“I ran over and got to my knees, holding out my hand for you. Your body was so dirty, caked in dirt and smoke. When you saw that I, too, was human, you threw yourself into my arms. Crying for your killed family members. You were all alone and I couldn’t leave you for Din to find, but that wasn’t the only reason I needed to cradle you in my new arms. I felt a bone deep need and longing for you.”

“I-I don’t know what to say.” And I really didn’t. I could feel the truth in his words, this wasn’t a story made up to put children to sleep. This was my beginning. He turned to again look deep in my eyes and his grip on my pussy relaxed. Again he started tracing my lower lips, that by now must be soaking my thin panties. I can smell my arousal, and his nose flares as we look at each other. He can smell me too, but even that doesn’t hurry his probing fingers.

“Pandora and I took you back to our pack and we bonded quickly. Surrounded by my wolves you helped me understand my human body and I fell deeply in love with you. I’d like to say you were crazy about me from the first moment I found you, but that wouldn’t be true. You made me work for your affection. I did anything and everything I could to make you happy and please you in every way. My pack loved you and would lay in your lap for hours just letting you stroke their fur. It wasn’t until after you finally admitted that you also felt strongly for me and we mated as humans that I could shift back to my wolf.” He finally peels my damp panties to the side and slowly sinks a long finger into my center. My body clutches at the intruding digit and I exhale deeply. He curls his finger and my thighs tremble as he strokes my insides.

“My kind calls us Spiritbonds, human’s today call it soulmates, but the meaning is the same. The morning after we made love and I claimed you as mine, I woke up as my wolf with you curled under my front leg. When you woke I was scared you would run, but instead you ran your fingers down my snout and I shifted back to my human form. It was you who gave me the power to change as I pleased.”

“Spiritbonds.” I test the words on my tongue and they feel true. “But if you are so…” I look down at his hand between my legs before finishing my thought. It’s such an erotic sight that it steals my breath in a longing gasp. His tan, corded forearm rests against the smooth expanse of my milky white thigh. I have to close my eyes to block out the desperate urge to come for him. “Old. If you’re so old, how are we here together? Why don’t I remember any of this?” My brain is struggling to keep up with the storyline as he teases me. I close my eyes and listen to his voice as the current inside my body builds.

“Din returned to us many, many nights after we had mated. He wanted you to give him the power to switch as well, but you weren’t his spiritbond. No matter how much I tried to explain it to him, he assumed I was lying. He snatched you from me in the middle of the night and took you so far away, I could no longer catch your scent.” His head hangs low now and his voice is scratchy like it hurts to talk. “I searched and searched until I found your body dead by the river. My heart died that day and I stayed with you like a cub who doesn’t understand why its mother won’t wake up.” With these words his finger stops moving in and out of my core and my pussy throbs around him, wanting and needing him to continue.

“I was so lost without you. Pandora took over leadership duties for the pack and made the strongest wolves drag me back to camp. I wished I was dead too, and stopped eating, stopped moving really. Days and months went by until I was so weak that even when I wanted to stand, I couldn’t.”

“Oh, Chaos.” My fingers reach up to stroke his dark hair and my hips rock on his lap, encouraging him to continue. His pain is still so real that it hurts my heart but it doesn’t override my need to get off. His finger only rests within me, and I try to keep from begging him to work me over.

“Again, Pandora found you when I was sure my indestructible body would cave to my heartache. Of course, you were in a new body, but with the same eyes, the same soul. She begged me to follow her and see for myself, but I thought it was a trick. Sick of my pouting she brought me to you herself. She bit into what would be my wolf’s scruff and dragged me to where she had last seen you. It really was you, but you didn’t know me, and for some reason I couldn’t shift. You took pity on the emaciated wolf, and day after day, brought me food until I was strong again. That lifetime I spent as your pet.” He chuckles and leans back into the couch removing his hand from my hair and using it to support my back as I recline into his body. With his chuckle he inserts a second finger into my juicy pussy and twirls them together as he drags them in and out of me.

“My pet?” I laugh with him until his fingers hit a tender spot just under my pubic bone. “Chaos!” I gasp his name and clutch at his wrist. “Please, I want to come for you.”

