He pitched in and helped.  It was grueling work.  And everyone stank like the dip.  It was just gone six when the last sheep went through the trough.  Amanda nodded and smiled.
“Thank you everyone.”  They all greeted and headed to their bunkhouse.  David smiled and hugged Amanda as they walked off.
“So you went for a little dip Miss MacGuire.”
“How embarrassing.  Gary grabbed me by the hair.”  Amanda grinned.
“A first.  But you did get the round of applause.”  Nicola chuckled and nodded.
“You won’t get any ticks Victoria.”  Victoria grinned.  Duncan ran up.
“Oh ladies.”  They both turned and he gave them each an envelope.
“Whoa!”  Duncan grinned as he walked off.

“And if you are free tomorrow I would like to employ you.  At your hourly rate.”  Victoria grinned and nodded.
“Digging?”
“Yes.  Would you like to join me?”  They both nodded.  Amanda chuckled.
“I am glad you joined us.”
“I haven’t done that before.  I didn’t realize that trough is that deep.  When you think a dip you think of a dog and a little tub and you gently dip it.  But not the volumes like today.”
“And we do this once a year on every spread.  Keeps everyone nice and fit.  I wonder what is for supper?”  Victoria giggled.
“Darn I am starved.  I hope Mrs. Dudley cooked a whole cow.”  David grinned and nodded.

David drove everyone home.  They walked in.
“Out!  Right through that door!”  David roared with laughter as Mrs. Dudley marched them all straight through the house out of the door.
“And supper will be here in two seconds.”  They all grinned as she walked inside.  David took a whiff of his armpits.  They all roared with laughter.
“We will have to anti dip tonight.”  Nicola chuckled and nodded.  Mrs. Dudley walked out with the huge roasting dish.  She was in and out.  They soon dished up for themselves.  Amanda nodded as she took her first mouthful.
“I love a stew.  I needed a stew.”  They all nodded.
“Don’t touch the animals before you have showered.”  They all nodded.  They finished their meal and all headed for their shower.

David stood under the shower and smiled.  They didn’t smell.  They absolutely stank.  He let out a little chuckle as he though
t of Victoria falling in to the trough.  It wasn’t funny.  And it could be dangerous.  But it was something that would never happen again.  And it was quite an experience.  He hopped out of the shower and got dressed in his clean clothes.  He ran down the stairs.  Amanda ran up.
“Don’t touch me.”  She gurgled with laughter as she ran and went to have her shower.

David walked to little Melody and she hopped straight in to his shirt.  He sat in the kitchen and had a cup of coffee.
Amanda walked through and smiled.
“All nice and fresh.  And you wash and you wash and you wash.”  David chuckled and nodded.
“I did exactly the same.  And I didn’t spend much time down there.”  Amanda nodded.
“Did Mister Emerson pay you for the day?”  Amanda nodded.
“He did.  You?”  David chuckled and nodded.
“I come home with an envelope in my back pocket every day.  He paid me till six.  Which was really not necessary.”
“I would have done the same.”
“I keep putting the envelopes in to the drawer.  I have to do a count and do a deposit.”  Amanda nodded.
“On track?”
“Way over target.  I had the church booked today.  Mister Emerson’s wife booked it for us.”
“I am glad.  Just tell me when.  I need a dress and loads of other things.”  David nodded and smiled and hugged Amanda in his arm.
“Hello Melody.  I saw the wriggle.”  David smiled and looked down.
“She is looking up.  Oh there we go.  Eyes are closed.”  Amanda chuckled and peeped in his shirt.
“Loves her Dad to bits.”  David chuckled and nodded as he rubbed little Melody.

Nicola and Victoria ran down the stairs.
They both sat and counted their days wages.  Amanda smiled as they counted.
“Is there danger pay included?”  Victoria chuckled.
“Thank you Dad.”
“We need to get a tin.”  Amanda chuckled.
“You girls are actually supposed to be on holiday.  Which reminds me.  I need to spend a little time in town.”
“Oh we could come with.”  David chuckled.
“We will all have to go.  Shop together and then split up.  Christmas is almost here.”
“Saturday?”  David nodded and smiled.
“This time I am taking the trailer.”  Amanda chuckled and nodded.

CHAPTER
20

It was Friday.  David drove with the family.  He dropped Victoria and Nicola off with Don and Claire.  He drove Amanda to her Friday evening session.  He smiled as he watched her perform.  He loved what he saw.  He looked up as Charles and Penny sat down with him.
“Oh this is a nice surprise.”  Penny chuckled.
“Charles can you give me a hand tomorrow?  I need to move the suite.”  Charles nodded.
“And I have a little something to show Amanda.  I finished my quilt.  Made a set.”
“Good.”
“I used the fabrics that Amanda gave me.  Oh it is so beautiful.”  David smiled.  Penny seemed to be a different person.

