"Uh-huh." Tobias eyed himskeptically . "So, my arm is adequate? And if I were to visit a few shops I know of, looking for new toys... you would be happy enough to come along so I could try them out?"

"I wouldn't want Sir to buy anything that wasn't exactly to his liking." Noah grinned impishly. He must have learned that look from Phan.

Tobias nodded and finally did up his pants, though he remained stretched out on the floor. "And if I took you out to these shops in... say, your collar and little else? As a reward, perhaps. You would behave and take your whipping as I ordered?"

"You know I would do exactly as you asked of me, sir. Eagerly." Noah's voice was still playful. "You like that idea? Leading me around Paris half-nude at your heel? I'm not likely to run into anyone I know in Paris."

Tobias grinned. "I am."

Noah laughed. "Oh, my God."

"Oh, no, they never call me that anymore." Tobias finally had to laugh, long and loud. He pulled himself up to sitting and then onto the couch where he wrapped himself around Noah for a long kiss. "I will show you off, pet. Just wait. But for now? You need to dress, clean this up, and get more water. Earn your praise, my peacock."

Chapter 17

If the pilots had any indication of what had gone on in the cabin during the flight, they didn't let on.

Tobias thanked them and tipped them generously, and then it was off to their hotel. Noah spent most of the lengthy cab ride alternating between leaning out the window and pointing at things and trying to swallow Tobias' tonsils. He was electric -- wound up like a clock, eyes bright, and completely unable to decide what to do next.

Tobias thought his reaction to be rather adorable.

Dinner that night was light, and Tobias couldn't recall the last time Noah had crashed so hard, falling asleep almost before his head hit the pillow.

They slept in, indulging themselves in the luxury of the large bed, the lush room, and the oversized tub and shower. They ate breakfast in their room, taking in the view of Parisian rooftops and planning what to do first. Noah had really needed his morning spanking to settle him down, but after that he was more than ready to sightsee.

They walked a lot, down quaint narrow streets and through busy markets, and eventually they ended up where Tobias had intended, outside Notre Dame. They took the tour, inside and out, with Noah snapping pictures whenever he could. He commented, as another American tourist took their picture with the gates of the huge cathedral in the background, that it was the first time they'd ever had their picture taken together. Tobias just smiled at Noah's sentimental streak, thankful that he had it.

Toward the later part of the afternoon, they took theMétro to theTrocadéro and walked from thePalais deChaillot to the Seine, taking in the long view of the Eiffel Tower. It was a lovely walk, and Noah kept hold of Tobias' hand the whole way, probably enjoying being able to do so openly. After crossing the Pontd'Iéna they headed for the tower itself and waited in line with the rest of the tourists to climb up and get a view.

Tobias' timing had been deliberate. The view from the tower was best right before sunset, and they were not disappointed. The air was clear and the panoramic view was just what he'd remembered it to be.

Noah took a few more pictures, but mostly he just leaned on the railings and stared. It took nightfall, and Noah's own growling stomach, to finally convince him that it was time to go.

Tobias had chosen a quiet restaurant, one that his local friends had taken him to years before, and they sat at a small table off in a corner. Though their combined understanding of French was barely above high school level, they wrestled with the menu and managed to place their orders without too much difficulty.

Noah had even convinced him it was all right to sample a glass of French wine.

"I've never been anywhere so... old," Noah said after the waiter had left them. "So historic. It really makes you realize how young America is, you know?" He poured water from a bottle into his glass and took a drink. He'd been insistent from the moment they left home that they not drink the water.

Apparently his sister had told him horror stories.

Nodding, Tobias sipped the wine and smiled. "It does. However, there are truly modern parts as well, though hidden away. Well, the ones I mean are hidden; not unlike our club, which attempts to look older than it is."

"And when will we be visiting these hidden away places?" Noah asked coyly. He lifted the napkin off their basket of bread and offered some to Tobias.

"After some shopping -- you have nothing suitable to wear, pet." Tobias smirked and tilted his head,

considering the question. "A couple of days, I expect. I'll have to make some calls, get the necessary approval."