“Shh, my sweet Serenity.” He slows his strokes, but continues to find the swollen spot that makes my eyes rolls into the back of my head. “Don’t you remember that it isn’t the destination that matters, but enjoying the journey that takes you there?” He kisses me forehead and snuggles his jaw against my temple. “Let me enjoy your beautiful body and relax into the pleasure we share from it. My story is almost finished. I will take care of you when I’ve said what has to be said.” I accept his words with a frustrated puff of air. It’s funny how when you get exactly what you wish for, you don’t want it any more. I looked for a man who could make me come before undressing me and here I lay sprawled in my Spiritbond’s lap, being toyed with sexually and practically begging for release, while he is content to just prolong my pleasure. Be careful what you wish for, indeed.

“Back to our history. Yes, that life I was nothing more than a pet for you to care for. Unable to change into my human form, I was your faithful companion. Following at your heels and chasing sticks when you threw them for me. I was just happy to be by your side, but you grew old and I stayed the same. You died in your sleep and left me again. My healed heart shattered once more.”

“How awful, Chaos. I’m so sorry.” I apologize for my own death as if I could have prevented it and chose not to.

“Do not fret for me, my sweet Serenity. Your next lifetime was better for us. It was ages after the second one and my pack and I were living in the woods near Paris. The city was just being built and people were everywhere. We stayed hidden, but close, in hopes the other wolves would find their spiritbonds. Pandora found you again, this time you were a poor baker’s daughter in her late teens. Your hair was the same shade of red it is now, but instead of Pandora bringing you to me or me rushing to your side like before, I waited for you to find me.”

“You were playing in the woods wearing a cape of red silk with a hood that covered your hair from me. There deep in the forest you were picking flowers and looking for freedom, when you walked into my den. My body shifted to human so fast I was dizzy, but you knew me. You ran into my arms and cried my name. I felt as though I had found heaven in you again and we mated right away. I sunk my teeth into your shoulder and claimed you as mine before anything could come between us.”

“So if I find you, you can shift forms as you please, but if you come to me, you are stuck as my dog?” I skim my fingers down his chest as I ask.

“I guess that’s the short way to explain it.” His nose is tucked in my hair and his fingers brace my back as I roll my hips on his other hand. “We’ve lived many lives together Serenity.” His voice is rough once again and the hardness of his cock is so insistent it stabs at my ass cheek in search of attention but still he ignores his dick and only teases my now dripping snatch. “Some lifetimes were peaceful and some were full of war and heartache, but each time you are reborn we find each other one way or another.”

“And every time you have to tell me our story?” I close my eyes and listen to his steady heartbeat which is the exact opposite of my racing one.

“Not every time. Sometimes you know me instantly. Other times, like this one, your body knows me but your mind wants to understand. I’m happy to help you remember us and tell you all I can. It’s difficult to explain so many lifetimes to you quickly, but we always get through it.” He pushes softly on my back to make me sit up and withdraws his fingers from my body. Then lifts me so he can stand and lays me back on the couch and hovers over me. “Tell me you understand enough for me to taste you me sweet Serenity.”

“I do,” I nod quickly and watch as he takes the backs of my knees into each hand and opens my legs wide. His hands run down the back of my thighs then back up, as his head lowers. I squeak as I feel his nose run up my slick seam. “Chaos,” I pant lightly and he moans into my body.

“You smell as you always do sweet girl, but you haven’t ever been this wet for me. You’re driving my wolf crazy. I want to sink my teeth into your neck and make your body remember who it belongs to.”

“Yes, Chaos!” I beg but he ignores me as he sets about his task. From under my thighs his hands cup my ass cheeks and pull my body open for his tongue while holding my panties out of the way with the hook of one long finger. He laps at me and the buildup threatens to bubble over. I’m so close to the edge, my entire body trembles in need. My hips jerk up and Chaos attacks me. His tongue swirls around my thick, swollen clit and two fingers drive deep into my shuddering pussy. I come crashing over the edge with a scream unlike any I’ve heard from myself before.

I buck against his tongue as he continues to finger me slowly, allowing me to ride the orgasm until its end. Slowly he kisses his way down my inner thigh with soft brushes of his lips. His fingers slide out of me and he licks them clean. I watch him through heaving breaths, trying to regain myself. I’ve never come so hard or been played with for so long and it’s exhausted me.

Chaos sits again and tugs my limp form back onto his lap where he holds me tenderly. Playing with my hair and kissing sweetly at my neck. I cuddle in close to his solid side and feel like I’m able to exhale for the first time in forever. We sit in silence for a few wonderful moments before I mentally scroll back through his story and think of only one question.

“What happened to Din?” Under me, Chaos’s body tenses.

