Jaxon stands in front of me and raises his hands in front of him so that his palms are facing me. His hands clench and unclench before my eyes and then they start towards my face. Why can't I move? I can't even free my wings. It is like I am paralysed to the spot. His hands brush my cheeks gently at first and then they cup my entire face.

“What are you doing?” I ask in a mere whisper.

“Something I should have done when I first met you.” He tells me. Before I can blink, we are no longer in the road near his house. I don't even think we are in Suffolk anymore. I look around with my eyes, still unable to move my body and see that I am in, a cave?

He releases my face and I collapsed onto my knees. I raise my head and see him smirking down at me. I look around and it isn't a cave at all. It is hot here. Really hot. There are fire torches in the walls. The ground and walls are all solid rock. Someone passes us and bows their head in Jaxon's direction before disappearing down some corridor.

Oh crap!! I am in the Underworld!!!

NINETEEN

“Why have you brought me here?” I scream at him. The smirk on his face doesn't waver. Instead it grows into a wide grin.

“Oh stop your screeching will you? I have a headache, no thanks to that witchy friend of yours.” He grabs me by the arm and leads me down a dirty path until I am in an even more dimly lit room. This one has a large table in the centre and around twelve chairs surrounding it. The table is covered in rotten food. Browning apples. Green fluffy loaves of bread. Shrivelled grapes. Hairy cheese. The cutlery on the table looks as if it hasn't been washed in weeks. There is dirt and grime all over them. Jaxon pushes me through the room and into another. This one is a kind of seating area for someone who likes chairs made out of scary looking faces. He shoves me over to where a large red rug sits by one of the rocky walls and nudges me so hard in the ribs, I wall on to my knees. He kicks me with his foot and I fall backwards gasping for air and spluttering since he booted me in the stomach.

Why is he doing this to me? I thought he liked me. Oh what a fool I was. He walks over to a box on the other side of the room, then opens it and pulls out a rope. He wanders back over to me, grabs my arms ignoring my scream of pain at him yanking on my broken one, and then binds my hands together. The rope glows and then he attaches it with another glowing rope to the wall. I wonder if it's magical or ordinary.

He leaves the room and within a few minutes of him leaving, someone else walks into the room. I tilt my head up from where I am laying on the ground and see a really short chubby man with curly brown hair and red eyes. He gives me a pointy toothed smile that makes my blood boil and then busies himself with brushing down the scary faced chair. He sits on the floor in front of the large chair and bows his head. Fascinated as to what is going on, I push myself up, using the rope from the wall for support and put myself in a seated position.

The little guy lifts his head when I do this and then it shoots back down the second Jaxon and some cloaked guy walk into the room. Neither look at me as they pass and despite the situation, I am hurt that Jaxon doesn't even pass a glimpse at me. I guess those kisses meant more to me than they did him.

The cloaked guy sits down in the chair and then inclines his head towards me. Jaxon stands before him.

“Master, as promised, the half angel you so desperately required.” He says with a smug grin on his face. The cloaked guy sits up straight and then turns his hidden head in my direction. I am guessing that this is Jaxon's father.

“Excellent. I can now begin in inquisition.” His voice booms through the hollow room. Inquisition? What the hell does that mean? “So little angel. Tell me, who is the angel parent who made you what you are?” I don't respond to his question. I refuse to answer him any questions about myself. “Fine. Tell me this then, did you know it is against all rules in the book to fall in love with a demon?” My eyes snap to Jaxon and he is staring down at me like I am a piece of crap on his shoe. Like I am nothing to him.

“Foolish child!” The hooded dude shouts, causing me to jump. I am not even joking, his voice is that loud and deep, power drips from it. Jaxon finds this hilarious and starts chuckling. Hold on a minute, that isn't Jaxon's laugh. I've heard that laugh before, sure, but it was in Paris! My eyes snap down to his leg and I see the oozing blood from my knife wound. Oh my God! I sent
Jaxon
to Egypt! This is Crillin! Oh that sneaky little cretin!

“I did not fall in love with a demon.” I state calmly, deciding to catch Crillin out. “He might be good looking but he repulses me. He makes me sick.” I shoot a look in Crillin's direction. He simply smirks to himself, probably because he has never kissed me and he thinks that I am dissing Jaxon.

