My worries only amplified when the phone rang again. I
just knew before I answered it that it was Flynn and Hudson again, and I
debated not even answering it.

Stop being stupid
, I told myself.
You’ll
never get a shot with either of them if you blow them off.

With a deep breath, I picked up the phone and said, “Hello.”

“Hey Amy,” Flynn greeted me. “We’re heading up to town
this afternoon and were wondering if you’d like to join us. You could show us
the best places for feed and supplies. We’re happy to drive.”

“Sure,” I made myself say, though I was nervous. We needed
a few things around the house and it would give me an excuse to grab them, as
well as an excuse to spend some time with Flynn and Hudson.

My dad wasn’t too pleased when I mentioned where I was
going and who I was going with, but thankfully he didn’t stop me and grumbled
that we needed milk. I knew he wasn’t afraid of me going out, but he was afraid
of me falling for some boy. All dads are.

“Thanks for driving me into town,” I told the guys
when I got in their truck. I’d pulled on my favorite pair of jeans, the ones
that gave my bum a nice lift and didn’t give me a muffin top. With it I was
wearing a pink plaid shirt and I put on a cowboy hat for good measure. It took
less time than doing my hair.

“Thanks for coming with us,” Flynn said while Hudson
drove. It was an hour into town, but the longer we drove, the more comfortable
I felt with the two men. I even allowed myself to flirt with them as we got
into town. It was tough, and I probably came across as more awkward than sexy,
but they laughed at my jokes and Flynn even held out his hand to help me get
out of the truck.

The town our ranch was technically part of wasn’t very
big and catered to ranchers, but everyone was friendly and they had most everything
we needed. The rest we got from Amazon and had it shipped to the local post
office, which I informed the guys of as well.

“How about some dinner while we’re here?” Hudson
offered as we walked by The Saloon. “Our treat.”

God, I wanted to say yes. I wanted to say yes so badly
it hurt, but I had to turn him down.

“I can’t,” I told him. “I need to get back home and
have a quick nap before I take the horse out tonight.”

“Tonight?” Flynn asked, his eyebrow raising as he
studied my face.

“Yeah, we’re having some trouble with the cougars,” I told
him. “And one of our hands said he spotted a couple bears out last night. It’s
my turn to keep an eye on things.”

“I don’t think the bears will cause you any trouble,”
Hudson said. “They are probably just passing through.”

“I don’t want to chance that,” I said. “We can’t afford
to lose any more cows. We had three killed already, and two more broke their
legs. Bears just add to that. I don’t want to have to do it, but if I see one
around the herd, I’ll have to put it down.”

The two men glanced at each other once again, but didn’t
say anything. They didn’t need to, though. I saw the worry on their face and I
didn’t know if I should reassure them that their herd would be safe once we got
rid of the problem. They knew that, though. I was sure they did.

“Just be careful,” Hudson said.

“You can usually scare them off with a warning shot,”
Flynn added. “And who knows, maybe the bears will scare off the cougars. They
usually go after fish anyway, so chances are they won’t hurt the cattle.”

“I know,” I agreed. “But I just can’t risk it. I
promised my dad.”

“We get it,” Hudson said. “Come on, let’s get you home
then.”

The ride back home was awkward and silent. I had no
clue what I’d done wrong, but neither man spoke the entire hour long trip back
to the ranch and I searched my mind for something to say, anything, but I could
find nothing. Something was wrong, but I knew I’d only make it worse by asking
them what that was.

“Be careful tonight,” Flynn offered me as I got out of
the truck, but that was all he said. No good-bye, no flirting, just words of
caution before I watched the two men drive off and me left standing there with
a carton of milk in my hands.

I tried to sleep before the sunset, but there was no chance.
I’d somehow ruined my shot with the two men, at least for now, and I had no
clue how I was going to fix it.

Patience
, I told myself as I saddled my horse.
Just
give them time and the awkwardness will go away.

What else could I do? I had to concentrate on the task
at hand and I forced the thoughts out of my mind as I loaded my rifle. I had a
long night ahead of me, and now I was hoping I saw no sign of anything but the
cows.