Amanda finished her session and came over to David.  He hugged her and kissed her.
“Oh this is a nice surprise.”  Penny chuckled and nodded.
“Charles is going to lend a hand to load the suite.”
“Oh there goes the boot room.”  David roared with laughter.
“And if I can get two desks I am going to get them to deliver and we can load those as well.”  Amanda nodded.
“And we all have our shopping lists.”  David nodded and smiled.
“Have to get it all tomorrow.”  Amanda chuckled.
“Please don’t let me forget wrapping paper.  By the yards.  I think I should wrap Nicola up and hand her to Victoria for Christmas.”  David roared with laughter.
“Are they getting in your hair?”
“No but it would be such a surprise.”  Penny gurgled with laughter.
“I can plonk a big bow on Charles’ head and hand him to you for Christmas Penny.”  Penny grinned.
“How big is that bow?”  David roared with laughter.
“Off to get the girls.  See you tomorrow?”  They both nodded as they walked out and waved.

Amanda smiled and looked
at David.
“The girls are sleeping at your Mom’s.”
“Oh?”  He grinned as he drove.
“That is a big smile.”
“Oh I am going to have my way with you.”  Amanda looked at David.
“Well you see.  This is how I see it.  I doubt that we will ever be able to use the kitchen counter.”  Amanda nodded.
“We use it almost every day.”
“Not for what I have in mind.”  Amanda looked at David with a quizzical little look.
“Oh?  Oh!”  David roared with laughter.  Amanda chuckled.
“Can’t the neighbors see?”
“Nope.”
“Mmmmmhhhh.”  David chuckled as they drove up to the house.
“And I thought we might like an evening on our own.  Just for a change.”  Amanda smiled and nodded.

“I am so used to being on my own.  I got a little selfish.  With company it is different.  But it is a whole lot nicer.”
“I know what you mean.  Even though I have always had Victoria with me you do tend to get a little selfish.  With a few things.”
“I know.  So easy when you are on your own.  You think about yourself.  But when you have a little somebody it forces you to think about others as well.”
“You aren’t selfish at all.  I have seen the way you handle those animals.  You dish out the love.”  Amanda smiled and kissed him in the neck.
“But so do you.”

They hopped out of the van and walked in to the house.
“Have to put this place up for rental.  By the end of the month.  I don’t want to have to come and check on it all the time.  Not that I do.  The folks and Charles do.  But I would like it to generate a little income.”  Amanda nodded.
“And it will.  Perfect location really.”  David nodded and smiled.

Right young lady.  I have the evening planned.  The first stop is a nice long bath.  Which I will be sharing with you.”
“Really?”
“Uhu.  And then I am going to make love to you.  The focus tonight is on you.”
“Oh David.  I enjoy the way we make love.”  David smiled.
“I want to take you over the edge and way beyond.”  He pulled Amanda in to his arms.  He slowly kissed her.  She smiled as he walked her through to the bedroom.

David filled the bath up and added a drop of scented oil.  He walked to the bedroom and pulled Amanda up from the bed.  It was a slow and passionate dance as they walked to the bathroom.  Their kisses were heated and sensual.  Their clothes slowly disappeared on the way to the bathroom.  Amanda smiled as she hopped in the bath.  David hopped in the bath and they both got comfortable.

They kept letting water out and adding more hot water.  Amanda lay with her head on David’s chest.
“Now this is the life.”
“I love the girls around.  And I know if we closed the door we could do this at home.  But I wanted it to be just you and me for a change.”
“Yes.  And we don’t have to scramble into pajamas in the morning.”  David chuckled and nodded.

They hopped out of the bath and David wrapped a towel around Amanda.  He had a towel around his hips.  Amanda started walking to the bedroom.  David picked her up and she gurgled with laughter.
“David.”  He walked to the bedroom.
“Pick up the two pillows please.”  She reached down and took the pillows and the towel slipped down.  David lifted her up a little and started licking and laving her nipple.  Amanda groaned quietly.  He walked through to the kitchen.
“Now pop those two pillows on the counter.”
“David the lights are all off.  Don’t you want a light on?”
“No thanks.”  He popped her on to the pillow.  He took the spare pillow and put it behind her.

