“Now I’m beginning to understand,” Sosa said. “The human female is such a beautiful thing. You’ve picked a fine one. I almost wish I could trade in these two for her.”

“Hey!”

“But I’m not interested in fighting for a woman you’re obviously attached to,” Sosa laughed as his two queens protested.

With my body clean, I enjoyed the warmth of the water with my boyfriend. He playfully dunked me underneath the water and covered my hair completely. I came back up to see his smiling face. I playfully returned the favor. When he came up, he wrapped his arms around me and held me close. Together, we watched as Sosa stood up from his seat and positioned himself between Jynx and Avina.

“To not convert her into a wolf,” he started. “That must take considerable strength, Shadow. Some might call it admirable. I’m only curious. Why would a wolf deny his own instincts?”

“The love we make is still pleasurable,” Vaughn said. “She is fine the way she is.”

“Spoken like a true gentleman. That’s why she is yours and you are hers.”

“Get to the point, Sosa,” Vaughn growled at him. “What do you want from us?”

“It’s not what I want, Shadow. It’s what
you
want. From each other.”

“What?”

“I’m curious to see how a wolf manages to make love to a human without killing her or converting her.”

I looked at Vaughn and we stared at one another. I wasn’t sure I heard it correctly from Sosa. When I turned back to them, they all had impish grins on their faces.

“That’s right,” Sosa said. “I want to see it.”

“Our love is our business,” Vaughn said. “You will not bear witness to it for your own amusement.”

Amusement
? Is that the word you would use to describe the union between two beings?”

“I don’t care what word you use,” Vaughn growled. “You will not witness it.”

“Vaughn…”

He looked at me with confusion. I stared at him, trying to tell him what I was feeling at the moment. It was a sensation I couldn’t deny. I had no issue with making love to Vaughn at this moment. Deep down inside, it turned me on to know that they would be watching.

“We can’t,” he said to me. “I don’t have any condoms.”

“Condoms?” Avina exclaimed. “You
are
a curious couple.”

“Vaughn,” I whispered. “We don’t have a choice…”

“She’s right,” Sosa said to Vaughn. “You
don’t
have a choice. You said you would do me two favors. This is the second one.”

Vaughn hesitated. He did have a point. It was none of their business. But this was certainly the lesser of two evils given the option.

“If you’d prefer, I can give you something more dangerous,” Sosa said as he laughed at us. “I could send you back into the city by yourselves for something silly like, I don’t know… Hey, why don’t I send you to buy some condoms? If you survive the Nakas, you can use them as your reward.”

“Vaughn…”

I was practically begging him at this point. But I wasn’t just pleading with him because it was our obligation. The arousal I had burning inside of me for him was only growing because of the eyes upon us. It didn’t even matter anymore. I just wanted Vaughn at this moment.

“What’s it going to be, Shadow?” Sosa asked him. “Are you going to enjoy the comforts of the spring you’re sitting in or am I going to have to send you back out into the city? It’s getting late. New York gets dangerous at night, so I’m told.”

Vaughn continued to hesitate. I leaned in close to him and tried to kiss him but he pulled away. Vaughn’s jaw was clenched. He was holding back. He didn’t want anyone else to share in our intimate moment but the fire was burning inside of me. I reached down underneath the water and searched for his length. He started to thicken inside of my palm. I could slowly begin to feel him losing himself.

“Look at her,” Sosa said to him. “She wants it. Are you going to deny your queen, Shadow? Are you not going to give her what her body craves? What kind of wolf are you?”

Vaughn started to breathe deeply through his nostrils. Our eyes locked upon each other in an intense and erotic stare.

“Do it, Shadow!” Sosa shouted at him.

Vaughn wrapped his arms around me. His lips enveloped me with a passionate kiss to the delight of our audience. I listened to the sound of Jynx and Avina squealing in delight. But it quickly went away as the poison in Vaughn’s lips started to take its effect.

No longer holding back, Vaughn didn’t waste any time. I gasped as he pulled me away from him and slammed me up against the wall of the tiny spring. I propped myself up, my arms spread and inviting Vaughn closer to me. He spread my legs underneath the water and quickly positioned himself between them. I felt his length just inches from my opening. The desire was surging through my body. The venom made my vision hazy but every inch of my body felt like it was being stimulated. I glanced over to the side for a moment and could see the smiles on all of their faces.

