The car began
moving,
and Jax huddled down and began to talk to her mates through their connection.  She also talked to Trey and the others, telling them as soon as she
could,
she would take away the pain.

“How far are we?”
she asked after a few moments
.

“We are just at two miles,”
Brin said
.

“I am emailing Orfeo like I did in the vision.  One of his secretaries is sitting at the desk.  She should be the one that is passing information.  Cat will know in just a minute,”
Dante said
.

“Trey?”
Jax said
.

“Yes, my Queen,”
he said laughingly
.

“You fucker, you know I hate it when you call me that,”
Jax muttered
.

“I know, but we have all decided that we are calling you that.”
Trey teased
.  “Don’t you want to know why?”

“Okay fine, why?”
she asked
.

“You are the only woman who has made all of us c
um
in our pants, so you are our Queen of Orgasms,”
Trey announced and all the men laughed
.

“Just for that, I may forget to project to you,”
Jax said with a sniff, but grinned.  She loved these guys.  No one had better take them from her
.

“Where are we now?”
she asked knowing it was almost time and dreading it
.

“About a half a mile more.”
Brin
said,
and Jax stopped talking so she could concentrate
.

The first blast came only a few seconds later, and even though she knew it was
coming; she
jumped a little.  It was Brendan’s car.  She waited for the second blast and then Brin
to swerve
to the side like planned.  Tripp and the rest of the men were waiting behind the farm silo that was
close.

Brin and Dante both yelled the same way they had in Dante’s dream.  Screaming for their men as they exited the car.
Wait
, she thought, and concentrated on the scene she knew was playing out.  She projected feeling of calm and peace to the men who were injured.  She knew they were being burnt like they had in the dream.

Finally, she heard the creak of the door; someone was getting in the car.  She stuck her nose out and sniffed.  They were not shifters, which meant they were Vampires.  She stayed still while they looked in the back, there was no way they would see her if they didn’t climb in the car.

“Where the fuck is she?” one of the men exclaimed.

“I don’t know, Diavolo said she would be in this car,” another said.

“Shit, call him,” the first one
said,
and she waited.

The air around them
changed,
and she knew Tripp and the others had arrived.  Brin and Dante were calling for the transport of the men who were injured.

“So who the fuck are you?” Tripp growled and then she heard a scuffle.

She felt Brin running for the back of the
car; he
wasn’t supposed to be doing that, she thought, and flipped off the blanket and looked around, right when the hatch opened and a large man pulled her from the back.  Jax screamed and then blinked because of the bright light and saw her mate running toward her by himself with five Rogue wolves ready to steal her away in the car that was parked right behind theirs.
Where the fuck had they come from
?

She could see the outline of a man in the back of the large car, and Jax fought.  She heard Dante yell as Brin drew closer and kicked the closest wolf to him in the back of the legs taking him down.  One of the others stepped
forward,
and Jax shifted.  They were not killing her mate in front of her.

Her wolf took over and tore the throat out of the man who held her.  He never stood a chance against the massive wolf she shifted into, the assholes underestimated her.  But they had Brin too.  He used the drug gun that they had been slipped by Tripp.  He had checked into their rooms for them before they arrived, leaving the keys at the front desk and leaving things in the rooms for each of the cars.

Brin had received a drug
gun; he
only had to hit them in the
neck,
and they would drop.  She heard the car start and tires squeal and the car that was meant to take her left the men to them.  Jax plowed into another man, and then another.  She was furious that they had somehow figured out their plan.  No one should have been by the back of the
SUV,
unless they knew she was there.
Who the fuck was telling them shit
?  There was no way it was any of the men who were lying on the ground brunt and in pain again as she fought.  One of the things she just discovered in wolf form, she could not hold a projection of feelings.

Brin turned to her and yelled for her to stop, and she charged to a man who stepped around the car.  Her wolf was pissed and wanted blood, but it responded to Brin and skidded to a halt just before she was about to leap.

The man shook his head and yelled to Brin, “Shit, thanks Brin, she would have ripped my throat out.”

“Yes, she would have,” Brin said proudly and knelt next to her wolf.  “Shift sweetheart, our men need you.”

Brin grabbed a blanket and covered her as she shifted and then turned into his arms and sunk into his comforting embrace.  She shook and thought about her men, and the moaning that had filled the air stopped.

“I am so sorry guys.  Brendan, are you and your men okay?”
she asked in their minds
.

“Yes my Queen,”
the man gritted out now
the
pain had subsided again
.  “The
armor-
plated vest
worked to stop the metal from impaling me.”

“Thank the Gods,”
she whispered
.  “Trey?  How about you and your men?”

“Shit, we are all good, a little charred, but they brought blood with
them,
and we are already healing.  The shirts and jeans you had sprayed at the store with that
flame-
retardant stuff
helped, we are only medium rare, instead of well done,”
Trey responded
.

“We are coming right behind you,”
Dante said and then Jax opened her eyes
.