“Hungry?”
“Starved.”
“Are you?”  David nodded.  He stood in front of Amanda and smiled.  He slowly undid her towel.
“David?”  He leaned forward and started to kiss her.  He ran his hand down her breasts and all the way down to between her legs.  He slowly started moving his hand.  Amanda groaned as he kissed her.  He eased his finger in to her body and slowly moved.  Amanda was almost panting with pleasure.  He moved down and kissed her breasts and nipped her nipples.  She slowly leaned back against the pillow.  He took her ankles in to his hands and lifted her legs on to the counter.  He went down on her and started to lick and lave between her legs.  Amanda groaned as he brought her to an orgasm.  She moved her legs and put them over his shoulders.

As he licked Amanda s
tarted moving against his mouth.  He held her on the bottom and lifted her up as she moved.  She groaned and groaned.  He slowly let her down and put her legs down.  He pulled her closer and entered her body.  Amanda was almost like a rag doll.  She had no energy left.  It felt as if she was drained of all energy.  David thrust into her body over and over again.  He took her off of the counter and stood her up and leaned her over the counter.  He entered her and she almost cried out with pleasure.  He thrust into her and felt as he ejaculated.  He leaned over and kissed her in the neck.  He gave her the tiniest little love bite in the neck where no one would see.  He held on to Amanda.  He soon turned her around.  Amanda put her arms around David.
“I want you on that counter.”
“Me?”  Amanda nodded.  David hopped up on the counter.
“And why am I here?”
“Because I am not finished.”  He grinned.

Amanda smiled as she stood in front of David and took his shaft in to her hands and started making love to him with her mouth and her tongue.  David groaned and groaned.  He leaned back on the cushion.  He felt her working her magic.  He held her head as she licked and sucked.  He started to groan.
“Amanda.  Stop.  Stop!”  She looked up and he lifted her right off of the floor into his lap.  Amanda sat and rode David.  They both groaned as they climaxed together.  Amanda clung on to David.
“Wow!”  He chuckled.
“Now that was wow!”
“And I thought you were hungry.”
“Oh I was.  Very!”  She chuckled as she eased herself off of David and off of the counter.  David hopped off of the counter and put the towel around his hips.  Amanda put her towel on and put it around her body.

They both took a pillow.
“Bed time Mister MacGuire.  May I interest you in a little pudding?”  Amanda giggled as she started running down the passage.  David chuckled as they got to the bedroom.  They hopped straight in to bed after taking their towels off.  David held her in his arms.
“I have never slept in the nude.  This is a first for me.”  Amanda nodded.
“Slept in my jeans.  Jammies and a tracksuit.  But never in my birthday suit.”  David chuckled.  He held her in his arms.
“You did a lovely session tonight.  Penny and Charles were very impressed.”  Amanda ran her hand down his cheek.
“Thank you.”  He smiled and kissed her before they both drifted off to sleep.

CHAPTER
21

David groaned as Amanda’s cell phone rang early in the morning.  He answered the call.
“David MacGuire.”
“Hoi!”  David chuckled.
“Victoria!”  She chuckled.
“Dad why are you answering the Mom person’s phone?”
“Because the Mom person is sprawled like a star across the bed.”  Victoria chuckled.
“Can we go shopping with Gran and Grandma Claire?”
“Where are you going?”
“All sorts of shops.  And then we will end up at the mall.”
“Sure sweetheart.  Just let us know where to meet.”
“Will do Dad.  See you later.”
“See you later sweetheart.”  David cut the call and chuckled.
“And I am not sprawled out like a star.”  David chuckled.
“I am going to fetch the coffee.”
“Appreciated.”  He chuckled.
“That was quite sweet.  Victoria phoned you.  The Mom person.  To ask whether she can go shopping with the rest of the gang.  She calls you the Mom person.  Really sweet.”  Amanda chuckled.
“She would not say that if she saw me now.”
“Now that is kind of sweet.”  Amanda chuckled as he climbed out of bed and walked down the passage in his towel.
“I fancy that view!”  He whipped off the towel and threw it over his shoulder and whistled.
“David!”  He roared with laughter as he put it back around his hips.  Amanda chuckled.

David walked down the passage and gave her a cup of coffee.  He sat down and they both sipped.
“And what are we loading?”
“Definitely the lounge suite.  But only this afternoon.  With the girls shopping we have a chance to actually buy their gifts.  Any idea of what we are getting?”  Amanda nodded.
“Lots of little things.  Definitely a nice pair of sneakers each.  I saw some lovely little bra and brooks sets for them.  Oh all sorts of little bits and pieces.”  David chuckled.
“One year.  It was Victoria’s birthday.  I didn’t know what to get her.  So I bought her about ten little things.  And then I stopped and bought her a poster.  Every time we went past the shop she would go up to the poster and stare at it.  Well I bought it.  That poster has brought so much joy.”
“The one on her wall?”  David nodded and smiled.
“Sometimes you hit on the right thing.  And they really appreciate it.”  Amanda nodded.
“We will have lots of fun buying the bits and pieces.”
“And then I will leave you for ten minutes because I know what I want to get you.”  Amanda smiled and kissed David.
“Should we go out and have breakfast?”
“Yes.  I feel like an enormous breakfast.  I wonder why.”  Amanda chuckled.
“Mrs. Dudley must wonder why we are famished in the morning.”
“All that exercise during the day.”  Amanda chuckled and David grinned.

