Fractured Affections started as a small thought of needing something new in my life. That one thought led me to wanting something of my own. I wanted something that was outside of my normal everyday routine of mother and wife. I wanted to step out of my comfort zone. However, I did not get here on my own. I had a small support group in the beginning and they have stuck by me through it all and keep encouraging me today.

My husband, even though you are not a reader, you took the time to read my first three chapters while out on one of your hunting trips. It was when you came home and showed an emotional response to what you read that I felt compelled to move forward. It was inspiring to see you become engaged in a story, my story.

Vanessa, my neighbor, you helped me one chapter at a time. Sometimes needing to wait weeks in between, before knowing what happens next. You have been my biggest cheerleader and I thank you for all of your thoughts and help with this story and my cover.

Over time I became more comfortable sharing my new adventure with others and my support group grew. Larry, my brother in law, thank you for all the technical support you provided for my many computer mishaps and for designing my website. You also put up with my female mind, when it came to deciding which cover to use from the thirteen million I designed.

I have met so many kind and helpful people along the way. I could never possibly name them all. I am humbled by the amount of support I received from complete strangers, there are still good people in this world.

Karen Hrdlicka, my editor, thank you for all of your encouragement and guidance. You made the editing process painless and I can’t thank you enough for that. Even when we made it past your call of duty, you still made yourself available to answer any questions that I had. I also would not have had a beta team if it were not for you.

To my betas, Dana, Shannon, Jen, Melissa and Jess, thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedules to help me polish Fractured Affections. Each one of you had something different to offer. FA was better because of all of you. There aren’t even words to describe how thankful I am for all of you and your help!

Jen Wildner, from Just One More Page book blog, your love and passion for books is inspiring. You work so hard to help others, giving them your free time, because your heart calls you to. Not only did you beta read for me, but you helped guide me through my first blog hop. I had no idea what I was doing and only made it through with your help. Your love of books and authors is amazing, keep being great.

Melissa Shank, first of all, your smile is infectious. We may live across the country from one another but I can feel your happiness stretch across all those miles. You are full of so much passion for literature and it gives an author purpose. Thank you for beta reading for me, and passing along some great ideas on how to make the story better. I love the changes I made because of you!

Jeni Burns, thank you for being you. You befriended me when I came to my first writers retreat solo. Going to a large event like that was intimidating but you helped me make it through. You introduced me to several other amazing, sassy and helpful people. Plus you are full of endless information and are always willing to help and share your knowledge with others. I look forward to seeing where the future takes you, you deserve the best.

To all of my readers, thank you for your support. I look forward to connecting and hearing your thoughts about Fractured Affections. I can’t wait to move forward and share the rest of this series with you. Again, thank you for reading.
