When Janice came out of the bathroom, her hair was styled and big. Her makeup highlighted her features and made her look like a super model. She didn’t wear makeup very often, but she didn’t need any. She looked gorgeous without it.

She rummaged through her closet until she found a dress she liked and some heels. I watched her get ready without commenting. She decided on a purple dress—a very short purple dress—and some black heels. Her ass looked amazing in it. Her legs were thin and tight and her large tits made her waist look even smaller. I got an erection just from looking at her.

“You know it’s raining, right?”

“You know I own a jacket, right?”

I glared at her. “I would never let you walk out of the house dressed like that if I wasn’t coming.”

“Why do you think I decided to wear it?”

“To piss me off?”

“No. So you can be horny the whole time while you sit at the bar.”

“You’re such a bitch.”

“I know.” She fluffed her hair in the mirror then applied lip gloss.

“Having a hot girlfriend is such a pain.”

“Get used to it.”

I rose from the bed then dressed myself in jeans and a form fitting shirt. It made my chest look wide and my shoulders strong. It hinted at the abs around my stomach. I knew girls thought I looked hot when I wore this.

She stared at me, eyeing my physique.

“Two can play that game, baby.”

She rolled her eyes then looked away.

“Although, I admit that I don’t look nearly as fuckable as you.”

There was a small knock on the door.

“She’s here!” Janice said happily. She left the bedroom and I followed behind her. We grabbed our jackets then opened the door.

Monnique was wearing a tight black dress with a small jacket. She looked pissed. Cortland was standing beside her, looking equally pissed. I had a strong feeling that they just had the same fight we did.

Janice looked at Monnique then nodded to Cortland. “Is yours as bad as mine?”

“Oh yeah,” she said. “It was either this or I didn’t get to come at all.”

Janice rolled her eyes. “Aren’t we lucky?”

“Lucky isn’t the right word.”

Janice walked out then started to move down the hallway with Monnique. I locked the door behind us then joined Cortland.

“Thanks for texting me,” Cortland said.

“No prob.”

“I don’t know what the fuck she was thinking.”

“Janice was annoying too. I tried to tell her I’m just concerned for her, but it took a while to convince her.”

“Monnique always calls me honeybunny, but now she only refers to me as Cortland. I know she’s pissed.”

“Maybe that’s good thing. Honeybunny is a really stupid name.”

Cortland said nothing.

We followed the girls to the side walk then trailed behind them as they walked up the street. Their arms were locked together as they spoke to one another, occasionally glancing back at us with mischievous grins. A few guys whistled at them as we walked by.

I stared them down. “Thank you for the compliment.”

Janice and Monnique giggled then kept walking.

“So, how was work?” I asked.

“I know you don’t give a shit.”

“Well, what do you want to talk about, then?”

“Scarlet.”

“She’s the same. She’s been moping around.”

“Maybe you should take her out.”

“Or all of us should go out.”

“Let’s go something fun—like beer and wings while we watch a game at a sports bar. She can handle that, right?”

“I’ll ask her when we get home—if she’s awake.”

“Has she been working at least?”

“On and off. It makes me mad because it makes Janice do more work—which means she has less time for me.”

“I hate it when Monnique works overtime or picks up another shift—it’s the worse.”

“Why can’t they just be stay-at-home wives?”

Cortland laughed. “Monnique would never do that. She insists on being independent and all thay bullshit.”

“I hate feminism.”

“Me too.”

“Now if I open a door for a girl or let her have a taxi, she automatically assumes I just want to sleep with her. No, I’m just a nice guy.”

“The days of chivalry are over.”

“Long gone.”

“I’m glad that Janice stays home all day. That’s the best thing about her job—she never leaves.”

“And Monnique walks to her car in the middle of the night—I hate it.”

“That sucks. It would drive me insane. Have her switch shifts.”

He rolled his eyes. “Don’t even get me started on that.”

“It’s like they don’t listen to us just because they want to defy us.”

“Maybe we should start hitting them.”

“You know we can hear you, right?” Janice said as she looked over her shoulder.

“Uh,” I mumbled.

“We were talking about dogs,” Cortland said.

Monnique rolled her eyes. “You’re such a terrible liar.”

“Well, Janice is gonna get her ass spanked when we get home.”

“I look forward to it,” she said with a smile.

I growled at her.

When we reached the restaurant, we held the door open for them as they walked inside.

The host looked at us. “A table for four?”

Janice took off her jacket, revealing her rocking tits and ridiculous ass. “Just two, please.”

The guy glanced at her breasts then returned his look to her eyes. I wanted to deck him.

Monnique removed her jacket and that just drew more stares. Cortland said nothing but I knew he wanted to attack every man in the bar. The host led them to their table, close to the seats at the bar.

When he returned he looked at us. “And a table for two?”

“No. We just want to sit at the bar,” I said quickly.

“Yeah. We aren’t gay together,” Cortland said.

The host raised an eyebrow then looked away.

I turned to Cortland. “I don’t think that’s what he was thinking.”

“Well, I wanted to make it clear.”

“Well, it just makes you seem gay.”

“Have you seen my girlfriend?”

“Right this way, gentlemen.” He led us to the bar and we took our seats. “Here are menus. Have a great evening.”

“Thanks,” I said.

Cortland said nothing.