“Where did you find Mrs. Dudley?”
“That is the strangest story you will ever hear.  When I moved on to the ranch I had the crew up and running.  Put the manager in place.  And then things started happening.  I got the surgery up and running.  I spent every Sunday doing the washing and tidying up.  It was a nightmare.  All I wanted to do was sleep.  It carried on for a few months.  Then I had a week of dipping.  From ranch to ranch.  A solid week.  It was the Saturday and I had the last dipping to do.  I did it and when I got home I slept.  Knowing that I had to get up on Sunday and tidy up. I woke up on Sunday morning and I could smell the coffee.  I looked at the bedside cabinet and there was a cup of coffee.  I sat up and drank.  I thought I was dreaming.  I got up and walked down the stairs.  I could smell the bacon sizzling away.  I walked in to the kitchen.  And there she was.  Cooking up a storm.  She told me to go straight back upstairs and to get in to bed.  Breakfast would be served.  The more I argued the more she told me I needed my rest.  Well I did. I went to the bedroom and she brought me my breakfast.  And then the cleaning started.  I didn’t argue.  From that day on she has been my housekeeper.”  David chuckled.
“I wouldn’t argue with her either.”  Amanda chuckled and nodded.

They both got up and got dressed.  David smiled as they walked out the door.  He drove straight to the mall and
they went to go and have their breakfast.  Amanda had her list of everyone.  The shopping began.  David chuckled with laughter at some of the things Amanda bought.  She bought something for every person in the family, including Mrs. Dudley.  David took all the packets and put them in the van.  He went to go and buy Amanda’s gift.  He knew she would love it.  He stopped and bought a few more little things that he had spotted.

He
went back to the van and put them far from sight.  He walked back in to the mall and found Amanda.  She had her hand on a sexy little pair of pajamas.  He whispered.
“Go for the black.”  Amanda turned and giggled.
“David!”  He grinned and nodded.  She smiled as she bought the little suit.  They walked in to the furniture shop and chose two lovely desks and bought two proper typists chairs for the girls.  They arranged to have them delivered to the house.
“There is something we have forgotten.”  Penny walked over.
“No need to buy a bow.  I sorted that out.”
“Oh my gosh!  Wrapping paper!”  Penny and David roared with laughter.
“Thank you for reminding me Penny.  Hey where are you off to?”
“I have Charles who has sent me browsing.  Mom and Dad, your Mom and Dad, and the girls are very busy browsing and buying.”

They all walked off towards the restaurant.  David hugged Amanda as they walked.
He chuckled as Victoria and Nicola came running towards them.
“Hoi!”  David chuckled as she hugged and kissed Amanda and himself.
“Hoi yourself.  What did you buy?”
“Oh heck!  Wrapping paper!”  Penny gurgled with laughter.
“David before I forget I am nipping in right here.”  David smiled as she walked in to the shop.  Everyone stood waiting and chuckling and chatting.  Amanda quietly phoned Penny.
“Get in here woman!”  Penny smiled.
“Excuse me for one second.  I need a roll.”  She walked in to the shop and found Amanda.

Amanda
looked at her.
“Bargain!  Help me choose.  I am going to choose for the girls, Olive, and me.  You choose for my Mom, Mary and yourself.”  Penny giggled as she chose three cookery books.  Amanda took them all and paid for the books and the paper and the tape and everything she needed.  She put the three that Penny had chosen in to a different bag.
“Which one is yours Penny?”  Penny smiled and took it out.  Amanda took it and handed her cookery book to Penny.
“And this is my one.  Don’t mix them up.”  She chuckled and nodded as they put them away.  Penny groaned as she went off and bought a few more rolls of paper.  They both chuckled as they walked out.
“That does not look like paper alone.”  Amanda chuckled.  They all walked to the restaurant and took a seat.

David looked at Victoria.
“Have you done all your Christmas shopping?”
“Uhu.  Every little thing.”  David smiled and nodded.
“Nicola?”  She nodded.
“Yep.  Everything.  And I hope you bought Melody something.”
“I did.”
“You did!”
“Yes.  I bought her a little jersey.”
“Awwwww sweet!”  David chuckled.  Amanda grinned.