“He is here, in the park. Freak Show has been a big change for us. My pack owns Coyote Mountain and we spend time here, safe and happy waiting for our spiritbonds to enter the park, but Din stays on the Other Side. What he does there I’m unsure, but he has never found his soul bond in all these years and has stayed in his human form since the first night we changed.”

“Will he know I’ve found you again?” I sit up slowly and meet Chaos’s gaze.

“He probably already knows you’re here. If I could smell you as you entered, then I imagine he could as well. I don’t want to rush you, take all the time you need to feel comfortable and ask me anything you wish, but I need to claim you Serenity. Until I do, he can take you from me again.”

“I’m ready,” I use my hand on his chest to help me sit up straight and he smirks.

“You’re so beautiful.” He whispers as I straddle his lap and wiggle myself against him. My panties have slid back across my wet lips to cover my pussy. As I open my legs wide and press my heated core against his erection the fabric pulls tightly over my sensitive clit, and I moan lightly.

Unlike other men I’ve been with Chaos doesn’t rush me or pull me into the position he wants. He watches me. Letting me rub my hands over his shoulders and pecs. He waits patiently as I explore his upper body with my fingers while grinding my core against him.

Only thin fabric keeps his cock from entering me. The pressure of our rubbing against each other has me panting again. My hands lower to his hard abdominals, tracing the deep indentations of the muscles and my lips find his.

He nips at my lips gently and I exhale into his mouth. His hands skim up my thighs and he presses his mouth to mine in small kisses. He sucks at my lower lip and slips his tongue into my mouth. It’s the hottest kiss I’ve ever shared and I melt in his lap.

“Make me yours, Chaos.” I whisper into his kiss.

Eight…

The office door opens and Pandora enters with two large iced coffees in her hands and Anne and Kelly behind her. Both my friends push past Pandora and seem relieved to see me but shocked over my position. They begin to scurry over but stop just as quickly as they began and I jump up from Chaos’ lap. The girls practically tackle me with sighs of how happy they are I’m safe.

“We thought you lost your damn mind!” Anne scolds me. “I had heard of being horny as hell but you had fucking gone off the deep end on us. It wasn’t like you at all.”

“I’m sorry guys. I couldn’t help myself.” I shrug and look back at Chaos who is still reclining on the couch looking hot as hell. His erection is prominent but he does nothing to try to conceal it.

“Pandora kinda filled us in. It’s,” Kelly’s eyes roll far back into her head and her hands go up in the air. “In. Sane.” She breaks the single word into two words to emphasize how crazy the situation is. I can’t disagree with her and a crazy bubble of laughter falls from my lips.

“It really is insane. But,” My head shakes in disbelief. “it’s so right at the same time.”

Until now the sounds from the stage and its crowd had gone unheard from the office, but murderous screams reach us now. Chaos gets to his feet and yells out a bunch of names I’ve never heard before. The four young men that had been in the office when we came in, come running to his call.

“What’s going on?” His tone scares me and I look back and forth between him and the men all standing at attention in front of their leader. Their Alpha.

“I’ll find out,” the tallest of the four dashes toward the noise and Pandora grabs my hand.

“I’ll hide her, Chaos. Go with him.” Pandora’s usual light and teasing voice is none of those things now. It’s firm and tense. Something is scaring her and that scares me. I grab her hand on my wrist and pull myself closer to her. She feels as right to my soul as Chaos does and immediately I trust in her guidance.

Chaos touches my chin and looks as if he doesn’t want to leave me. He is warring with himself over protecting me or protecting his club. “Do as she says, I won’t be long.”

“I will,” I promise and he leaves with the three other men.

“What’s happening?” Anne whispers but Pandora is dragging me out of the office. I reach back to snag Anne’s hand in mine and like a chain reaction she grabs for Kelly. We follow Pandora through the hallways of the backstage area. We turn so many times I have no idea how far we’ve gone or if we’re right back where we started.

“Over here.” A demon like voice bellows from behind us and I look back to see a red headed man rushing after us. “She’s over here!” Kelly and Anne scream but I’m too scared to make a sound. Pandora is pulling on me but I can’t make my body work. My ankle rolls and I fall to the ground.

“Please Serenity, hurry.” Pandora begs while helping me to my feet.

“BULLSEYE.” The red head hollers and I feel my eyes grow wide in panic as something hard strikes me in my left calf.

