'And afterwards?'
'Afterwards we come home.' His arms
tightened around her. 'My country is very

be able to look on it as your home
eventually?'
She slid her arms up round his neck,
drawing him down to her. Vitas was
taking her to England, though it would
not be her that her grandfather would be
waiting impatiently to see, she knew, but
Mark. Yet that no longer had the power
to hurt her.