For most of the night, I was lucky. It was quiet, the
cows were grazing or sleeping, and I plodded my horse along the trail that cut
through our property. It wasn’t much, but Jose was out in the back and Miguel
was toward the west. I had the east and thankfully, it was quiet.

Until I saw it. In the light of the moon, two green
eyes glinted back at me. They weren’t the big dull eyes of a cow, but predator’s
eyes, bright and green.

Slowly I slipped my rifle off my shoulder. One tagged
cat might be all it took to scare the rest away and I didn’t want to lose my
shot.

But when the gun cocked, the cat took off toward the
fence. One noise and it was gone, but I wasn’t going to give up. Kicking at my
horse, we gave chase, forcing the cat to flee.

Easily it cleared the fence that separated our
property from Flynn and Hudson’s ranch, and I forced my horse over the fence to
follow. Something told me they wouldn’t want me killing the cat on their
property, but I was beyond caring. I kicked my horse faster and faster until
the cat darted left and I didn’t have time correct. We flew forward over the
crest of a hill and it wasn’t until we’d cleared it that I saw what had forced
the cat to turn.

The bears.

There were two of them, dead ahead of me, and when
they turned back to see what was coming toward them, they both rose on their
back feet and my eyes went wide. They were big, impossibly big and my horse
suddenly realized what lay ahead of us.

She was normally docile and good with other animals,
but bears weren’t just some other animal. Rushing to a stop, she reared up and
sent me flying before she took off for home, leaving me on the ground with two
huge bears approaching.

“Shit,” I mumbled, panic rising up within me. “Oh
shit.”

The gun
, I realized as I struggled to move, but
the fall had knocked the wind out of me. Pain shot through my back as I tried
to move and I prayed I wasn’t paralyzed, but right then that was the least of
my worries.

The bears were getting closer. I was an easy meal and
they were so close I could smell them.

Play dead
, was my next instinct, and it was a
lot easier than the first. Maybe if I stayed still, they wouldn’t want me and I
would be safe. With no other options, I closed my eyes and prayed that they
would leave me alone.

I waited for them to sniff me. I waited for them to
bite me. I tried to make peace with death, but moments passed and then more.
There were no bites, no sniffs, no pain, and suddenly I heard, “Amy, are you
okay?”

I recognized that voice. Deep and silky smooth, it was
Hudson who was speaking to me and I let my eyes flutter open.

“Look...” I stuttered. “Look out!”

Behind Hudson one of the bears remained and I was near
tears with fright. I was so scared that I hadn’t noticed that Hudson was
completely, utterly nude.

“What... what is going on?” I asked as I tried to get
up, but my back ached from the fall. My toes wiggled okay and I studied the
bear who approached Hudson’s side.

“We should probably talk,” Hudson said. “But let’s
head back to the barn.”

“Give me a minute,” I said. Between trying to get my
breath back and seeing what looked like a tame bear, I was sure I had suffered
a psychotic break or something.

“Come on,” Hudson said as he picked me up. “Flynn won’t
bite.”

“Flynn?” I muttered, but Hudson set me down on the
bears back and I went to scream, but the bear didn’t attack. He only started to
roam back to the stables and I got even more confused.

The walk back was long, and I tried to figure out just
what the hell was going on, but the more I thought about it, the less it made
sense. There had been two bears, and then suddenly there was Hudson and one
bear and Hudson had been nude.

I must have lost my mind in the fall. That, or I was
in a coma and this was some weird coma dream.

But it felt so real. The bear’s fur under my hands,
the smell of its musky body as we walked. It was like a fluffy horse and it
felt so real.

And Hudson had called the bear Flynn.

No
, I thought to myself when we neared the
tables.
That can’t be possible. That kind of thing doesn’t exist.

And yet, there was no other explanation. None that
made sense. Or at least, none that made less sense somehow.

“Do you think you broke anything?” Hudson asked once
we got inside the stable.

“No,” I mumbled as he helped me off the back of the
bear. Even the horses didn’t seemed spooked and I really worried I’d lost it.

“I’m glad to hear it,” Flynn said and everything
changed all over again. The bear was gone, but in his place stood Flynn. Very
human and very naked.