We both glanced to our girls at the table. Their legs were sticking out under the table, looking smooth and long. Janice’s dress slid up to her thighs. Purple was a good color on her. It went well with her skin tone. Her makeup and hair made her look like the Victoria’s Secret bus just pulled over and some models came out for the night. Monnique looked equally attractive. When I looked at the other guys at the bar, they were all staring at them, practically fucking them in their minds. I really didn’t like it.

“Let’s go over there and give them a kiss then come back. That way everyone will know they are taken.”

“I told Janice I would act like I’m not here. I can’t do that.”

“Then let’s send them some drinks.”

I shook my head. “I told her I wouldn’t pester her unless a guy wouldn’t stop bothering her. I intend to keep my word.”

He sighed. “Why do our girlfriends have to be so fine? I mean, couldn’t Monnique have worn sweatpants or something?”

“I’m gonna buy Janice some for her birthday. Hopefully she wears them.”

“I have a feeling she won’t.”

The girls startled laughing loudly after the bartender brought them two drinks. They were cosmopolitans—so typical. Cortland and I ordered our beers and watched the television in the corner. It was a baseball game. He and I ordered a plate of fries and wings. I tried to watch the game and ignore Janice but I would sneak glances at her once in a while. When I saw a man leave the bar with two drinks, I knew I wasn’t going to like what I saw.

He placed the glasses on the table and smiled at the two girls. I wasn’t sure what he said but it must have been funny because both girls started laughing. I tried not to let the jealousy get to me but it did. Cortland looked over and sighed angrily.

I forced my gaze back to the television and tried to ignore them.

“When do we intervene?”

“If he’s still there in four minutes, we’ll make our move.”

“Four minutes? I’m supposed to let some guy try to fuck my girlfriend for
four
minutes.”

“I told Janice I would give her space.”

“Well, I didn’t say anything like that to Monnique.”

“Janice has always trusted me and given me the benefit of the doubt. I need to do the same. I’m just a few feet away. If she needs me, she knows where to find me.

Cortland stared at his watch for the next four minutes. “Okay. Times up.”

When we looked back at their table, the man was walking away. The girls returned to chattiing happily. Their dinner was in front of them but they were hardly eating. I looked at their table and saw all the empty glasses.

“How much have they drank?” Cortland asked.

“I have no idea. But there’s at least eight empty glasses on the table.”

“And here comes two more.”

The bartender brought them two more drinks. A guy sitting at the bar nodded to them then started watching the game.

Cortland sighed. “Monnique is going to be so drunk. She’s a light weight.”

“Janice is too.”

“Such a lady.”

“They wouldn’t do that unless we were here.”

“You think so?”

“I hope so.”

“I don’t know. Monnique told me to fuck off today. She’s never said that before.”

“Janice was ornery too.”

“They’ve been spending too much time with Scarlet.”

I laughed. “That’s why they are becoming such brats. I gotta get her out of my place. Take her.”

“Hell no! Sean would come after me.”

“He’s probably going to anyway.”

He sighed. “I hope he keeps Monnique out of it.”

“I don’t think he cares.”

“She doesn’t know and I wasn’t going to tell her.”

“Maybe you should.”

“I don’t want her to act weird around Scarlet. She knows we are close. She might not be okay with it if she knew we slept together. And they’ve become good friends. They might not be if she knew.”

“It sounds like Sean and Scarlet all over again.”

“It does.”

“I don’t see why it matters. You didn’t even know Monnique at the time.”

“Yeah.”

“It would have been easier if you didn’t fuck her at all, but that didn’t happen.”

Cortland smiled. “Still mad about it?”

“I’ll always be mad about it. Now she’s living with me and Janice. We’ve only gotten to use that stripper pole once.”

“If you aren’t using it can we borrow it?”

“No. Janice is gonna be back to work when Scarlet gets out of there.”

“Damn.”

“Buy your own.”

“I think I will.”

“Do you think Monnique would do it?”

Cortland looked over at them. Monnique was laughing hysterically, her cheeks flushed, and Janice was drinking out of two straws. “I could get her to do it when she’s like this.”

“I like having sex with Janice when she’s drunk.”

“Me too.”

I raised an eyebrow. “With Monnique, I mean.”

“Thanks for the clarification.”

When the bartender brought them more drinks, I knew that was enough for Janice. She had more liquor than I had ever seen her drink. I knew she went out to have a good time but I didn’t want her to get sick. I looked at the bartender. “Two waters, please.”

“Yes, sir.” He placed them on the counter.

I grabbed them then walked over to their table.

Janice smiled stupidly when she saw me. “Yeah, sexy cowboy.”

“Cowboy?”

“Yee-haw!” Monnique said.

They both started laughing.

“I brought you something,” I said as I put the glasses down.

“Is that water?” Janice asked with a disgusted face. “Open up your coin purse a little, Ry-Ry.”

“Ry-Ry? No, it’s straight vodka.”

“Ooh,” Monnique said with excitement.

“Yeah, so don’t let it go to waste,” I said as I walked away.

They drank the glasses with a smile on their face. Neither one of them realized it was water—that’s how drunk they were.

I turned to Cortland. “I think we need to get them out of here. They thought that was vodka.”

Janice and Monnique started laughing again. We had no idea what was so funny.