Dante was standing right next to her waiting, and she turned and hugged him hard.  He chuckled and said, “I told you, you can’t get rid of us that easily.”

***

The trio climbed back into their SUV after
Tripp,
and the other Enforcers had checked it over to make sure they had not missed someone putting another delayed bomb into it.  When they declared it fit to drive, they had sped toward their new home, but more importantly were their men who had been injured.  Jax talked to the men the whole way to the compound, not caring at all
the
rush of adrenalin was making her weepy.  It was almost over.  The week of torment, her parents, everything.  She was heading to a new and fresh start with her family.

Tripp left his team to do clean up,
so
the human police when they showed up would see a crash of two vehicles, with
all the
people safe.  Escaping in the nick of time before their cars had ignited because of a leaking gas tank.  All the remnants of a bomb we removed.

The car that left had been found abandoned at the small airport that was the closet to them.  Apparently, two of Tripp’s men had given chase but had been too late.  But they had been able to get the plane’s number, and even though the smaller aircraft didn’t have to file a flight plan, they knew who owned the plane.  Diavolo had at least revealed that he was definitely involved in the plot to kidnap Jax.

Once they entered the compound, they were swept off to a doctor to be checked over and then shown to a private suite with only a request from Orfeo and his mates to meet them in the study to talk when they were ready.

When they were finally alone, Jax let loose; she cried as both her mates held her and soothed her.  She cried for her parents again, and for the Pack and Clan
that
were sacrificing for her and her mates.  And finally for them, they were finally safe.

“Princess, you are making me worried here,” Dante whispered into her ear as she tried to get control of herself.  It seemed she had been keeping things bottled up for too
long,
and they finally let go.

“Me too,” she whispered and sniffled.

“We are safe, and the Pack and Clan are safe.  Some of them began arriving today, according to Tripp,” Brin whispered, “We will find the man responsible for
this,
and he will pay.”

“Diavolo,” Jax whispered.

“Yes,” Dante said and then stood up.  “But we can talk about that later.  Unfortunately, we need to meet with Orfeo and talk.  Tripp will fill him in on the important stuff, but we have got to solidify our place on the Senate.”

Jax sighed and then stood up and smiled.  “Can I at least have a kiss?”

“Princess, you never have to worry about that, I will always make time for you.  Together we have to do this, for our Pack and Clan,” Dante said and drew her into his arms and kissed both of her puffy eyes and then her mouth, slowly and gently until she thought she would start crying again.

Brin embraced her from behind; she
turned,
and he kissed her just as sweetly.  “Tonight, when we are all done with this shit, we will
lie
in this rather large bed they have given us and talk.”

Jax nodded and then frowned.  “Wait, did they bring the bags up?”

Dante laughed and said, “Really?  Worried about your shopping?”

“No dumbass, I need something before we leave,” Jax growled and then saw the pile of bags in the
closet,
and she went to them.  Pulling out the one she knew her treasure was in, she smiled and took out the small boxes and carried them into the
room.

Dante looked at her
curiously,
and Brin smiled when he saw the name on the box and elbowed his friend.  “Hey, it is the Harry Winston boxes.”

Jax smiled, turned around and lifted the lid of all three of the boxes and took out the ring she had found for them.  When she turned and faced
them,
she grinned.  “Brin, I know this is a human tradition, and I wanted to make sure that we all were represented in this mating.  So, I found us wedding rings that seemed to fit us the best.”

Brin laughed when she slid the thick platinum and gold ring on his finger.  It fit
perfectly,
and he looked at it closer and saw the diamonds made a shape.  Laughing when he looked up at her and back down at the ring, it had a wolf on
it.

Then she turned to Dante and held out her hand, when she slipped the ring similar to Brin’s on his
finger,
he laughed.  On it was a king’s crown with rubies and
diamonds.

Finally, she handed them the ring she had picked out for herself—the men took it and smiled when they saw what she found.  The same gold and platinum style ring and on the top held three circles entwined together, with the center being a heart.

“I love you,” she whispered when they both put the ring on her finger.

Her men replied, “You are our heart.”

Epilogue

Orfeo, Cat, and Tripp waited in the study for their new members to arrive.  When Dante opened the door, Cat rushed to him and hugged him.

“I am so happy you are all safe,” the Senate Alpha female said.

Dante turned and made all the introductions, and Cat took Jax’s hand and squeezed it.  “I heard you had a little trip to Paris and went shopping?  Wait until you talk with Bama, from the New Council, you will love her.”

Orfeo got right down to business asking about the men who were injured.

Dante spoke, “My men are all doing well, since Jax had the idea of asking the Dolce and Gabbana people how they stopped their models from catching on fire on the runway.  The owner was happy to spray the pants and shirts she bought, considering how much more money she spent.  She used the excuse that we were in a photo shoot.  He was quite taken with our Brendan and asked for his number.”

They went on to explain their whole plan that Dante and Brin
made.
The one thing they had not counted on was that Diavolo would personally come and
try to
kidnap Jax.  The extra car had thrown them, but all-in-all, it had been
successful.
