An image of Julien standing with a bull whip in his hand sent a bolt of ice through her.
What if he tried that on me? How did that poor man gain pleasure out of such an evil action?

A sharp smack to her bottom yanked her from her thoughts. She focused on Miguel’s face as he stretched out alongside of her. He trailed his fingers down her spine and up her sides. “What were you thinking about?”

“Nothing.”

Another sharp smack echoed in the room, and a sting radiated from her bottom. “For every lie.” Miguel continued to stroke his fingers along her back, calming her with the patterns he was making on her skin. “What were you thinking of?”

“A memory from my past, of a helpless man who’d been tortured,” she answered. It was the truth, part of the truth.

Miguel looked at her and accepted her answer although somehow she knew he saw more than she wanted to admit.

“You’re not helpless, Kass. Even if I was to tie you to this bed, you would not be helpless. I’m a slave to you. I want to touch your skin and leave my mark on you, lightly, so that I can do it again and again. My teeth, my hand, a flogger or whip.”

Kass jerked at the last word. She couldn’t help it. “Never.”

Miguel held her gaze and then nodded. “You’re my goddess and your wish is my command.” He lifted up and she felt him move behind her. Straddling her legs with his, he sat on her calves. Her legs were immobilized, but it didn’t frighten her. She liked to feel his weight against her, as much as she’d enjoyed the feeling of Julien sprawled over her after making her scream with pleasure.

“What are you doing?”

Miguel shushed her as he ran his hand down her spine in one long, slow caress. His body slid along hers, his cock resting against her ass like a brand, making her long to feel it buried inside of her.

“What if I want you to mark me?” Miguel whispered in her hair. “Would you do that,
mi corazón
? I want to look down and see your mark on my skin, a reminder of your touch.”

“I don’t want to hurt you.” She didn’t understand why he would ask such a thing. What frightened her more was that a part of her was curious and liked the idea of marking him.

“You won’t hurt me.” Miguel continued the long strokes along her back. “And sometimes a little sting can make you feel so much more.”

He smacked her bum again, a sharp tap to the underside of one cheek. She jumped but had to admit that the warmth that radiated from her pussy afterward felt incredible. He pressed a couple fingers between her legs and into her, stroking her deep.

Kass gripped the sheet and panted. “That feels so good.”

“I know, and then someone does this.” He spanked her ass again, two sharp swats that exploded on each cheek, adding another layer of intensity to what he was doing. She clenched on his fingers and tried to squeeze them.

“Oh, promise you’ll do that to my cock when I’m deep inside you,
mi corazón
.”

He pumped his fingers inside of her, hitting a spot that made her feel like her body was going up in flames. “Oh god, Miguel.”

“I’m yours, Kass.” He removed his fingers, and she lifted her hips, trying to hold onto them. He smacked her again, and she felt more cream dribble down her leg. Even she had to admit that she liked his hand on her.

He chuckled and smacked her ass again. “You’ll hunger for this.” She felt his hands on her hips and a thick, blunt cock press against her cunt.

“I already hunger for your cock.” She tried to rear back, but he smacked her again.

“No, I mean a hand on your ass. Wait ’til Julien finds out. He can make you scream in pleasure with his hand alone.” He pressed deeper, and she felt her body struggle to accept him. Her muscles stretched to the point of burning as he rocked against her.

“He’ll spank your ass until you beg, and then he’ll flip you over and give that swollen pussy of yours a sharp smack and I guarantee you’ll scream as you cream yourself.”

Kass’s head filled with images of what Miguel described and she felt her pussy bathing his cock with her juices. Miguel pressed further until his cock filled her entirely. He pulled back and then surged forward again, stealing Kass’s breath with the exquisite feeling. Her body was wet enough that he slipped back and forth easily now, building an inferno of heat inside of her.

He reached around her hip and rubbed her clit with his fingers, ratcheting up the sensations to a vortex of heat and longing. When she felt his thumb against her bottom, she lurched forward.

“Stay still,” Miguel ordered. She’d never heard that tone out of him, and her body obeyed before her brain thought to defy him. She felt him press against her back entrance and clenched from the incredible strangeness of the sensation. That action also caused her to clench hard around his cock, and she shuddered from the intense feeling.

He wouldn’t be dissuaded, and soon enough she found each hole stuffed as Miguel rocked against her. His fingers created an intense forbidden feeling as his cock slid in and out of her dripping passage.

“More,” she cried out. Her orgasm glimmered on the periphery of everything, a teasing sensation that promised as much as it teased.

“We’ll give you more.” He pressed another finger into her back passage, creating a burn as he scissored his fingers, stroking her. “I will not plunge my cock in your ass, no matter how much you beg. I want Julien here so we can finally take you together. Then I’ll push my cock in your tight ass as he fucks your cunt.”

Miguel kept talking and she felt her body gush with moisture. Every stroke rubbed against an incredibly sensitive part inside of her. “I know what you really need.” The words sounded forced out as he fucked her.

“Please.” Kass knew what was coming and didn’t care. She wanted it, needed that extra bit of sensation. But, instead of slapping her bum again, he pressed another finger into her. The extra stretch burned and pulled her down into the abyss of pleasure.

