broke

her
forehead.

Kerrigan set
her
on the bed.
The room

in

scent,

glad
to
be
wearing
the

weatshirt
to
hide
her
hardening nipples.

to
stop
the

encroaching

her
head
in confusion,
she

what
to

next.

knelt at
her
feet and took
hold
of
her

she

The
tingle

stopped

sparkles
around
the
two of
them
started

but

she
was
prepared.

Her

oved
as

in
a
trance,
slowly
scooting
over
and
off
the
top
of the
covers.

.

should
not have
vanished
in
front
of

like
that.

seen
him
behave
like

the

is
fine.”

Meeka
reached
out
from
under
the
covers
and
found
Catz.
Soft
fur wove around
her
fingers,

oothing
her
worries
aw
a
y
.
She’d
noticed
the
twinkle
in
Pad
d
y
's
e
y
es
when
s
he
s
poke
about Kerrigan.
It
w
a
s
a
m
o
ther's
look
of
love
for
her
child—so
m
e
thing
Meeka
had
never
kn
o
wn,
but desperate
l
y
wanted.
Stifling
a

a
wn,
she

ed
a
thank
y
ou
to
Padd
y
,
and
her

es
closed once
again.
