of the 12 Steps to Cut Cords of Attachment. (And I would also think twice before ever offering this client another session.)

However, it’s far more likely that a wavering client simply needs a little confidence building. Yes, you have done many steps already, with including Step 5—which brought Divine permission and now Step 6—where your client just gave permission. So remind your client what has happened so far, plus the fact that nothing will remove the
spiritual tie
to a cordee.

You might wonder, why do some clients look so hard for what is “Meant to be”? There could be many fears or confusions. By moving out a cord of attachment, your client will be stronger for future choices in life.

After your client has completed his Permission Statement, he is fully ready for the only part of this procedure that he knew would happen for sure, when you facilitate physically cutting the cord, our Step 7.

LET’S GET PRACTICAL

At Step 7, you will cut your first cord of attachment. Here is what I recommend:

1. Read quickly through Steps 7-12 without doing any techniques at all. You will be previewing, not yet practicing. Emphasize the TECHNIQUE sections as you skim through the chapters.

Take notes or use any method you choose to highlight what you will do. (Soon the first page of a step, with its list of subsections, will be enough to jog your memory.)

2. Take out your list of Minor Cords of Attachment to cut for yourself. (Or make that list now, if you haven’t already done so.) Select one very, very minor cord to remove.

3. Practice from Step 7 on will ideally begin with this chapter. You will be doing an “Official Reading” of each
new
chapter, but skimming additional chapters before and after, just to get your bearings as you practice cord cutting.

4. Quickly do Steps 1-6, at Step 4 researching the minor cord you have chosen. Then go ahead and
slowly
move through Step 7 for your “Official Reading of the Chapter.” Follow up with quick read-and-do for the remaining chapters through Step 12.

Cord Cutting With Confidence

Soon you will physically cut a cord of attachment.

Because you have prepared so thoroughly, this can be easy. All you have done leading up to Step 7 helps to make you effective at facilitating this aura-level surgery.

When doing Step 7 you can use either:

• Your fingers in “Laser Position”
  
• Or else a dedicated crystal like a “Laser wand.”
  

Even if you plan to use a crystal, it’s good to know how to cut cords by using your hand.

On the cover of this book, notice that I am holding a laser wand. For a preview of Laser Position, note the position of my hand in the photo. How would the fingers look without that big crystal in the middle? Imagine the fingers moved closer together until they are touching.

That’s all you need do to move into Laser Position. The following technique will clarify.

TECHNIQUE: Create a Laser Wand with Your Fingers

Laser Position turns an ordinary hand into a surgical tool. This technique is adapted from the work of Janet Mentgen, Founder of Healing Touch.

1. Choose your left or right hand, whichever will be more comfortable for you to use as a Power Hand for
healing
auras. (Probably this will be the opposite of your Hand of Preference for
reading
auras.)

2. Hold a pencil, circling it with your fingertips.

3. Slide out the pencil but keep your fingers in that same position.

4. To check that you have the position correctly, turn your hand around, fingertips facing your eyes. See how it looks at the business end. Do you see a tiny open circle at the center where all five fingers meet? Then your hand is in Laser Position.

5. When cutting a cord of attachment, a laser-like beam of etheric energy will shoot through that tiny hole, perfect for doing psychic-level surgery.

How can your hand send out a laser beam strong enough to cut a cord?

Soon as your client gives the Permission Statement in Step 6, energy becomes available for cutting a cord of attachment.

This is comparable to the letdown reflex for mothers who nurse their babies; milk simply flows because the woman anticipates feeding her child. Similarly, when you have positioned yourself to do Rosetree Energy Spirituality, you will feed
healing
to your client’s aura. Only the healing energy doesn’t come from your own body but through collaborating with a Divine Being.

While you were doing Steps 1-6, healing light began to enter your aura through the top of your head. By now it has moved through your entire body. This concentrated beam of healing energy has been gaining momentum. Here at Step 7, this energy will steadily move through your hand for as long as you hold it in the special
mudra,
or sacred symbolic posture, of Laser Position.

What form does this laser light take, when shooting out through your hand? The circle of fingertips held in Laser Position will direct a perfectly focused beam. (If, later, you decide to hold a crystal in your hand instead of using Laser Position, healing energy will pass through this tool in a similar manner.)

Therefore, you are now prepared to bring through laser light for cord cutting. Steps 1-6 have prepared you and the client. At Step 7, etheric light, entering through your Crown Chakra, will blend with your human vibrations to create a high-level frequency that can remove anything at the astral level.

That includes any mere cord of attachment, however ugly.

TECHNIQUE: Physically Cut the Cord of Attachment for Yourself

How will you switch on healing energy for cord cutting? Well, you have already done it, thanks to:

• Create a Sacred Space
  
• Make an Energy Sandwich
  
• Activate the Aura
  
• Choose Which Cord to Cut
  
• Locate the Cord
  
• Receive Permission to Proceed.
  

