Tripp began explaining about what they discovered about Diavolo.  “The man who tried to kidnap you is Diavolo.  Orfeo and he have a
past; the
crazy asshole seems to think
he,
and Orfeo are mates.  He wants to kill us and destroy the Senate so
Orfeo
and he can take over Europe.  All very psychotic and dramatic all rolled into one.  With the New Council dealing with Roarke and us having to deal with Diavolo, I suspect we are going to have to fight to get this Senate off the ground.”

“No worries there, you already have your first seat.  Jax is the Alpha of her Pack and the White
Wolf; I
am the Seer,” Dante said.  Jax nodded and reached out to take her mates hand, in a sign of agreement.

“I am the token human,” Brin laughed and looked at Cat.  “Well, at least one of them.  Does anyone know exactly who is supposed to be on the Senate?”

Orfeo looked at his mates and sighed before turning back to them.  “We must have a sitting member from
all the
magical communities.  Although I am not sure, nor is anyone else about what that entails.  I did receive a call from a Fae Clan in Sweden.  They are sending a representative to speak with us about what we need.  His name is Erik Sillen.  He is the son of the leader of his Clan in Sweden.  For you, we will have to have the ceremony.  My mother is planning it now.”

Cat grinned at Jax.  “Maybe we will get to go back to Paris for a quick trip to shop for a dress!”

Jax laughed and said, “Only if I get to eat my breakfast under the Eiffel Tower, I missed that this time.”

“What about the secretary?” Dante asked briskly.  He knew which one it was.  Her name was Tonya, and she had been a pain in his ass since the time she was hired.  She
wanted him
and Orfeo together.  When Orfeo came home with his mates, she had been livid.  Dante had told Orfeo that she had pitched a fit, and he had been too nice to actually fire her.

Cat grinned.  “No worries, I took care of little miss bitchy pants.” 

Dante laughed and looked at his Queen.  She was turning into a down right wonderfully Alpha female like the one in the States.  Dante was going to have to keep an eye on the female mates.  They tended to get rowdy; at
least,
that is what Tripp warned him about.

There was a knock at the
door,
and Orfeo rose and answered it.  The other secretary was holding out the phone to him laughing.  “Here he is.  I would love for you to call me anytime with the recipe,”
the
woman said and Dante rolled his eyes. 
What the hell was happening around
here?

Jax had remained quiet taking everything in that everyone was saying. 
It
had been a
long day. 
She listened as Orfeo talked into the phone and laughed.  “I am very appreciative of this, Cami.  Yes, I will tell her and please ask your mate to call me in the morning.”

He hung up.  “Apparently, Quin and Jaden have arranged for a human woman to come and fill in for Tonya.  Her name is Mia, and they said she has had some of the same problems as Cat.  She escaped from Roarke months ago, and has asked for shelter to hide.  They thought this would be the best place for her.  They do not know the extent to her problem; she has not opened up to anyone.  Cami thought maybe if she were far enough away from Roarke, she would feel safe enough to answer questions.  They trust her, and so will we, for now.”

Diavolo threw the phone against the
wall,
and it shattered.  “That bitch is going to die.”

“Who Sire?” his dumbass number one said.  He was new, after killing the last one Diavolo had promoted from within. 

“Mia,” Diavolo spat the name.

“And why are we killing her?” the dumbass said.

“You don’t ask
why; you
only do.  But I am feeling a little generous.  Mia is the human
that
Roarke was supposed to keep under control.  Her father is some big hot shot in the American government, and she has somehow found out about us, and was going to her father.  We had her captive, and somehow she escaped.  Now she has surfaced again.  And she is coming
here.”