“Well we can't have that now can we angel. You,” Cloaked guy points a bony finger to Crillin. “Kiss her.” Crillin's smile drops from his face and the tough girl act I was working on, vanishes into thin air. Just like it would seem I did to my friends and family. I don't want to kiss Crillin, I really
will
be sick. I
feel
sick just thinking about it. BLEUGH!!

“Um, master? Do I have to?” The fake British accent slips slightly. Oh please say he doesn't have to, pleeeease say he doesn't!

“You are
incubus
are you not? So do as you were born to do, KISS HER!” The way he says 'incubus' insinuates that he actually knows Crillin isn't, yet is playing along with his façade. Crillin shuffles on his feet and then makes his way over to me, I scramble backwards until my back collides with the wall.

He grabs the ropes around my wrists and yanks me upwards until I am on my feet. Pain shoots through my broken arm and I try and cover my wince but think I fail from the look on Crillin, well Jaxon's, face.

He smirks down at me and then takes a step closer. “Oh Clara.” I laugh and he blanches back in confusion as to why I am laughing.

“Dude, my name isn't even Clara you fool.” His raised brows drop and he looks like he is going to punch me. Again. “It's Ca-liss-a. Can you pronounce that? Dickhead.” Crillin's face twists into something that resembles anger and then he actually does punch me, this time my other eye gets the hit and I sway on my feet yet stay standing. I narrow my eyes at him and smirk.

“What's the matter Crillin?” I bat my lashes even though it stings to do so.

“How did you figure it was me?” His American accent returns.

“The laugh. Your laugh grates me to the point I want to hit you. It makes me shiver and makes me feel so sick, I swear to the high Heavens that if you kiss me, looking like Jaxon or not, I
will
bite your lips off.” I snarl up at him and the fake green he has in his eyes flashes to red within seconds. Then, he starts to shake. I push myself as tight against the wall as I can while his entire body convulses. The guy in the chair starts to laugh, probably at my reaction and the little man in front of him is frowning in my direction. Then with a flash of light, 'Jaxon' is gone and in his place, an elf. He looks similar to the little guy in the corner.

Crillin snarls
up
at me, now he is two feet shorter than me, and I laugh. So hard, tears form in my eyes. “You are trying to intimidate me,” laugh, “you look like a gnome.” Tears are streaming down my face at this point and I raise my arms to wipe my face on the back of my leather jacket. Oh I know I shouldn't laugh but the guy is practically half my size. “You really are an elf then.” I sniff. Crillin whose face twists in anger, grabs the rope and yanks me downwards so I am at his miniature level. He slams his lips to mine and I didn't even see it coming. Yet instead of me pulling away, my body tingles and he is screaming against me and he struggles to pull away but I have a hypothesis. My succubus self is draining him. And sticking to my promise, I bite his lips. Hard. He screams louder and the second I taste his blood in my mouth, I drop him. Ha!! He slumps down and drops to his hands and knees and I spit out his blood and the taste of him onto the floor.

I didn't even notice that the hooded guy had moved, he is now on his feet and standing merely three feet away from me.

“I had no idea you were a succubus Calissa Bond.” How the hell did he know my name? “I have known you your entire life dear child. I believe you know my daughter. Tessa.” He flips off his hood and there standing in front of me, is Tessa's dad.

“Paul?” He cackles at the name I have grown up calling him.

“Paul is my earth name. Here I am called Levi. If you didn't know already, I am a Leviathan.” I blink at him in astonishment. Does that mean Tessa is one too?

              “Aren't Leviathan's sea serpents?” I ask.

“Yeah, when we want to be.” He shrugs. “My wife has been going behind my back for the past nineteen years, protecting you and your mother because you are half angel. I thought your mother was the angel, hence why Lorraine fussed over you two so much. I guess your mother is a succubus and your father... who is your father? I know that scrawny Simon isn't. You look nothing like him.”

“Don't you dare talk about my dad like that you creep.” I snarl.