She felt as though she floated on a velvet cloud. Miguel extricated himself from her and rolled her over. He pushed back inside of her, and she wrapped her legs around his hips, arching up into his strokes. “Yes, Miguel. Fuck me harder.”

Miguel growled and pounded into her. Somewhere in the riot of sensations she remembered what he’d said earlier. She angled her head and gripped his shoulder with her teeth, biting down hard. He snarled and let loose with a string of Spanish she didn’t understand. Rising up, he gripped her hips, slamming into her once and then a second time. He reached down and pinched her clit hard, launching her into another heart-stopping orgasm as he hollered out his completion.

Kassandra lay sprawled out on the bed. Miguel got up and warmed the cloth and cleaned her, and she didn’t have the fortitude to move. He crawled back into bed and lay over her. His large frame pinned her to the bed with one arm stretched over her chest and his leg tangled between hers. She couldn’t move but didn’t feel as though her breathing was restricted at all.

“I don’t like you putting yourself in danger, Kass.” He snuggled his face into her neck. She liked feeling as if he surrounded her.

“I want you to trust me, Miguel.” Kass kept her eyes closed but patted his arm. “I know what I’m doing. This will be a routine drop-off, no excitement.”

“You know that’s usually when everything goes wrong.”

“Only if you’re not prepared properly, and I’m completely prepared.” She yawned. Miguel didn’t understand. She trusted Dev and Gil and their intentions. “I want you to stay back on the ship. The men I’m meeting don’t know you and I don’t want to make them nervous.”

“Men?” Miguel lifted his head. “You didn’t say anything about meeting men.”

“Who did you think I was meeting? A herd of cows?” Kass didn’t like this jealousy that radiated off of Miguel. Most of her business was done with men, and she was two seconds away from kicking his ass out of bed for this behavior. She would not be dictated to by him or Julien.

“Raz and Gabe can stay on the ship. I’ll accompany you to the rendezvous.”

“No, you will not.” She tried to shove his arm off her, but he refused to move.

Mi corazón
, don’t be jealous. I promise I will not even look at these men twice. You have my complete and utter adoration.”

Kass turned her head and caught his teasing look. “That’s not what you meant.”

“Of course it is.” He pressed another kiss to her shoulder. “I’m there to watch your beautiful back, and you can do all the talking.”

She knew he wouldn’t budge on this one, and it would be pointless to continue arguing about it. She’d agree but was concerned that Miguel’s presence would cause more harm. Knowing that Miguel would have her back made her feel infinitely safer. It wasn’t that she didn’t trust her crew, but she knew that Miguel was much better trained for situations like this. Miguel’s breathing evened out, and Kass lay quietly for a while thinking about trust until she, too, drifted off.

Miguel didn’t like this one bit. Kass was fully aware of this because he’d voiced his opinion repeatedly over the course of the day. He walked the two miles with her to the drop site. Raz and Gabe had stayed back at the ship, but her first mate Connor insisted on accompanying her and Miguel. Connor was still pissed off at being duped and captured by Julien. She suspected he was the one behind the stories about broken equipment on the ship.

The hot summer sun beat down on them. Kass was thankful for the large hat she wore because she could feel her skin start to tingle after a while. The walk was taking longer than she thought because it wasn’t a formal road they were following.

Gil and Dev had placed a beacon for her to follow, and the small device she’d received from them at their last meeting directed her way. Dev and Gil would recognize Connor, but she was concerned what Miguel’s presence would convey to them. She glanced over her shoulder but couldn’t see Miguel anywhere. Stopping, she scanned the area and started to take a few steps back.

“It’s okay, Kass.” Connor grabbed her arm. Kass yanked her upper arm from his grip and dropped her free hand to the pistol on her hip.

“Captain?” Connor lifted his hands, a hurt look briefly crossing his face.

Kass cursed herself for hurting a man who’d done nothing but watch her back for the last couple years. “I’m sorry, Connor.” She waved her hand behind her. “Some people have me on edge.”

Connor smiled and patted her shoulder. “We all worry about you. I’m glad that they’re making you understand how important your safety is.”

“He can’t be too worried about it if he’s dropped that far behind.”

“He’s not far behind.” Connor winked at her and placed his hand at her lower back to encourage her to keep walking. “Miguel understands that Devon and Gilbert would see him as a threat and perhaps lose faith in you.”

“If I’d had a chance to warn them.” Kass glanced down at the dial in her hand and turned to the left and headed down a hill toward what looked like it might be a path through the woods. “They’ve already been through so much.”

She pulled at the strap across her chest, adjusting the pack on her back to a more comfortable position. It was getting overly warm, and she wished she’d realized how far they would make her walk. She glanced down at the compass-like object in her hand, and the small dial spun around in a circle. “I think we’re almost there.”

“I certainly hope—AHH!” Connor’s words were cut off when the ground beneath them dropped away.

They both dropped a few feet and then slipped on an angled surface. Kass had enough time to spin over onto her stomach and reach for the surface when her world tilted and she slipped backward down a sharp incline. “Miguel!” she screamed and thought she heard her name being shouted when the opening they’d fallen through slammed shut.

“Are you okay?” Connor shouted as they slid down.