How will you switch on healing energy for cord cutting? Courageous Explorer, you have already done that with those previous Steps to Cut Cords of Attachment. You are in The Zone for healing with Rosetree Energy Spirituality, so cut that cord with confidence.

1. Move your hand into Laser Position or hold a Laser wand crystal in your hand. Either way, you have a perfect tool for cutting a cord of attachment. So let’s refer to this as “Your tool.”

2. Place your tool a few inches away from your body, at right angles to the cord location. (If you’re using your right hand, that would be to the right side of the cord. If using your left hand, your tool would be at the left side of the cord.)

3. Circle around the cord of attachment three times to prepare it. Move your tool away for a moment to rest.

4. Reposition your tool above the top of the cord, again at right angles. Do one slow downward stroke to slice through the cord completely.

5. Put down your tool. (Either place your crystal onto a table or relax your hand out of Laser Position.)

6. The cord is now cut into two pieces, a long end still attached to the cordee and a short end attached to you.

7. Say, “[Divine Being,] thanks for cutting this cord. Please shine light into the long end and move it faster and faster vibrationally until it dissolves into pure recycled energy. Thanks again.”

8. You want to move out the short end as well. So reach into your auric field where the cord was located. Aim to pull out all bits of cord stuck in your aura. Make motions of pulling and grabbing until you feel the job is complete.

9. Say, “[Divine Being,] Please shine light into this part of the cord. Move it faster and faster vibrationally until it dissolves into pure recycled energy. Thanks again.”

10. Immediately do Step 8 to Cut Cords of Attachment, where you add the energy bandage.

TECHNIQUE: Physically Cut the Cord of Attachment for a Client

Not much is different, compared to facilitating healing for yourself. Here goes:

1. Move your hand into Laser Position or hold a laser wand crystal in your hand. Either way, you have a perfect tool for cutting a cord of attachment. So let’s refer to this as “Your tool.”

By now, I hope you have practiced Getting Big with help from a variety of Ascended Masters and Archangels. It’s like going to an amazing ice cream store with a great array of different flavors, all of them available to you for free. Each Divine Being has a story and, more important, an individual flavor of vibration.

Some Divine Beings are particularly superb at cutting cords of attachment.

You could call on one per day, like eating a huge ice cream dessert without gaining an ounce. Amazing or what?

What if your client has chosen someone
not
on the following list for her session? Right before cutting the cord (or during Step 4, when you preview what will happen in the following Steps) explain that it would be wise to bring in an extra Divine Being just to do the cutting.

Invite your client to choose one of the 12 Top Spiritual Surgeons. The Divine Being already present can be assigned to do the bandage. Then start naming the list of surgeons, one at a time, until your client makes a choice. All the following Divine Beings do a magnificent job at cutting cords.

TALE: Trouble, Right on the Bedroom Wall

Ashley and Jacob had been having marital problems. Each approached me separately, requesting a session. I was delighted to help.

Her cord to him featured destructive tendencies in which Jacob would mock things she did and sabotage plans that she made.

His cord to Ashley emphasized impatience, where his wife was constantly forcing him to go faster than his comfortable timing. Ashley didn’t seem to care if Jacob’s needs were met, not so long as she got what she wanted.

All in a day’s work for this spiritual healer... except for the little matter of their household decor....

Since I was on a book tour, my sessions for Ashley and Jacob were being done as a house call. I had needed to set up a makeshift sanctuary for Rosetree Energy Spirituality, choosing their condo’s biggest room with a door, the bedroom.

During both sessions, my back was to the main wall. So it wasn’t until I turned to leave that I saw Him. Shiva was pictured on an immense art print, beautifully framed. Black, brown, and red flames curled out from his image, stylized flames ready to lick you just for taking an impertinent look.

Even if the style of this picture hadn’t emphasized His destructive power, Shiva is hardly the coziest of Hindu gods. I always treat him with extra deference. After all, he specialty is destruction.

“Ouch!” I said to Jacob and Ashley. “How could you keep that terrifying picture of Shiva in your bedroom? By comparison, a dragon would seem tame.”

Jacob explained, “We met each other while studying in an ashram, so you could say that Lord Shiva brought us together.”

“Great,” I said. “And tell me, were you by any chance living as celibates while you studied at that ashram?”

Understanding dawned on their faces, and I had a hunch that this particular item of home decor might be moved rather soon.

True, Shiva is sometimes pictured with his consort Kali but it’s hardly the kind of pairing you would find on a Hallmark card. They’re the ultimate power couple. Don’t expect them to model the sort of marital tenderness that most humans require.

Cord cutting won’t remove the energy frequencies of your home furnishings, so think twice before you decorate your boudoir with the personification of relentless purification.

Choosing and Using Tools

Only you can decide if you prefer to enhance your cord cutting by using special stones as tools.

Usually I don’t. I’m a hands-on kind of gal. My favorite advice from any cookbook comes from the great James Beard, who advocated tossing salads by using your hands.
