All of the sudden, Grace let out a yowl.

I turned around to see Clint under her, squeezing her breasts.

John was behind her, with an odd look on his face.

I drank my martini and watched from a chair.

Grace whined for more.

“Fuck me harder!” she screamed.

I managed not to giggle, though it wasn’t easy.

Both John and Clint were well endowed.

I couldn’t imagine there was much room left in her.

Clint smacked Grace in the face.

John froze as did I.

“Hit me again,” she begged.

He smacked her again, then kissed her hard on the mouth.

“Fuck me harder, John!” she yelled.

He looked down at her.

“Are you sure?”

“Fuck it like you’re mad at it.”

Clint said.

I could handle no more.

I was in blinding pain trying to hold in my laughter.

It wasn’t that I thought less of what turned on Grace and Clint, but I found the dialogue in porn movies hilarious.

At least from the balcony, I could muffle my laughter and still watch.

Once outside, I lit a smoke and watched as John gave Grace all he was worth.

The poor guy was sweating.

Grace left no one wondering what was going on in the room.

“Fuck me!

Fuck my ass!

Fuck it hard!”

I stepped around the corner and with my hand over my mouth, allowed myself to giggle.

When I heard another loud smack, the laughter stopped.

“Got one that likes it rough?” a woman asked for the next door balcony.

“I don’t get it.”

“When you get into kinkier and kinkier things, sometimes pain is the next step it takes to orgasm.

I assure you, her man would not be smacking her if it didn’t do anything to her.

I bet they’re into that S&M stuff too.

I’ve heard amazing orgasms come out of that.”

She leaned over the railing toward me.

“I just can’t get past wanting to beat the shit out of someone for hitting me.

Sort of a reflex I guess.”

“Agreed.”

“I’m sorry,” she held out her hand, leaning over the railing.

“I’m Savannah.”

“Candy,” I said shaking her hand.

“Guess we’re neighbors.”

After one loud yell by Grace, it was obvious she had reached her climax.

“Good, maybe I can get some sleep now.”

I snickered.

Savannah smiled.

“So can the rest of the building.”

“Sorry,” I frowned.

“Don’t be.

I’m jealous.

Sounds like a ton of fun in there tonight.”

“Uncle!” John said laughing as he joined me.

“You gonna make it?” I teased.

“I need sleep.

I think my balls are chafed.”

He looked down between his legs.

Savannah started to giggle.

I made introductions.

“Savannah, it was nice to meet you, but I’m exhausted.”

“Don’t be a stranger.”

She called out as we went back inside.

“Thanks for a great night, Candy.”

Grace kissed my cheek.

The men shook hands.

It took John and I less than a minute to strip the top layer of blankets off the bed and climb in.

We were both exhausted.

“Hell of a party, Ms. Kavana.”

“Yes it was.”

I kissed him and put my head on his chest, drifting off immediately.

FRIENDLY ADVICE

“I trust your party went well?” Janette said trying to push more food my way.

“Too well.

I want to crawl back under the sheets.”

“But you had fun?”

She eyed me as she sipped at her coffee.

Why had I agreed to breakfast?

“Yes. Lots.

But Janette, you spent so much money on me already and that spread last night was crazy.

All the Cristal, the sushi and things.

It must cost you a fortune.”

Janette leaned in and smiled.

“Daddy owned some land in Texas.

That land happened to have oil on it.

I’m an only child.

So when he died… well, let’s just say, I don’t ever have to worry about money.

James and I already make a nice living so we have all the extra funds to live as extravagantly as we wish.

There’s no sin in sharing that with beloved friends.”

Oil money.

That explained how she knew so many rich folks and celebrities.

She was brought up rich.

“Well, I can’t thank you enough.

You made me quite popular last night.

Even if it means I’m a zombie today.”

“Honey, go grab that book you were reading and go down to the beach.

I promise I’ll leave you alone unless you look like you are burning.

Then I’ll turn you over myself if I have to.

But get some rest.

I just wanted to make sure you were okay and enjoying yourself.”

“How could I not, Janette?

This is a little slice of heaven here.

The food is tremendous.

The room is beautiful as are most of the people here.”

“Good.

It makes me happy to make you happy.

And for what it’s worth, I like John.

He’s a good match for you.