“This isn’t real.” I muttered as I collapsed into a hay
stack. “This can’t be real. I’m in a coma.”

“It’s very real,” Hudson tried to assure me, but I couldn’t
believe it. “We were hoping you wouldn’t find out, at least not yet.”

“But... it’s impossible,” I said as I buried my face
in my hands. Not just because I couldn’t believe it, but there were two very
naked men in front of me and it was starting to get a bit overwhelming.

“We should have been honest with you,” Flynn said. “We’re
what you call... well... werebears.”

“Like werewolves,” Hudson added. “It’s kind of a
family curse.”

“Wait, you’re related?” I asked.

“Not really,” Flynn clarified. “Maybe a few hundred
years back, but we both carry the curse. It’s a third son thing and so we
assume we share a common ancestor along the way.”

“This is surreal,” I mumbled, starting to come around
to the idea. “But... why were you out there?” I asked. “Like that?”

“To scare off the cougars,” Flynn told me. “So far it’s
been working pretty well. We can change at will, as long as the moon is out.”

“We really should have told you,” Hudson said. “It
wasn’t fair to keep it from you.”

“No, I... I think I get it,” I said, and it was the
truth. “You don’t owe me anything.”

“But we don’t want that to be the case,” Flynn said. “The
truth is, we both really like you, Amy.”

“Wait, what?” I mumbled. Sure, there had been
flirting, but I really thought I’d lost my chance.

“We share everything,” Hudson said. “And when we both
saw you, we both wanted you.”

“We both share a thing for curvy women,” Flynn
confirmed. “And you’re so sweet and funny and pretty. We would have told you
before we did anything... but...”

“It’s a little late for that,” Hudson said with a
laugh.

“Wait, let me get this straight,” I said. “You’re both
werebears and you both like me and you both want to be with me? I really am in
a coma.”

“Please,” Hudson implored me. “Let us prove to you
that we’re serious.”

“We’ll make sure you know this is real,” Flynn said as
he joined me in the hay. “Please.”

I don’t know what came over me. The fall, the knock on
the head, seeing them naked, but when the word “Okay,” slipped out of my lips,
I didn’t regret it.

If this was all some coma dream, I was at least going
to let myself enjoy it. I wanted both men and they both wanted me. Why should I
deny myself that?

Of course I was nervous, I’d never been with one man –
let alone two, but when Hudson joined us in the hay, I let myself shiver with
anticipation.

Flynn’s lips were the first to meet mine and he kissed
me softly, gently, and sweetly. I had expected hot and ferocious, but he was
kind and giving as he explored my mouth with his tongue.

My lips had barely left Flynn’s before Hudson used a
strong finger to turn my mouth towards his. His kiss was deeper, hungrier, and
full of lust. The perfect complement to Flynn’s, and I savored the taste of him
on my tongue.

But as we parted, it wasn’t me who Flynn moved to
kiss. Instead, he leaned over my and his lips met Hudson’s while I watched.

Their kiss did something to me that I never would have
expected. Watching the two men as their tongues danced furiously made my belly
warm and my sex wet. I’d never even imaged two men kissing before, but seeing
it in front of me was hotter than I thought possible.

“Holy...” I mumbled, but I didn’t get to finish my
thought before their lips were back on me again, this time beginning to explore
down my body. Fingers moved to unbutton my shirt and with two of them working,
it took no time for them pull open my shirt all the way. Before I could even
ask them to do it, they pulled my bra down and both men began to suck on my
pert, pink nipples.

“Yes,” I moaned as their tongues lavished my full
breasts with attention. “Oh God... yes...”

While they sucked, hands found my own and guided them
to the two hard cocks at my side. I was inexperienced, but taking hold of the
thick, hard shafts ignited a fire within me and my body hummed with desire as I
began to stroke them.

“Have you ever had two men at once before?” Flynn
asked me between the kisses he spread over my skin.

“No,” I admitted. And then I realized I should tell
them the whole truth. “I’ve... I’ve never been with anyone before.”

Both men paused at that and I worried the fantasy was
over, but they only smiled and began to kiss me all over again.