Noah raised an eyebrow over his water glass. "Nothing suitable to wear? My, my, I am intrigued. I can't wait."

"You'll have to," Tobias teased. "Because I won't even give a hint. Now, what would you like to do this evening? Any ideas, anything catch your eye in a brochure or something? I was thinking we'd try for an early morning, however, so keep that in mind."

Noah squinted at him but didn't say anything more about not getting a hint. "Well, sir, if you want an early morning, then maybe we should just take a nice walk near the hotel to digest, have a cafe aulait and turn in early. I want to thankyou properly for showing me that beautiful view from the tower. I really hope my pictures come out."

Tobias hoped the pictures turned out, too, but he was far more interested in the view across from him.

"And what would a proper thankyou be?" he asked, leaning forward slightly.

"Something slow," Noah suggested, leaning forward a bit himself and grinning. "Something unhurried and hot and all about you. Something that involves, let's say, my tongue and your ass?"

Tobias raised an eyebrow for show, but he was fairly sure they both knew that the walk had just been curtailed to a brief stroll. His cock twitched and began to fill. "I see. I do believe you know me rather well," he said, his voice dropping a little. "A thankyou that will benefit us both, if the current state of my interest is any indication."

Leaving without embarrassment would be an issue if he wasn't careful.

"That's good to hear." Noah winked, leaning back again. "I heard the hotel has a sauna, maybe we could check that out after.Oooh . Food." Noah moved his hands from the table so the waiter could set their plates down. "Smells so good. Doesn't look like what I ordered, though; I must have misinterpreted something. Oh, well! I'm sure it will be delicious." He laughed and grinned across the table. "Think you can eat?"

"Of course I can eat. I just can't walk." Tobias picked up the escargot fork and gestured with it. "Behave or you'll be getting your ass warmed before you..." He trailed off and smirked.

"Oh, and that would be such a shame. I'll be good, sir." Noah smirked right back and picked up his fork. After a bite he added, "Oh, it's some kind of fish. It's good."

"What were you expecting?" Tobias asked curiously. He lifted a morsel to his mouth and had to stifle a moan as the rich flavor exploded across his tongue. "Oh, my."

"I thought I'd ordered lamb. So much for my French. But this is..." Noah took another bite. "Perfect.

Yummy. Want a bite?" Noah held his fork out to Tobias.

Tobias smiled and leaned forward to take the offered bit of fish. Noah didn't feed him at home, and Tobias found the entire thing oddly romantic and little amusing.

"Oh, it's good," he said, tasting the lemon and delicate seasonings. "It's trout." His smile widened. "Even better than the one we shared the first time we met."

Noah grinned and raised an eyebrow. "Just about six months ago now, wasn't it? I remember my first impression of you very well." He sat back and sipped his water, then set it on the table again. "I thought you were handsome, eccentric, and had a huge ego." He laughed. "Little did I know you'd earned the ego. I found that out that very evening, didn't I?"

Grinning, Tobias nodded. "You thought I was eccentric? I thought you needed to learn a fast lesson.

And I thought you were in desperate need of grounding, and of being taken down a peg or two." His smile broadened and he reached for his wine glass again. "Just look at us now, pet."

"Indeed, look at us now," Noah said, raising his eyes to meet Tobias' for a brief moment. He smiled.

"Look at us now." He cleared his throat, lowered his eyes again and tucked back into his dinner. "I still think you're eccentric, sir. You've brought me to Paris in the most pampered and indulgent manner possible, after all. In your case, I think a little eccentricity is a good thing."

"I'm not eccentric, but I am indulgent," Tobias said easily. He sipped the wine and set his glass down carefully. "You, however, just earned yourself a stroke of my crop -- when I can get a new one." He smiled to himself, mostly just enjoying the ease of conversation, but also anticipating both the flogging and the shopping trip that would precede it.

"Yes, sir," Noah acknowledged, but he didn't seem terribly repentant. "It seems like it's been longer than six months, doesn't it, sir? What a ride."