“Vaughn!”

I groaned his name as he slammed his length into me. He buried himself to the hilt, the bottom half of our bodies hidden underneath the water. I wrapped my legs around him as he started to pound me against the edge of the spring. The bubbling water splashed around us and on top of me. My breasts heaved with how hard and fast he was pumping himself into me.

“Mmm, yes,” Sosa said. “Just like that. Let me see the way a wolf treats an ordinary human…”

I wasn’t paying attention to anything he was saying any longer. I had never made love to Vaughn in this manner before. The audience that had sparked my initial arousal was now gone to me. All I cared about now was Vaughn filling me up completely with his thickness.

I moaned and thrashed in the water. I used all of the muscles in my arms to hold myself up. The stones against my back started to dig into my skin but I didn’t care.

“Harder,” I groaned.

Vaughn complied with my wishes, shoving himself into me with hard and fast strokes. His arousal started to take full control of him. I watched him begin to change in front of me through half-open eyes. The fur started to grow on his skin. His ears shifted upwards on his head and his muscles started to harden even more. His mouth became more pronounced and stuck out like a snout. I reached out for his mouth with my own and we exchanged a sloppy and messy kiss.

“Interesting,” Sosa said. “It’s kind of romantic in a way.”

“Why don’t you ever treat us like that?” Jynx asked him.

“Because I only care about fucking you.”

She slapped him across the arm while he laughed at her.

I pulled my arms off the side then wrapped them around Vaughn. Both of his arms underneath my ass, we floated in the water while he rammed into me. Every single time he pushed himself into me, the air was forced out of my lungs in a guttural groan. He started to increase his pace and my moans were having trouble keeping up with him. He bounced my entire body on his length. I felt like I was floating in the water. I had never had sex with someone like this before. There was a beast filling me up which made it that much more enjoyable. Vaughn was an animal and now there was nothing to stop him from being satisfied completely.

I gasped as he picked me up completely out of the water. Our bodies were soaked but Vaughn wasn’t finished. He threw me onto the ground and I fell onto the animal rug underneath my stomach. Sosa and his women were now quiet as they watched us.

“Vaughn—Ahh!”

I tried to turn onto my back but Vaughn only growled and turned me back onto my stomach. He forcefully propped me up onto my knees and hands. The fur felt comfortable against my skin. But it didn’t feel as good as the claws that were now beginning to dig into my ass.

My center ached for him. The heat from Vaughn’s cock was now just inches away from me. Just when I thought I couldn’t wait any longer, he shoved himself into me and forced a gasp from my throat. I moaned as he buried himself to the hilt. The fur around his base tickled as it met my ass. Our bodies were soaked and covered with water. The sound of our wet skin slapping against each other echoed against the walls of Sosa’s den.

I panted and whimpered as Vaughn’s length filled me up completely. My body shifted back and forth with each of his strokes. My breasts rocked to the rhythm of the way he pounded me. We were a loud mess of sex and passion.

I wasn’t used to this. The tinge of Vaughn’s fluid spilling out of him was enough to send sparks through my body. I had tasted his seed before. I knew what would happen if I consumed him entirely. Vaughn didn’t want that even though I did. I had lost myself completely at this point. I wanted nothing more than for Vaughn to finish inside of me and convert me.

He started to grunt even louder. He was getting close. His strokes were harder and faster. My entire body felt like it was getting beat-up as he pounded me. I fell down upon the fur underneath me, unable to hold myself up any longer. I fell onto my face and forearms while Vaughn continued to pound my ass as I presented it to him.

Suddenly he pulled out of me. His loud groan was accompanied by the feeling of his fluid landing upon my already wet skin. His seed was warm against my flesh. I enjoyed the sensation of it falling upon me in measured and steady pulses. With a few more grunts, Vaughn emptied the rest of himself upon me.

I collapsed completely onto the fur underneath me. I rolled onto my back completely satisfied but unable to gain my senses. I could barely make out Vaughn beginning to shift back into a human. Sosa, Jynx and Avina were looking down upon me with smiles upon their faces.