“No, no, no, FUCK, no!” Pandora shrieks but her hand slips from mine. “Run, Serenity. Run as far and as fast as you can. Chaos will find you. Hide your scent if you can! Stay hidden.” She keeps yelling and tears are rolling down her pretty cheeks.

My body feels like its shrinking in on itself. It doesn’t hurt, but I feel smaller and smaller until the world around me goes black and I’m floating. I’m lost in the nothingness as I look around. I try to hold out my hands, but I can’t see a hint of them, not even a shadow passes in front of my eyes.

This must be what it feels like to fall down a rabbit hole. My stomach is shoved in my throat and I choke on my fear. Where am I going and what will happen to me when I get there? I bend my elbow and touch my finger to my nose just to make sure I’m still physically here.

I can still feel myself, I just can’t find myself. Tiny lights begin to spark in the distance. They fade and reappear in all different colors. I try to find where the next one will show up but it’s like watching fireflies. They are impossible to predict. The lights get bigger and bigger every time they come back to me and I feel my body expanding again.

I feel stretched out like silly putty in the hands of a five-year-old. All at once, I feel swollen until my ears pop and I’m standing on a wobbly table. I look around confused and off balance. The table under me topples and throws me to the ground. “Ow,” I complain and try to stand, but I still can’t make my body work.

“A gift from the human Gods?” a slimy voice asks with a hearty laugh behind his words. Grimy hands grab tightly around my right elbow. I look up to see a dirty man in a bikers vest lifting me to my feet. His long, black bread is grossly over grown and reeks of beer as he pulls me up against him.

“Let me go.” I try struggle but still my body isn’t responding to my own demands and I slump against him, useless to aid my own escape.

“Awh, such a pretty gift this time as well, boys.” The nasty man breathes hot air against my face before pushing me against another rickety table and leans on my shoulders until I’m bent over the sticky surface.

“Nooo!” I scream and try to pull myself away from him, attempting to free myself, but his weight pins me to the table.

“Be still, bitch.” He barks and strikes my ass with his open palm. Tears burn my eyes from the painful sting in my rear and the frustration of my useless limbs, but it’s the situation that hurts the most. His calloused hand gropes at my naked thighs, pinching its way up to my ass.

My body jerks and finally my limbs listen to my brain. My left leg kicks out, jabbing my sharp heel into his knee and he buckles behind me. Laughter erupts around me as I push from the table and fumble to the side.

I’m in a bar. A biker bar. No, an Other-race biker bar. The place smells of sweat and alcohol. Most of the bodies in here look exactly like the man I kicked. They look dirty, rough, and dangerous. My head swivels looking for the exit, but stop quickly when I spy a huge beast on the bar.

A Siberian tiger is lounging on the bar top with a metal cuff around its neck and a chain connecting it to the belt of a woman sitting on a stool near it. Her hands play in the big cat’s fur and his mouth opens like he is smelling me. Slowly, he stands to his giant paws and I back up quickly, afraid he’ll pounce for me if I don’t move now.

I fumble backwards a few paces, still unsure on my legs, and bump into a few more bodies. Each person I run into runs their hands over my body. Both males and females, they are all laughing deeply as if it’s some huge joke to scare a human girl like this. Which I guess, for them, it could very well be.

A shattering howl rocks the room and the tiger’s head moves to the right and his ears perk straight up, his substantial tail swishing like he’s waiting for the wolves to enter. This set of howls doesn’t calm and call to me like that of Chaos’ pack. This set feels wrong, and instinctually I know its Din’s pack making the sounds of being in pursuit of their prey. They are on the hunt and I just so happen to be the prey they are in search of. I need to go.

NOW.

The biker I kicked is getting to his knees now and cussing words I’ve never heard before as I back away from him even further. My ass bumps into a solid weight that I’m afraid to turn around and look at. Instead of turning, I dart to the left and spin around hoping to pivot around whatever or whoever I smacked into. Instead a hand grabs my hair. Luckily, the person reaching for me only grabs the ends of my locks and I yank my head through the pain so my hair slips from their dirty grip.

I don’t look, I just run. The tables in the bar are crowded together and my hips bounce off the hard edges like a Ping-Pong ball as I hurry around them. I can already feel the blood pooling under my skin from the bite of the tables’ corners and pray the bruises will be all I suffer from this ordeal.

When I reach the end of the cluster of tables, my hands fly out to catch myself as I crash into a wall. The howling is getting closer and the men in the bar are still laughing at me and my attempt to escape, but no one else is trying to grab for me. It’s as if they too, know its Din coming for me and don’t want to be in his way when he comes to claim his prize. I scurry down the length of the wall like a caged spider looking for a way out.