Considering that, Tobias continued to eat his beef dish, relieved that it was, indeed, beef. "It's been intense," he said. "Wonderful. You've really come a long way. We have, together." He glanced across the table and cocked his head to the side, wondering if they were about to start the dance of negotiations, if they should.

"You know, if you had told me six months ago that I'd be in that cage by my birthday, I'd have probably never signed on with you in the first place." Noah grinned. "But Bradford told me my trust would be well-placed with you, and he was right. He was absolutely right."

"He usually is," Tobias said dryly. "And we're usually happy with it." He set down his fork and pushed ahead with the topic frankly. "So, is there anything like that which would keep you from signing with me now? Any more cages lingering in your mind?"

"Nothing, sir." Noah said immediately. "I'm sure you'll set aside some time to discuss this thoroughly, but as things stand, I have every intention of signing with you again if you'll have me. I'll be interested in hearing your thoughts and discussing them."

Tobias relaxed slightly. "I'm pleased to hear that," he said softly. "I admit I'm looking forward to discussing the terms of our new contract, to setting out what we're hoping for." He picked up his fork again and began to eat, a warm feeling forming in his belly.

Noah took the last bite of his fish and set his fork down. "I'm sure we'll come to an agreement easily, sir," he said almost absently as he picked up the dessert menu. "Oh, my God, chocolate."

"Don't eat so much you make yourself sick," Tobias cautioned before he could stop himself. Quickly, he added, "And, yes, I'm sure we'll agree -- but I actually enjoy the process of talking it out."

Noah raised an eyebrow and glanced over the top of the menu in Tobias' direction, but he was careful

not to raise his eyes too high. "I think this thing is called a 'chocolate volcano.' I think you should split it with me, sir. It sounds gooey and messy."

Tobias tried not to snort. Noah really liked gooey and messy. "No, thankyou," he said. "I'm saving room for something else."

Noah froze with a grin on his lips. "Oh?" He set the menu on the table. "Maybe I'll hold off on the sweets," he said coyly.

"Up to you," Tobias said with a teasing smile. Walking was once more going to be a problem. "Don't let me stop you -- you can eat whatever you want." The last comment was delivered with as much sly innuendo as he could manage, given the setting. He would not intentionally get them in trouble or cause a scene -- but he'd certainly torture them both as much as he could.

Noah coughed and sipped his water. "I think you were right, sir. I wouldn't want to overdo it, given that I have an evening nosh waiting for me at home." He set his water glass down on the table, licked his lips, and ran his finger lightly around the rim.

"Oh, you tease!" Tobias laughed and finished his water, then reached for the bottle to pour more. "Just for that, I'm going to take my time with the rest of this and make you sit there. No talking, unless it's about something other than getting your tongue in my ass and my cock in yours."

"Sir!" Noah gasped. He blushed and seemed caught between horror and laughter. He actually looked around as if to make sure no one had overheard.

"English, pet. And even if they did understand, does it matter that they know we like to fuck?" He watched Noah's color carefully, trying not to laugh.

Noah's lips twitched, and he hid behind his water glass and took a quick sip. "No, sir. I suppose it doesn't matter if they know that we fuck, what with this being the city of indulgence, but... well, I've been ordered to silence on the subject. Jesus, you could make a sailor blush."

"Thankyou," Tobias said happily. "I do try. Oh, and getting used to silence might be a good idea, boy."

"As you wish, sir," Noah said and nodded slowly. He picked up his water glass and took another sip.

Tobias shook his head. "Not for me, pet. I like talking to you. It's just that one of the places I want to take you requires that thesubmissives don't talk. At all."

"Oh." Noah smiled. "Well, that sounds like a very deep evening for me. I look forward to it."

"It should be fun," Tobias agreed. "For me, anyway. Some of the people who should be there I haven't seen in ten years, and it will be nice to show you off. They take asubmissive'sdemeanor very seriously, though, so watch your eyes and your posture. I won't hesitate to correct you -- immediately, harshly, and publicly."

Noah nodded. "I will do my very best to make you proud, sir, as always. Especially around people you haven't seen in so long."