“Oh Calissa, if I'm not scared of my witch wife or the scum that keeps trying to stop me from harming you; then what makes you think I will be scared of a puny nineteen year old girl?” My eyes drop down into little slits. Oh what I'd do to have someone here for backup right now.

I glance around the room and notice that both Crillin and the other elf have left the room. Probably running scared of this poor excuse of a man/demon.

“So does it make you feel superior to have minor little elves working for you? Or to beat on your youngest daughter?”

“That curse of a child is
not
my daughter. She couldn't even be born with Leviathan blood. She had to be a simple witch and she couldn't even get that right. Christina, well, everyone knows that
she
isn't mine. She has human written all over her.” I
didn't
know that actually.

“So, what do you want with me?”

“I have this theory, that if I drain all of your blood, while you are still alive, then I will gain your powers and be so powerful, Satan himself wouldn't be able to take me down. Let's put it to the test shall we?” He steps toward me and like a child having a tantrum in a shopping centre, I scream. Loud. Louder than I ever thought possible. He flinches and covers his ears. Three guards that kind of resemble goats but only on the bottom half of their bodies, come running into the room. They head straight for me and pin me down. One of them smacking me on the back of the head with something hard. My mouth snaps shut and I stop screaming. After blinking a few times to try and ease my aching head, anger boils through my blood and I turn my gaze on to the culprit.

His black eyes stare straight ahead, awaiting instruction from Levi and I snarl. “Son of a bitch.” I murmur. His eyes quickly glance at mine in shock before he composes himself and concentrates on being a 'good' guard.

“Bind her and hang her over the hole.” Levi orders. The guards undo the rope I am attached to and start to pull me towards a large dip in the ground on the far side of the room. I see a chain hanging above it and automatically know that is supposed to be for me.

I struggle against the guards vice grip, digging my feet into the gritty ground as they try to pull me forward. Getting merely a metre away from the hole, I snap my head backwards and accidentally connect with one of the guards faces, knocking him out cold. It really was an accident. I swear.

The other guards growl and a silver chain appears from no-where and they use it to tie my hands behind my back. I wince in pain at the not so gentle handling of my broken arm and cracked knuckle.

“Now, now Calissa. There is no need for violence. Simply comply, or die. Although, I cannot promise you will survive at the end of this anyway.” I can't even see him and I know he is smiling.

How can a guy go from being loving, caring and playful with his daughter and her best friend to beating on said daughter and wanting to slaughter said best friend?!
I don't know Cally, why don't ask him?
So I do.

“I never truly cared for you Calissa. I never truly loved Tessa either. She was somewhat of an inconvenience to me.”

              “You're a dick.”

“Yeah, I don't care.” He snaps his fingers and I am hoisted up into the air by the remaining two goat guards and the chain hanging from the ceiling, wraps around my ankles. They drop their hold on my top half and I flop downwards; feeling a snap in the top of my leg. I grit my teeth to stop from crying out. Though a small squeak leaves my lips.

Levi stalks up to me with a sadistic smile on his manic face. “Now, try not to make a sound, dear girl.”

One of the goat guards stand in front of me and using a knife, they slice down the front of my top, revealing my bra. If my hands weren't bound, I'd cover myself. Hell, if they weren't bound, I'd kick their frickin' arses!

Something shiny catches my eye and I look over to see Levi holding a beautiful looking sword with Amber coloured gems in the hilt. The sword is shiny and from where I am
hanging
, it looks silver or something along those lines.

“This is an Ethereal Sword. From Archangel Uriel no less. Did you know an angel can only be harmed by a sword of an Archangel's? Did you know that when I slice this blade down the centre of your body, it will
never
heal again. Not magically anyway.” His lips twitch up into a half smile.

I don't find the sword very beautiful anymore. In fact, the thought of that thing coming near me is enough to make me want to crap my pants. Levi takes another slow and steady step towards me. I gulp.

Oh my God, he is going to drain me of my blood and eat me alive!

I need help and I need it fast.

The only person I can think of right now is Jaxon. I need him here. I don't know why but maybe he will snap out of his twisted incubus brain and act human for once and save my skinny arse. Oh I wish he was here right now. Even just to see him one more time before I die.