He’s smart, ambitious, open minded and the man’s head over heels for you.

I’d go on and on about his incredible body, but that you know.”

“Oh God do I know.

I still look at him and wonder how I managed to snag him up.

He’s been so sweet to me.”

“Don’t ever think you’re not good enough for someone.

You’re smart, beautiful, fun and so personable.

You are a catch and nothing less.”

Janette sounded as if she were scolding me.

“It’s not like that, Janette.

I’m just in awe of him.”

I smiled.

“I know I’m good enough, it’s just that after my marriage to that troll…he’s a god.

It seems surreal sometimes.

He’s asked me to move in with him.”

“And?” She sat with both hands on her coffee cup, eyeing me.

“And, I haven’t really answered him yet.”

“Do you love him?”

I chewed my bottom lip.

“Candy?

Do you love him?”

“I’ve been fighting it,” I admitted.

“Why on earth would you do that?”

Janette leaned back in her chair.

“Because, I’ve been waiting for something bad to happen.

Remember I was in love with my husband when I married him.

I guess I just don’t trust my judgment in this department.”

The thought made my stomach ache.

“Candy, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that he’s madly in love with you.

Clearly, he’s okay with the extra-curricular activities.

If he treats you well, I say move in with him.

You don’t have to get engaged right away.

As a case in point, you should probably tell him you’ll move in, but that you’re not ready for nuptials any time soon.

That way he’s not getting on his knee your first week in.

He will know to take it slow.”

“I think he’s gotten that message loud and clear.”

I laughed.

“Never hurts to solidify the point, Candy.

Lovers have to be blatant with each other.

Leave no margin for error.

Make all expectations clear, that way the poor guy doesn’t screw things up just because he’s not psychic.”

I nodded.

“Enough of the serious talk.

Now go, get your book, take on the beach and relax.

I’ll be down in a bit to see that you aren’t burning if you fall asleep.”

She stood and started shooing me away.

I walked around the table and threw my arms around her.

“I love you, Janette.

You’re a really good friend.”

“I love you too, dear.

We are fantastic friends, which is why I brought you here.

No run along before I drag you to the sand.”

I smiled and walked away.

I retreated to my room where I wound my hair into a bun, threw on a tank top and bikini bottoms and quickly made my way to the beach.

Exhausted, I managed to finish the book, discovering who the serial killer was right before I passed out in the warmth of the sun.

“Sugar, you’re going to burn your tits.”

My eyes were blurry from sleeping face up in the sun.

“Also, you sound like a mountain lion with that snore of yours.

We really wore you out last night.”

Though I couldn’t focus yet, the southern accent clued me in enough to know that Grace had just taken a seat next to me.

She couldn’t let me sleep?

“Really, you’re going to burn your tits.

Roll over and toast your cute little behind for a while.”

“Hey Grace.”

I sat up looking around.

I was reassured to find Janette watching me.

I gave her a wave.

“I actually have a friend keeping an eye on my degree of redness.”

“I want to thank you again for last night.

I’m tired too, I’m just going to settle down next to you.”

“Ladies,” my cabana boy, ever attentive, stood over us, “care for some lemonade?”

“Thank you,” I said taking a glass.

“Thanks, doll.”

Grace wiggled her boobs at him.

I tried very hard not to roll my eyes.

“God, I think I’m still drunk from last night.”

Grace giggle as she swung her bikini top over her head.

“You’re too much,” I snickered.

Now laying on my stomach, I found myself bored.

I wanted another book.

I noticed one in Grace’s bag.

“What are you reading?”

“A Demon Awaits.

I really love the library here.

I discover so many new authors.”

“I just finished Yoder’s Farm.

I need to go get another good book.”

Grace dug in her bag, retrieving her book.

She handed it to me.

“Let’s just swap.

That book was recommended to me, but it was already checked out.

Well, you checked it out minutes before I got to the library.”

“Did you like A Demon Awaits?”

I asked swapping books with her.

“Very much.

The writer is pretty good.

It’s the third book by him I’ve read.

I finished one a few days ago from the erotica section.

It was called Semper Fi.

I highly recommend that book, very steamy.”

I tried to make a mental note of the book.

Having never read erotica, I thought a good recommendation should be a great place to start.