Claire looked at Amanda.
“Now next weekend is the wedding.  Have you got a dress and a suit and dresses for Victoria and Nicola?”  Amanda nodded.
“Yes.  We have everything.  All you have to do is be there.  Everything has been arranged.”  David nodded.  Victoria and Nicola both nodded.
“So it is at the church.”  David nodded.
“From there we are going to be going to the reception.  All arranged.”  Claire smiled and nodded.
“Everything?  The cake and everything?”  David and Amanda nodded.  Claire looked at Nicola.
“I have a dress Mom.  All sorted.”
“And what I read on the invitation was smart.  Not formal or anything.”  David nodded.
“Mom we did that for a reason.  Not everyone has a suit and tie.  As long as they look smart.”  Claire smiled.
“I like when you call me Mom.”  David chuckled.

“And we are all sleeping at the ranch.  Now you do realize that Mary and Tom have not even been.  How ghastly is that!”  Amanda gasped and looked at David.
“Oh I am so sorry.  I am so sorry.”  Mary chuckled.
“We have been busy and so have you.  But we are going to come over on the Friday evening.  And we will spend the weekend.  Thank you for our invitation.”  Amanda smiled and nodded.

Sydney and Olive walked over and took a seat.  Olive grinned.
“We would have been here sooner but I had to get an outfit.”  They all smiled and nodded.
“And we will definitely be there on Friday.”  Olive smiled.
“What are we all doing for Christmas?”

Nicola cleared her throat.  David looked at her.  She grinned.
“I would like to table my suggestion without a shoosh.”  They all looked at her and grinned.
“I think.  Victoria and I think.  Victoria, Mom and I think it would be nice to spend Christmas Day on the ranch.  Because you have a super large tree.”  David nodded and looked at Amanda.
“And I think you are right.  Amanda?”  She nodded and smiled.
“To make things easier bring an overnight bag so that you can leave it there.”  They all nodded.  Olive smiled and looked at Sydney.
“We will go and see your folks first thing in the morning and then we will go to the ranch.”  Olive shook her head.
“We can go the day before.  Otherwise we will have to travel and get there late.”  Sydney nodded.

They all had their lunch.  Everyone added their notes to the bill folder.  David smiled as he handed it to the waitress.  They all got up and started walking out.
“Charles you ready to load the trailer?”  He nodded.  Sydney smiled.
“Need a hand?”
“That would be great.  The desks are going to arrive as well.”  They all headed home.  The lounge suite was loaded.  Victoria and Amanda cleared the remaining things from the house and packed them in to the boxes that stood ready.  Amanda chuckled as the folks walked in with empty boxes.  They packed every little thing that they could.  The desks and chairs arrived and were loaded.  They started loading the vans as well.  Charles and Sydney loaded their vans.  Soon everyone left for the ranch.  They packed the boxes in to the shed.  The desks were put in the bedrooms and the lounge suite in the boot room.  Everyone walked out again.  They waved as they drove off.

David smiled.
“I did invite them to stay over.  They didn’t want to.  They said they would be doing it properly next weekend.”  Amanda smiled and nodded.
“I am glad we moved everything.”
“So am I.  We will unpack box by box.  What we don’t need.”
“We are going to add everything to what we have.  David we aren’t getting rid of anything.  We put everything together and it is ours.  If you would like.”  David nodded.
“I would like.”
“A box a day?”
“A box a day.”

David walked to Melody.
“Oh my baby what is wrong?”  He opened the cage and she hopped in to his shirt.
“Did you miss me that much?”  He smiled as he rubbed her through his shirt.  He looked around.  The lounge suite looked lovely in the boot room.  He was slowly turning it in to a cozy little sun room.  Amanda walked through.
“I have a few things that I would like to wrap.”  He smiled and nodded.
“You go ahead.  Have you fed all the babies?”
“I have.  All done.  I am in the bedroom.  It is very quiet.  They must be wrapping.”
“They are.”  She smiled as she walked out.  David walked to the van and fetched his gifts and put them in the boot room.  He walked upstairs and knocked.  He walked in.
“Tape and paper please.”  Amanda chuckled as she handed him the tape.
“That one.”  She chuckled as he took the roll of paper.  David smiled as he walked out of the room.
“Ladies you doing okay?”
“Yes and don’t come in here!”  He chuckled as he walked down the stairs.  He rubbed little Melody.  He got comfortable and wrapped the gifts he had bought for Amanda.