I feel a door under my fingers and shove against its weight. It swings open easily and I let out a sigh of relief when the light blinks on and I realize it’s a one-person bathroom. I slam the door behind me and my heels slip against the wet tile of the floor. On my knees I stretch up and flick the deadbolt lock into place. It won’t hold the men or the wolves off for long, but the sound of it clicking into place gives me a false sense of security.

“You can run little girl, but you can’t hide.” Someone calls from the other side of the door. I know for sure now that it was Din’s pack who sent the redhead with the Bullseye after me. “The big bad wolf is coming for you.” Laughter from the bar is crass as it rattles in my scared brain.

I flip around, my back now against the door as I frantically look around the bathroom for a way out. The toilet is unflushed and the scent is one of the most disgusting things I’ve ever breathed. My harsh panting doesn’t help my poor nose handle the odor. I press my forearm against my face to breathe in my skin instead of the feces in the room.

A small window above the hand drier appears to be my saving grace. It’s just big enough to easily fit my body without too much of a struggle. I throw myself across the small bathroom, slipping and sliding in the thick coat of urine covering the floor and scramble to the window. Its panes are painted shut, and no matter how much I shove at the sill it refuses to budge.

In a panic and with no time to spare, I pick up the small metal waste basket and chuck it at the window as hard as I can. The glass shatters and spills to the ground outside. I tap the waste basket against each side of the broken window to remove all the shards of glass left from the break and then turn the basket upside down on the floor to use as a step stool.

Shoving my head out the window, I peer down to see how far I’ll have to fall to the ground. It’s no more than a four-foot drop and instead of twisting my body to let my feet go out the window first, I lower my hands to the outside wall and lean forward. I face plant into the soft dirt but at least I’m outside.

The sky is a swirling mass of purple tones and the wind here is strong. So strong and so cold that as it blows across my face, I feel like it has icy claws. It winds my hair around my head and the ends lash at my exposed neck. Flashes of orange lightning strike across the sky in random patterns, I keep waiting for the crashing of thunder, but it never comes. Just endless lightening to light the dark sky.

I crawl on my scraped knees along the wall of the building and use its cracked painted siding to help myself stand up. I push off the wall and walk quickly to a group of bushes. They grab at my skirt as I make my way into its covering. The branches of the bushes scratch at my thighs and arms. They are covered in long, spiky thorns that embed themselves into my flesh and rip away my skin when I move through them. No matter how much it hurts, I have to get far away from this bar.

Pandora’s last words to me were to run, to hide and to disguise my scent but I have no idea where I am or which way would be smart to run. Her fear was so real. The way she yelled the words with tears running freely down her cheeks was enough to terrify me. This is the world she lives in and for her to be that scared gives me a clue as to how serious this could be if Din catches me.

What would he do to me? What if it isn’t even him, but another pack of howling beasts that are on my trail? I close my eyes and try to slow my breathing. Fear won’t help me escape. I have to use my common sense and my wits to stay alive, if I want to see Chaos ever again.

Another howl breaks through the night air and another set of chills races down my frozen spine. I pick up my pace. On the other side of the bushes is a street. More like an alleyway, lined with trash and dumpsters. In any other time and place, I would turn away from an alley like this. This is a place where people end up murdered and lie in the street for days as they decompose into the piles of trash because no one is brave enough to enter and therefore the body is discovered far too late.

I look behind me and know that I can’t go back that way. Then look down at the terrorist bushes I just passed through. My arms and legs trickle blood from a hundred different slices their thorns wicked grasps caused and I know that hunkering down in these devil bushes isn’t an option either. I have to go forward. Into this

On top of a pile of old, folded in cardboard boxes, I find a tan jacket and pick it up. It smells like grease and cigar smoke but I shove my arms into the sleeves and pull it tightly around my body. The wind howls as loud as the wolves, and I pray it doesn’t pick up my scent and bring it straight to my hunters.

I wander through the alley, walking carefully, with my eyes scanning every dark corner. I come out the other side unscathed. Well, no more than I was before I entered. If I knew what a red light district looked like, I would say this was it. Scantily clad women stroll up and down the sidewalks. Some of them have extra arms while others have four sets of eyes. No female is the same, but I try not to inspect them too closely. I don’t want them to notice me as I pass by the neon lights flashing in the windows of the buildings.
