Peter Rawlik

In the beginning there were the books, and Pete Rawlik loved them.  Through the years they grew, some were lost, some were replaced, but the collection and the books themselves grew.  They filled his room, and then his apartment.  The apartment gave way to a house, but even that the books filled.  They grew bigger, and smarter, wiser, more difficult to understand, and handle.  Rawlik tried to stop them, he sold them, he gave them away, he burned them.  They found ways to return, and in the end they consumed him, filled him up, until all that was left were the words pouring out of him and onto the page.

Melany Van Every

When not trying to save the small Iowa town she lives in from Cthulhu and heavy metal groupies one country song at a time, Melany Van Every can often be found hanging out at local restaurants or the town's one screen movie theater.  Inspiration for her writing comes from such authors as Stephen King and Jim Butcher as well as the worst of the monster movies that cable television has to offer and wildlife documentaries.  This is her first time being published.