“Wow, look at her eyes,” Jynx muttered. “They’re so red. Is she converted?”

“No,” Avina said to her. “It’s just a side effect. Most of fluid ended up on her back.”

“Yeah, she’s human,” Sosa confirmed. “But still quite enjoyable I must admit.”

Vaughn took the place next to me. I barely had enough strength to smile at him to let him know how satisfied I was. The passion and lust in him was gone now, replaced by a calm and relaxation I hadn’t seen since we got to New York. I leaned in closer to him and instinctively rested my head upon his chest. Through the corner of my eye, I could see Sosa still staring at us.

“Thank you for that demonstration,” he said. “You have my allegiance. We will join you in your attempt against the Nakas. Now, get some rest. You’re going to need it. Oh, and don’t mind us. We have to do something with this feeling you’ve built up in all of us.”

Sosa wrapped his arms around Jynx and Avina disappeared to the corner of the den. I listened to the sound of them starting to enjoy one another. But it was only for a moment. The dark den grew darker and I eventually blacked out completely.

Chapter 18

It was difficult to open my eyes. I didn’t know how much time had passed since Vaughn and I completed Sosa’s second favor. I sat myself up and looked around. The den was completely empty. I was naked and alone, barely coherent of my surroundings. I fell into the spring to try and wake myself up. Splashing the water on my face only helped me a little bit but I did manage to get some of the sleep out of my eyes. While I bathed, Vaughn walked back into the den.

“Get dressed,” he said.

I nodded and got ready as soon as I could. When I stepped out of the den, he was standing with Irvine and our new contingent. Vaughn had put on the old and torn clothes he had taken off earlier. Rio and Sosa were dressed similarly, unlike the rest of the men in the cave. And Cyrus was here as well, also inexplicably dressed like an ordinary man in a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. They all turned and looked to me as soon as I made my way out.

“Wh-what’s going on?” I asked.

“We’re headed for the next clan, Ms. Everhart,” Irvine explained to me. “The Shidos. What do we know about them?”

“Their Alpha is one named Daric,” Rio said. “He’s an arrogant wolf. I haven’t met him personally but from what I’m told, he’s quite conceited.”

“I can’t blame him,” Cyrus joined in. “The Shidos number near a thousand.”

“A
thousand
, you say?” Sosa asked.

“That’s right,” Cyrus said. “They’re only outnumbered by the Nakas.”

“Then that’s our advantage,” Vaughn said. “I don’t know Daric but if what you say about him is true, we should able to convince him to join our cause.”

“Is there anything else you know?” Irvine asked everybody.

They all looked at each other but remained silent. Rio cleared his throat and everybody turned to him.

“Their clan is spread out all over the city but Daric would most likely be found in Brooklyn,” he said. “We should head out there immediately.”

“All right,” Irvine said while he nodded. “Vaughn, Cyrus, Sosa…”

“Ahem,” Sosa interrupted him. “I’m well aware of the agreement I made with you. And rest assured I appreciate Shadow and Ariel’s… efforts to get me on your side.”

“Are you breaking your deal, Sosa?”

“No, not at all. I’m only stating that I will remain here with the rest of my clan while Rio goes in my stead.”

“Coward,” Cyrus muttered as he shook his head.

“Spare me, Doras.”

Sosa backed away from our meeting and was quickly joined by Jynx and Avina. They returned to the den and our group was reduced by one.

“That’s fine,” Vaughn said. “As long as they know of the other clans with us, it should be enough to convince them. Let’s go.”

When we stepped out of the cave, the sun had set and the forest was dark. I walked with Vaughn and Irvine back into the city. We were joined by Cyrus and Rio, the representatives of their clans. Irvine managed to procure another van and we were on our way from the Bronx into Brooklyn. I worried that we might be attacked once again. The added support of two extra wolves didn’t ease the tension. But we managed to make it into Brooklyn unscathed.

Irvine parked the van on the edge of the forest and we made our way through it. All of us were silent as night had fallen. The sounds from within the woods weren’t any different from anything I hadn’t heard before. There were owls hooting from their branches in the trees. The glimmers of moonlight that managed to squeeze between the trees illuminated the animals that were hiding in the bushes. But noisy shrubbery wasn’t enough to put me on edge. I was already there.
